Delicious. Good service. Good food. Clean location. Great family dinner. I brought the kids out and they had dessert while I had fish and chips. Food came out quickly and was freshly prepared. I don’t get to Orem much but I will stop by when able.

Utah is not much of a fish and chips kind of place so its nice to have this option! We missed Skippers when it left and were thrilled it was back.

Ordered salmon Caesar salad. Waited almost 20 minutes. Friendly person brought the salad out & she apologized for the wait. The salad was very basic. Lettuce, salmon filet and plastic cup of Caesar dressing. $ 10 menu price. Didn’t hate it. Probably will stick with fish n chips next time.

Totally worth the 6 hour drive from Las Vegas. They remodeled the restaurant and today(May 9th) is their reopening. Food is as tasty as ever. Service is excellent. Love the All You Can Eat options. Still does not have a baby changing table in the men restroom and the water faucet in the men’s room still has too much pressure that will wet your pants. Great place. Can’t wait to visit again.

Ok I received communication from skippers the Orem location is being remodeled and will reopen in a few week so for now we remove the 1 star and plan to place a new review once it has re-opened. Went by there today 4÷20÷15 place is gutted it says here open but it’s not. So disappointed was looking forward to Skippers.

I had to update my review since the remodel is complete now… I like Skippers food. Great job on the remodel. Now the décor matches the good food and good service. I love the fish, shrimp, clam chowder, coleslaw, and baked potatoes. I love the malt vinegar on everything. It’s delicious in the chowder, on the coleslaw and of course the fish. I like that the food is cooked to order and delivered to your table. I love that everything is clean and fresh. The new décor is bright and vibrant with bold reds and blues. Be sure to check out the Marlin fish by the condiments and soda machine. Be sure to join the new loyalty club to earn free stuff.

I’m not a big fan of places like this. Everything is deep friend and unhealthy. BUT the food taste good and the staff was friendly. So I gave it 3 stars for the unhealthiness.

I love Skipper’s and really miss not having them in the Salt Lake Valley. We went car shopping recently and discovered that they have a store on Orem. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, and it;s worth the drive for my favorite chowder and fish!

Skippers was one of my Mom’s favorite places. I’m not sure if it was because she liked the food, or it was just handy because it was next to Savers. I gotta say, this is a nice alternative to regular fast food burger joints. The fish is good, not too greasy and the service is good. The bad: It could stand to be a little cleaner. Overall, I’d go back.

I feel like this is a confession, but I love Skipper’s. I love their clam chowder, their fish, their clams, shrimp and fries. I love that they have an all-you-can-eat option for nearly everything they make, including their chowder — not because I’ve ever taken advantage of it, but because I know it’s there for me if I ever need it. If only the food were healthier, so I could eat it more often. Ah, if wishes were fishes. Mmmm, fish…

The haddock is the best fish and chips I’ve found in Utah. It’s almost as good as some fish I had in Seattle. Don’t get the regular fish as it’s not very good. The haddock doesn’t have the fishy smell or taste you get with most fish here, it tastes more like fresh fish instead of the frozen fish it is. I love the haddock and try to head over at least once a month.

The food was great, but the restaurant could have used a good cleaning.

PRESENTATION: We ordered it to go so the meal we got was all in the TO-GO box. TASTE: I got the Skippers Basket, it had french fries, squid, shrimp and fish. All deep fried; lets say if you like fried food then this is the best place to go. Overall everything was decent, I wouldn’t like crave to come back, but the fish was moist and good. SERVICE: The gentleman that took our order was really nice. We had a groupon and we were under from the amount that we had and he was kind enough to tell us. VALUE: The value for everything we got was decent for the amount of food we got.

I’m giving it the benefit of not tasting the dishes that look best to me. I was there for the all you can eat special. The they proudly serve flavorless frozen pollock patties that are fried pretty well. That’s just not good eats. The company was good. The place is clean. People were friendly. That helps make up for not so good food.

I love it here. This is the only«authentic» Skippers left outside of Washington state. The Skippers name and company went bankrupt, and this is the last hold out here in Utah. It is the same fish, fries and chowder that has always been served at Skippers Inc. They have some of the best cod and chowder around, for a chain restaurant. They were closed down at this location for some time until all the vendors got lined up I understand. It is a very family friendly atmosphere, with coloring pages for the kids and a small table in the corner. They also have clams, shrimp, and chicken for those that don’t like fish. My only problem is with their pricing. It seems to have gone up over time(like everything). It is a lot pricier than other«fast food» of this kind. They are essentially a «mom and pop» place now, so take that into consideration. The food is quality, and they sometimes put coupons in the local papers to offset costs. It is excellent food though.
