The cazookie is a delicious treat and always worthy of date night. Super sweet, warm and melty. The atmosphere is really fun and cutesy, but come at the wrong time and you’ll have to wait to find a place to sit!

I came here a while ago and really liked it so came back recently. I got a slice of one of their popular cakes and halfway through eating it, I pulled out the longest blonde hair that came out of the icing. None of us have blonde hair, and it was so disturbing Bc it obviously happened when someone iced the cake. When you have a food business you HAVE to take utmost care that things like this don’t happen. We obviously will not be back!

Awesome place. Always delicious desserts and friendly service. The Cazookie is the best thing in the world and with an ice cold cup of milk it’ll make your day better!

I’ve been here three times over the past six years, and I don’t think I can be convinced to give The Chocolate another try. The first time, I tried a couple of cookies and was unimpressed. The second time, I got«The Husband» cake, which is yellow cake with chocolate ganache. I remember it being dry, too sweet, and lacking depth. Tonight it was the cazookie, a dessert that wasn’t offered the last time I came here. You can order two flavors of cookie, and I chose chocolate chip and peanut butter. The cazookie was just plain bad. The cookie portion was way too doughy – practically raw and very, very sweet. The vanilla bean ice cream on top seemed very cheap and not very flavorful. It was one of those desserts where you regret getting it after one bite but you don’t want to return the plate practically untouched so you just keep eating it. Yeah, I won’t be back.

The old house smell was very prominent. The chocolate caramel cupcake was good. The snicker doodle was way undercooked and the German chocolate brownie left a lot to be desired. Tried this place twice, don’t think I’ll be back.

Great place to take weird BYU hipster girls on a date. Buy her a cazookie and she’ll be celestially bound to you.

You know, they’re a bit overpriced and a bit too busy for my taste. And for those reasons, I wouldn’t really stop by very often. But the Kitty Katrina has my heart on lockdown. Every vanilla cake that I try I can’t help but compare to Kitty Katrina. No cake ever comes close. Time and time again, I wonder what she is made of that makes me keep crawling back to her doors. It’s no bland and ordinary vanilla cake, no no. The Kitty Katrina is a cruel but fair seductress that pulls you into her sweet and creamy soul for just one bite(or what feels like one bite) and then leaves you cold and alone in a twee pastel room with a hundred giggling young chaste adults on their boring G-rated dates. It takes a couple of minutes, but soon enough you are desperate for another taste of this irresistible cake but it’s all gone. The Chocolate bakes only enough to last until 10 o clock and even though it’s actually 7:30– they’re all out. They always do this. So you’ll leave, dejected and ashamed yet craving more. It’s a dirty, filthy cycle.

Seriously disappointed right now. When you pay 5+ dollars for a piece of cake, you expect a certain quality and presentation. Our piece was hacked away from the whole and ended up in our box, looking like a crumbly mess. I could understand cutting it in half to fit in the box, but this was just upsetting.

This is a perfect little dessert place for a cute date. It’s in a cute little house with hallways that kind of wind around with seating here and there. Its better for small groups of 4 or less than larger groups as there are not huge areas and tables for large groups. I enjoyed the cuteness and the experience. We shared a chocolate cake and a cookie but they seemed a bit on the dry side. The prices were a bit steep for what we got. Now that I eat gluten free, it’s nice to know of a dessert place that has some GF options so I will definitely have to go back and try it again.

The Husband is the best yellow cake I have ever eaten. All their layer cakes are incredibly good. I drive down from Salt Lake whenever I’m in town to get a slice. Definitely worth the trip.

Okay we had the cazookie and it was scrumdidliumptious! Hot and fresh, warm and gooey on the inside with a slight crisp outside, served with the cold ice cream. Delicious! I wish we lived closer so we could indulge more often. I can’t comment on the other desserts, but reward yourself with a cazookie.

The Chocolate is home. Very intimate and cozy atmosphere, and it has the best kept secret dessert, the Magic Potato! A sweet potato loaded with brown sugar and caramelized pecans and a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream, it’s basically a dream for every sweet potato lover. Everything I’ve had here is top notch, and I like my sweets. Perfect for a rainy day date.

The Chocolate is amazing. There are many dessert cafes in the area, and none of them compare. Everything I have tried from the chocolate is delicious. Their cazookies are especially good and their cakes are to die for. I love«The Husband» which is a yellow cake with chocolate ganache. The staff is always helpful and friendly and the place is always pretty clean. My only complaint is that is seems badly in need of a renovation! Tables and walls are chipped in places. And sometimes they just randomly shut down the upstairs and there really isn’t enough seating. This place is really perfect for a date night.

How this place is rated anything below 4.5 blows my mind! Ive yet to come across a more relaxed, comfortable and homey dessert place in Utah yet. Desserts are diverse and delicious. Since I got the cazookie with their iced cold milk, I have a really hard time getting anything else. Best dessert sit down in the state.

We had 3 cookies, the pumpkin cookie was average, the turtle cookie was good, and the chocolate crinkle was the best. This was my only time coming here, and it seems there is an old house smell to the entire place that kind of threw me off.

The first time I came here I fell in love with The Husband(yellow cake with chocolate frosting). I still love it, and I think their snickerdoodles are divine, but the last time I stopped in I was given a very small slice of cake. The cake wasn’t sliced yet, but I would hope there would be markings to approximate the size of a slice so someone isn’t getting skimped when it’s first cut into. When you’re charging $ 5.19 per slice, the size needs to be consistent. And of course I’m too much of a pushover to say anything in the moment, but hey it needed to be said.

I don’t care what anybody else thinks about The Chocolate because I really love this place, and not because it is the cutest little place to enjoy tasty treats. I love it purely based off of all the tasty treats I have had here. The Chocolate bakes some pretty amazing dessert in my opinion. As far as cake goes, I really love a nice big slice of The Husband which is yellow cake layered with chocolate ganache in between. They usually have some special cake of the day that isn’t on the menu which are always exciting to try; I’ve had a coconut flavored slice before that was simply divine. I’m not a huge cupcake lover so I don’t usually target the cupcakes. I have had the chocolate peanut butter filled one though, and need I say more? Choco+PB=Heaven! The brownies are delightful, though they are served chilled, just ask them to warm it up for you so you get a nice melt in your mouth experience with any of the delicious flavors; my favorite being the turtle brownie. Obviously you can tell I love chocolate and really just baked goods in general! I’ve only ever had the chocolate peanut butter chip cookies cause i love them so much but I’m sure the other flavors are delightful. And last but not least, the cazookie which is kind of hard to find Utah seeing as there aren’t many BJs around. If you’ve never had a cazookie, you really should get one, it’ll change the way you look at cookies and ice cream. Oh and by the way, the cookie is supposed to be a little undercooked in the cazookie if you’re a rookie and didn’t know that. I think one my favorite things about The Chocolate has got to be the tall, ice cold glasses of milk available for purchase. The temperature of the milk is perfect; its so cold that you think it should be frozen but its not, its perfect chilled milk to make for a perfect pairing with dessert. And really, who doesn’t need milk with dessert??? It’s a must!
