Food is good a couple things are hit and miss but over all good environment and food is good for Oregon city. If I were in Portland I probably would give 2 or 3 stars but options are limited and they are better than most places in OC. The things I REALLYLIKE are their Cajun tots, mojitos, pulled pork sandwiches and their crab cakes are amazing! Staff is nice and the outdoor seating is where it’s at on nice days. I also like that it’s not always crazy busy and service time is faster for it.

We ate here while we were staying at the attached Best Western. The staff was friendly and service was fast. I had an omelet which was yummy, very light and fluffy eggs. The sausage links were also very good. Potatoes were well cooked tasted like they had a hint of chili powder to step up the flavor just a bit. My wife tried the scrambled eggs and she didn’t care for their consistency. The view of the river is really fantastic! Watch out for special dates like Mother’s Day as it looks like the restaurant is popular with the locals(not just hotel residents) so without reservations it might be a long wait(1 hr plus).

Loved that it overlooks the river. Food was«mediocre». Stuffed salmon was dry. Crab cakes were«good». A little pricey for what you get; but a fun dining experience and kid friendly. Staff was pleasant and attentive.

Took my mother here for the Mother’s Day buffet. Not impressed and very disappointed. The buffet food was cold and the omelet was obviously not made with real eggs. The country potatoes they served with our omelette were cold and shriveled like they had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. We arrived at the beginning of the buffet and expected hot food. Very poor service. Couldn’t get a cup of coffee for nearly 30 minutes. For the price they charge, it was a complete rip off. I get better food at the cafeteria at work.

If you stay at the Rivershore Hotel this is the place for dinner: it isn’t great but it is convenient. Our server had a nice smile but was not a great waitress. We both had prime rib which was cooked as we ordered it but the meat was not great quality. Vegetables and potatoes accompanied dinner: I thought vegetables ok but potato was not good at all. If we stay here again, I will eat at the restaurant again. I would not make it a destination normally. I must add, though, that if weather permits, the deck has a great view of the Willamette River.

The Rivershore Bar & Grill is our go to restaurant in the summer time after boating on the weekend. We always sit outside on the deck so we can take in the serene view of the river. The staff is friendly and the food is a great value. The week day specials are good. Rivershore is also in the Aamerican Airlines Award Dining program, so it is a great way to earn extra miles! Looking forward to being out on the deck this summer! :)

There was 12 of us for dinner on a Saturday night. The food was fabulous. From salmon, crab cakes, salads to prime rib, all of our food was great. Thanks to the great servers as well. They both did an awesome job. We’ll be back.

We came on a Monday night and they were pretty steady but not busy and loud. Service was superb. We had a reservation and seated immediately. Clam chowder delicious. Filet mignon ordered well done was not dried out like it has been at other places. Rib-eye cooked to order, very good. Seafood Alfredo was interesting with 4 different types of seafood in it but still good. Shrimp & scallops were plump and tender, also good. We ordered bacon wrapped scallops as an appetizer as well which I was only disappointed b/c the scallops were med sized, not large. Didn’t need the dipping sauces it came with though, they were too good alone. If I was being picky, their décor does need updating and I felt like we were dining in an area that used to be the waiting area to be seated. Which I really think it was.

As you pull off the ramps from I-205 onto McLoughlin Boulevard, there is that monstrosity there that is a Best Western hotel. You sort of take it for granted. However, should you venture into the McDonald’s across the street for their dollar menu or further down the street into Clackamette Park where you will see ducks who will greet you enthusiastically if you bring bread, you might notice this restaurant. The Rivershore Bar and Grill is sort of a 3-in-1. It is a restaurant, it is a bar, and there is a terrace which, during the warmer months, has appetizers. That said, the different menus(standard, happy hour, etc.) can get sort of confusing. I’ve been here a couple of times. Without a doubt, the setting, with a view onto the confluence of the Clackamas and Willamette Rivers, is pastoral and relaxing. Also, the service has varied from good to very good. On the other hand, the ambiance is dated and fairly long in the tooth, yet their long in the tooth logo manages to remain cool enough. As for the food, as already has been said, it’s a wild card. I’ve only had a club sandwich with fries, which was decent, and a chicken teriyaki burger with tater tots, which was really good. I’d say it’s just a hair overpriced. However, from looking at their happy hour food menu, it looks like there are some good things to be had, and maybe a person can go with other people and they can share dishes the likes of spinach dip. A friend from Clackamas says that the crab cakes she has had from the appetizer menu were great and said she’s going back to have them again sooner than later. However, overall, I’d say the Rivershore Bar and Grill is a safe 3-star sort of eatery with a PacNW flavor thrown into the equation.

