Like other reviewers, I was overcharged for my room. They told me my card was declined, but the charges went through on my account. I don’t think this was a deliberate scam on their part, but their system for processing payments seemed pretty iffy – which is in keeping with everything else about the place, really. My very honest 10-yo daughter described the place as «dodgy» the moment she laid eyes on it. She isn’t wrong. The response from front desk staff, including the general manager, regarding the disputed charges was argumentative, unprofessional, rude, and showed an obvious indifference to customer service. The room itself seemed cheaply appointed and maintained with the same indifference shown by the front desk. Everything about the place, from the décor to housekeeping to the coffee, seems almost carefully designed to rise just precisely to the level of «barely good enough to be considered OK». The net effect of that much studied mediocrity makes one feel stranded in a desperate pit of despair.

After being in the car for over 24 hours straight, I pulled into Oregon not sure where I would be staying. I had called the hotel and Jocelyn was a very kind lady who had assisted me well on the phone. When I arived at the paddle wheel inn she was also the one to help me, I had explained I was in town for work and needed a few rooms for atleast the next 5 days. She was great helped me set the rooms up for my Co works. Along with my own room. She was very kind and very helpful meaning I wasn’t from the area and had just drove from maine. Keep up the good work Jocelyn, definitely very satisfied with her service and help.(:

Very nice place. The accommodations are very clean. The staff was very very helpful. Especially Jocelyn shes helped me reserve a room and got a really good rate. I really recommend this place to anybody visiting the area.

Read the reviews about bad WiFi so I carefully emailed and called weeks in advance asking to be put in a room closer to front desk where it is supposedly better. They ignored that request and put us in a far away room which had zero WiFi. Closer rooms had zero also. The cell service is bad also. We checked out of the hotel without having unpacked. The agent told us in writing we would not be charged. They charged us anyway. We called several times to speak to management. No return calls. No credit back to our MasterCard. Don’t stay here — they are clueless beyond belief.

If you go here, keep a copy of your bill for at least a couple credit card billing cycles. Of the four people that I know who stayed here(myself included), three were overcharged or charged for more nights than they stayed. In my case, I checked out and paid for my one night, then they altered the receipt to show that I signed to pay for two nights. My credit card company saw that the receipt was forged and I didn’t have to pay. But, still, that’s not cool. Nice hotel, otherwise.
