Captain Electric

I recently asked for a quote to wire a new hot tub. The initial quote was $ 2300 and involved ripping apart quite a bit of my property. I offered the solution of suspending the wire from the house to the detached garage and didn’t get a quote on the demolition free option. I then just asked to have it put in the cheapest location right next to the panel and that was $ 1200. When I sent them away, they called back and said they could do $ 700. The second electrician I called quoted me $ 298 and did a timely and excellent job.
Captain Electric also tried to upwell me on adding new panels making changes to electric panel inside the house which had nothing to do with the hot tub and I said «no». So none of this work was in the numbers above.
Finally, they put a big sticker in my panel with their phone number so in an emergency they would be the first name i saw.