The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because the interior is a little dated . Great date night place. This place has a beautiful view and the foods pretty good to. My server Amanda was incredible very attentive you can tell she likes her job and cares unlike so many other servers these days.

We had breakfast here during our stay at the BW. We were given 2 free breakfast vouchers that were $ 7 each. I have to say — not bad because we weren’t planning to eat a HUGE breakfast and we needed to have something in our tummies. It’s very convenient if you are staying at the BW. There’s a view to the river but it was too cold for me to enjoy that. The first visit we ordered the signature omelet — Classic Sausage with cheddar and jack that came with country potatoes and toast — $ 9 not bad. I loved the english muffin! yum yum! we also got orange juice. It was enough for the both of us to share a light breakfast. The second visit we ordered the Carnivore signature omelet($ 12) with a slide of pancake($ 2) and orange juice. we shared that too. Overall the service and the food was good. Nothing really special or makes me want to go back to have breakfast.

This restaurant has one of the best salmon burgers in town and a beautiful view of the river. The restaurant is great for a date, but casual for a small group of friends too. They have reasonable prices. I have gotten discount vouchers from which has brought the meal tab down by 50% off. This is a top choice restaurant if I am venturing out to Oregon City.

We had mixed emotions when staying at the Best Western Plus Rivershore Hotel in late July. We received vouchers for a choice of six menu items. Beverages were extra. The pluses ~ The view! The hotel sits across a quiet road from the Willamette River. There’s a busy freeway bridge to the south crossing the river, but straight out from the restaurant’s deck, you have a scenic river vista. Occasionally a kayaker or boater would glide past. The outside deck on the second floor is large. Weather was pleasant enough to sit out for breakfast both mornings of our stay. The minuses ~ Food was adequate, but not memorable. It might have been improved by better service. Sorry, Oregon. Not sure what the deal is, but virtually every restaurant we dined in during our vacation had the slowest service imaginable. Really! Like it’s legislated that it will take a very long time to come and greet the guests. Then order taking seems to be a protracted chore. Once you’ve placed your order, you don’t know when the food might show up. So the kitchens are in on the slow-down plan. It’s not all on the servers. Some of the included options were«Hotel Breakfast Sandwich», «Hotel Breakfast Burrito», «Cereal and Fruit», and«Cinnamon Roll». Mixed bag on nutritional completeness. The second day we thought we’d wise up and send the kids to swim while we ordered breakfast. They’d have easily half an hour to 45 minutes to enjoy the pool while the food came to the table. Sure enough! They were done by the time the dishes showed up. Good luck to business people who need a quick breakfast before hitting the road! It’s one thing to linger over your food and enjoy the view once you have the chow in front of you. It’s another to sit and wonder, oh wonder, when it might arrive. You might be hungry. Imagine that. Don’t know how long it takes to get a meal at other times of the day, but at breakfast it was an excruciating amount of time. No apologies were offered by the server for the slow delivery. And no management personnel were in evidence. Between beverages and tips, it was no «free» breakfast. We had better experiences with self-serve breakfast buffets in other hotels on the trip. Definitely much faster and with better food choices.

My family and I had breakfast here during our stay at the Best Western Plus Rivershore. We were given free breakfast vouchers. However, the food was very bland. The scrambled eggs were dry and rubbery, the bacon was so crisp that it took several minutes to even chew it, the maple syrup had no taste(like how is that even possible??). My kids had the breakfast burrito and all said it just wasn’t tasty at all. None of us finished our meals and, in fact, we were given free vouchers for the following two days of our stay and we didn’t even bother. That’s how horrible the food was. We went to McDonald’s and Starbucks the following days for breakfast. Aside from the disgusting, tasteless food, the service was actually really good. Our waitress was very friendly and engaged my kids in small talk and she was extremely attentive.

