the rice and marinated chicken has no flavor. the house salad was too bland ==lack of salt and pepper. the lamb was loaded with black pepper and ash. plenty of parking spaces. there is a small bar and seat about 6 persons with flat screen tv

I came here for the first time with my boyfriend’s family for a birthday dinner this past Saturday. I had the salmon dinner and they cook it perfectly! Crispy on the outside, flakey and juicy on the inside! The rice is AMAZING! The hummus is THEBEST I’ve ever had! I even came back tonight and got salmon dinner to go to enjoy dinner outside in my backyard on this beautiful summer night. I’m not really one to eat exotic type foods, rather than Mexican or Italian, but I’m so happy that I was introduced to Saffron… It’s so close to my home, I’ll be coming often and plan on bringing my family and friends. The restaurant is beautiful too and everyone is so kind! I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars :)

I have been coming to this place ever since a good friend had taken me here about 4 years ago, and it is now one of my favorite places to eat. Besides the food being great, the service is also amazing! I like to order family style: I get salmon, boneless chicken, and ground beef– all over rice(the dill rice is also great). They do have a buffet on some days which is also a great deal!(I’m not too sure about the specifics, so I would call in and ask) If I remember correctly: weekdays until 3pm and its around 11 $ or so Had savory soups, fresh salads, juicy chicken, flavor packed beef, hummus, rice, and a couple more items I wasn’t able to get to. THESALMONISAMAZING– if you’re ordering something I’d get that if you like fish. I’ve been here and they have had entertainment on many occasions! BELLYDANCERS, SINGERS, PIANOPLAYERS, it all depends. I’m not too sure what the schedule for that is but I encountered that once in a while– such a great experience. 10⁄10 would recommend to anyone.

Ok I came back when I saw the lunch buffet sign and figured I love meat what could go wrong. And if you love meat and veggies with flavor then this is your best bet. The buffet is the way to go!!! And no mayo sauce this time just amazing cucumber yogurt, they have skewers and salads, and soups, so good and healthy

It’s good, but to pricey. Staff as well is not so nice, they take for ever as well. The food is good, but they need to step it up, thats why it’s always so empty when I go.

Had the lunch special chicken shish kabob with lobia polo. 3 pcs of chicken 2 of them inedible(hard & dry). loobia polo(rice with green beans) is supposed to have fresh green beans with a tomato purée base. No such thing. This will be my last visit. If Darya is a 7 or 8 this place would be a 1 or 2.

This place is good but not the best. I was here with my family for lunch buffet at 11:45. The salad was not fresh. The steamed rice was very dried. Stew was not really Persian bamieh stew but the chicken kabob was great, I really love it. The place was really clean and good.

Called to place an order and was told they won’t deliver under $ 50. The gentleman argued with me stating it’s posted on Unilocal and I said«I’m looking at it right now and it’s not stated anywhere«. I was told to call Unilocal and I replied that I don’t need to its not my business reputation on the line. Don’t offer delivery if you can’t back up the service or your so called«good name».

Well tried to order but when I asked if they delivered he sort of hissed and said only if you order $ 50 and over but that attitude killed it for me so sad that people hurt their own business

Really great menu options and great service. It was a little pricey but delicious food. My only complaint — if I had one — is that the baklava wasn’t great.

NEVEREATHERE!!! If I could give this place no stars I would. I called to see if it was a busy night and I was told it was but to still come. We get there and the place is completely empty and quiet. After we placed our orders a storm of dressed up people and band came in and started having a party right next to us. The music was so loud I couldn’t even here my friend sitting right next to me. We had to sit without being able to talk and we all have headaches from the horrendous ethnic music. I complained to the manager that he should have mentioned there would be an event going on and he did nothing to accommodate us. The food was terrible and I have tried a handful of Mediterranean/Persian restaurants. I’m pretty sure I have food poisoning from the uncooked meat. Gunna go puke now UPDATE: just vomited! UPDATE: on the way to urgent care

