We live just down the road in West Sound, so we are spoiled! Best meat you can buy on the island. They carry halibut cheeks when they can get them, and house make sausage. They also have the best pizza for the price on Orcas by far.

Ron and Mary catered the annual Chamber of Commerce Labor Day BBQ Bash and it was FABULOUS. They provided a superb, well-executed menu, and kept the event fun at the same time. Their ability to produce high-quality items for a crowd is awesome!

Given how busy they usually are as they’re right at the ferry terminal, I’ve always been served with a smile. This store has everything you could need from kitchen utensils to deli food and pastries and groceries. A great place to stop by before getting on the ferry and grabbing some food to go. It’s a lot of stuff cramped into one little space and gets a lot of traffic close to ferry departure times. They source their goodies locally from the island and they’re pretty good. It’s not super cheap, the IGA is much cheaper but the quality of food is good and it’s really the convenience of being able to pick something up as you wait for the ferry. Their coffee is pretty decent too.

Absolutely the best food you have ever had in your entire life!!! I had Mary and Ron cater a party for me, and it was out of this world, amazing! They provided all the drinks, dishes, wait staff and the most amazing food I have ever eaten! The appetizers were perfectly prepared and plentiful. We started with Beef capriccio, smoked salmon, shrimp with a orange liqueur glaze, tempura, duck sliders, cauliflower soup, cookies, mousse, lamb riblets, ahi tuna, and more that I have forgotten. Great selection of red and white wines and friendly folks serving my guests. All the serving dishes, glasses, plates, napkins, silver were provided, and best thing ever… NODIRTYDISHES!!! I came off looking great and had zero cleanup. Best catering service EVER! They also brought their own tents and outdoor BBQ setup. No detail was missed!!!

We were pleasantly surprised to see all the gluten free and dairy free options available at the store. In fact all the markets on Orcas Island accommodate for allergies. The new co-op store in the town area has a remarkable array of all natural, allergy accommodating food. It was easy to be gluten free on Orcas Island!

Highly recommend Orcas Village Store especially the cheese, deli and meat department. Recently ordered Mad Hatcher Chickens deboned for chicken under brick and pork shoulder(deboned and wrapped). Best service on the island.

Excellent sandwiches and other deli items. They will toast your sandwich if asked. Good coffee and soup too. Pizzas ready to bake are wonderful if you have an oven available. It is a full grocery store too. Locals go here. No matter how busy the service is always fast and helpful. Highly recommended.

Great store! Pretty busy because of the ferry, but the checkers were quite efficient. The deli sandwiches were tasty but a little pricy! Definitely would stop here again on our next visit!

This place is pretty awesome, the food is really fresh and locally sourced, all the goodies a hungry traveler would need and with 3 – 4 hour wait times it is a great location too! Sandwiches are great, had the Caribbean chicken jerk with pineapples, onions and bbq, she had the turkey with provolone, pesto and tomato on wheat. Both were great. did NOT know you could grill you sandwich, that should be a must!

The Orcas Village Store has become the gourmet grocery store on the island and offers a great selection of prepared food. The sandwiches are amazing here, so if you’re looking for a quick bite on the go definitely check this place out. I also think the pizzas here are very tasty but they are sold uncooked, so they are perfect only if you have access to an oven while you’re staying on the island.

This is a great place to stop for a sandwich, either when you just get off the ferry or when you are waiting in line to board a ferry. The service is prompt and the sandwiches are good! I highly recommend the ham, brie and mango chutney. Also, be sure to ask them to grill your sandwich. You will choose your sandwich out of a self-serve deli case, but if you ask, they will then put it on a panini press for you so you can have a nice toasty and hot sandwich. Oh, this is a little grocery store, too, if you want to pick up some wine, cheese and crackers for an island picnic. And, if you are headed off the island, this is a great place to pick up some local products to take as gifts for the folks back home.

Seriously — eat the sandwiches. You’re waiting for the ferry and are hungry. Wouldn’t you want a homemade crab sandwich with an obscene amount of crab in it? Well, we did. Someone there really, really cares about the sandwiches they are making for people.

A nice place to stop while waiting for the ferry. You can pick up a quick meal, snacks, or souvenirs instead of just sitting bored in your car. Their chocolate chip cookies are a bit pricey but pretty good and very big.

Seemed to have quite a few good options. During the construction on the building, it wasn’t very clear if they were open.

Best prepackaged deli sandwiches. I had a ham sandwich with stone ground mustard and mango chutney. It was delicious! Although I’ve since heard that the meatloaf is the best. oh well next trip.

Orcas Village Store is a fantastic little market for all your needs on the island. Located just steps from the ferry landing, this market has everything from a little deli, espresso counter, meat department, dairy, produce, and dry goods. I generally use beef, organic eggs and milk prices to compare to other stores. Orcas Village Store prices were all in line with a regular supermarket or someplace like Trader Joe’s, but the quality seemed better. The produce was exceptionally colorful and bright. Had we had a grill available for us to use, I probably would’ve bought a couple of rib-eye steaks here. This tiny market beats out the other big market on the island(Island Market), which you wouldn’t expect, being so close to the tourist drop-off. Stop here first, before heading out to your island destination.