We went there for my Sons last night before going to basic training in the Army. Service was awful and I had to bus my own table while our waitress was busy chatting with friends next to kitchen I contacted Manager Brian Grant via email and he wanted to know servers name ! Really? I gave him table, date and time we were there. You think they could figure it out. Spent almost $ 200 and I realize that although the amount was not huge, service was awful and I will never go back. BTW Brian never got back to me…

Ambiance: 2 Food: 2 Service: 2 View: 4 The parking lot is terrible and small! The kids menu didn’t even have a fish option. You don’t get soup or salad with the entrée meals. We were 1 of 3 tables there at 5PM — and one table was already finishing… The waitress got our order wrong. She never came back to the table until we were just about done… and you could flag anyone else for assistance as they were too busy chatting with each other. Very EXPENSIVE for portion and quality of food. The beers on tap are all IPA’s(yuck!) and a yucky Hef. Very disappointed and I doubt I will ever be back.

Very pleasantly surprised! For the first time in months, I didn’t obsess over the Unilocal reviews before trying somewhere for the first time. I ordered a Caesar side salad as an appetizer — hot damn! Best Caesar dressing ever! It comes pretossed and needed just a little bit more dressing but Lord, was this good. Fresh shaved parmesan(as expected on a caesar) and plenty of croutons atop very fresh mixed greens. I ordered the halibut fish and chips. The fish was golden, flaky and crispy. The fries were battered and crispy. The cole slaw was sweet and tangy. I could not have asked for more. My mom ordered the crab cakes which she said we’re equally delicious and my oldest son devoured a prime rib au jus dip. My only complaint was my youngest son’s meal. It was grilled chicken, grilled veggies and mashed potatoes. The vegetables were delectable, they were REAL mashed potatoes but the chicken was not seasoned. Perhaps this is because it was a kids meal and kids are often picky. I wasn’t even the slightest bit turned off. My kids are just not picky eaters at all atnd some seasoning on the chicken would have been awesome. As a side to entertain my kiddos, we ordered the homemade potato chips which were perfect. Homemade potato chips and a well brewed iced tea are the way to this mama’s heart. The meal was the best I’ve had in months(We dine out… a lot). The server, I believe her name was Alex was super friendly and on top of things. There were 11 tables full between us and the patio and she was the only one serving. It also looked like she was tending to the bar. She did not stop moving once in almost an hour. I was very impressed with her, the service, and the food. A river view on a beautiful spring day was just an added bonus. Highly recommended!

Decent food — not great. Went in for breakfast and actually — the sausage was nasty. Looked like a dried up prune. The bar wasn’t open and the bartender was late for work. I have had dinner here and the fish and chips were really good. This place is a crap shoot!

I’ve never in my life eaten a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner in a restaurant, so when my brother suggested coming here for Thanksgiving dinner, I thought it was a great idea. When he and my sister-in-law host holiday gatherings, they’re wiped out at the end of the evening. This was a good way to allow them a nice dinner and time to relax. The restaurant here has a beautiful view of the Willamette River with lots of autumn color left, the perfect backdrop for our dinner. Our attendant for the evening was properly attentive and particularly kind to the 90-year-old member of our party. We went to the buffet and had lots of choice; I’m not much of a turkey person and could have prime rib. Salads and side dishes were well represented, and I had dressing and mashed potatoes for dessert — like the old commercial used to day, «the only way to fly.» I was able to share a nice bottle of wine with my dining companions of my generation while watching my six and seven-year-old great nephews conversing with their teenage cousins; they really do grow up too fast. Long story short: this was a a fine evening and a real gift with the help of the Rivershore Grill. I think it is an evening my family will long remember.

After a long day of wedding makeup and absolutely not one bite to eat, imagine myself showing up ravenous, HANGRY, aching feet, ready to nosh. Since my wedding makeup gig was at the Best Western Rivershore, I opted for some eats at the hotel’s restaurant. Hello, Rivershore Bar and Grill. Now, my expectations were seriously low. Just off of work, far from home and out of my element; I’d have probably eaten McDonalds dollar menu at that point. However, I noticed that they do prime rib on the weekends. Bang-a-rang, ‘cuz this girl loves her some prime rib smothered in horseradish. And you know what? The prime rib wasn’t bad! It came with a decent baked potato, seasonal veggies that are probably frozen Sysco fare(ain’t nothin wrong with that, in small doses), and my whiskey cocktail was a welcome complement to my red meat. Would I go out of my way to eat there again? Probably not. But in a pinch, on a time crunch, and insanely ravenous, Rivershore did the trick. Oh, and I suppose the view from the restaurant side is great, but I sat on the dark dingy cave-like bar side. Can’t have little kids messing with my dinner vibe, you know.