We came here for their lunch buffet. M-F 11 – 2:30pm $ 10.95 The buffet table had 2 salads, 2 kinds of rice, 3 types of entrees, 3 soups/stews, and some sauce. Salads: There was a garden salad and a salad shirazi. The romaine in the garden salad wasn’t very fresh looking. It is probably due to prepping the salad way too early before being served. The shirazi, a cucumber and tomato based salad, is just ok. I had it on it’s own and then added it in a wrap made with the free bread they give out. I’m not a salad person, so I didn’t care for either salads. I came here for the meat! Rice: Choice of steamed basmati rice with saffron or mixed rice. Entrees: There were 2 kinds of koobideh(skewers): beef and chicken. Both were good. The beef was juicier and more tender. Well seasoned. The third entrée was grilled chicken pieces mixed with onions and bell peppers. This was my favorite. The chicken was most excellent here. Tender, juicy, and almost had that melt-in-your-mouth feeling. Weird since chicken is such a lean meat. It reminded me of fajitas. Soups/Stews: Soup-e Jo is this yellow veggie barley soup. It’s tasty. I liked it so much that it made me want to go home and try to re-create it! Ash Reshteh was also served for soup. It had a lot of beans and noodles in it. I stayed away from this one since beans gives me gold medals in the sport of farting. The last one was a tomato based vegetable stew. This one didn’t stand out. Sauces: There were 2 yogurt dips: maust(plain) and maust-O Khiar(tzatziki style). The plain yogurt dip tasted like sweet ranch. The maust-o khiar was better, but it was lacking a wow factor. The hummus was a bonus. This hummus is better compared to other places since it is not as grainy. There were 2 other liquidy sauces available. I didn’t try those. They looked like salsa. The biggest disappointment about this buffet is that there are no desserts. No fruit trays or Persian goodies to end the meal.

Fine dine-me time baby! This place is legit. You’ll have all the time for yourself. Peaceful: It seems like no one works here. All the staff are hiding in the kitchen — they respect your private time alone dude. Noob tips: Beef Koobideh or chicken koobideh = safe order

We went to have lunch and the food was not just good, was the best persian kabob, my husband mix his bills and gave the waitress and extra $ 100. We were leaving the change as a tip, he came running to us and he told us you may have it wrong because is an extra $ 100. Very honest people, good service and great food.

Way overpriced for simple dishes. A pile of rice with small pieces of meat. Place was dead with dim lighting. Only 3 groups of diners and one of them was occupied with the owner. I don’t know how this place survives. Don’t believe the other Unilocalers.

Girlfriend posted a day ago. She took the words right out of my mouth. I love salty foods! And the gheymeh was just that. Not sure if this dish was supposed to be as salty as it was or if the chef made a mistake, either way, it was good. Chef, if you’re reading this, make this mistake again next time I order… anything. Ordered take out and they prepared the goods right on time.

I pass by this place whenever I would go to meetings in Orange. I’m a huge Mediterranean food lover, so I was definitely intrigued. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, so I didn’t really know if it was worth giving it a shot. It so happened that my boyfriend and I were off on the same day one Thursday, so we decided to check it out. We JUST missed the lunch buffet($ 10.95!!! Not bad!). A bit bummed by that, but whatevs lol I ordered the boneless chicken kabob and hummus and he ordered the shish kabob. Both dishes were delicious! The meat say cooked just perfect and it was juicy. The lunch portion was just enough too. It was filling as it is(I can only imagine how the dinner portions are). I would definitely be coming back here. This time for the lunch buffet lol

Quality of food is amazing. Nice to go to a Persian restaurant and order Tadiq and they actually HAVEIT. Koobideh kabob with lubia polo is amazing and the Lamb Shank with Baghali polo is devine. Food is really amazing. Owner was extremely polite. We went at an odd hour of the day 4:30 so it was very quiet. Way better then Darya and Caspian!

I’ve been meaning to try this place for a long time, so I finally decided to go for dinner! I love Persian food so I was super excited to try this place. The outside of the restaurant is pretty unassuming, so I was quite surprised by the fancy décor on the inside. The place is huge, but there was only one other group there — I’m assuming they are busier on the weekends. The service great, and our waiter was very helpful and nice! We instantly ordered maust o musir(yogurt with shallots), and it tasted so fresh! We ended up ordering a second bowl to go with our meal. I ordered chicken kabob with saffron rice. The serving sizes are very big, and I only ate less than half of my plate(which was fine because it made great leftovers!). The food tasted great, but a few pieces of my chicken tasted a bit burnt. Other than that, the food was amazing! I was pleasantly surprised with how tasty everything was. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area!
