Jim’s Shoe Repair

I’ve used this shop twice to repair shoes and both times I was amazed at how good they looked. Both times shoes were ready on time and the service was friendly. I’m taking a pair of my husbands shoes in tomorrow.

Avoid like the plague.
Overpriced and not worth it. I brought in 12 pairs of shoes for repair. $ 475. OMG thats like buying a pair of shoes?! Whatever, I paid it because you have to pay up front.
It had been a month, no phone call. I finally go in. Some of my shoes were done. They said they thought they called me for permission to charge EVEN MORE because of a cracked heel or some BS on 2 of the pairs. I agreed as they had completely torn them apart at this point. Another 2 pairs weren’t done to specification, so I reminded them what should have been done. I asked them to CALL ME when it was done.
Another month goes by, no call. I finally go back. I pick up those 2 pairs, one of them looks horrible. They still haven’t started on the other ones, they didn’t remember getting my permission to finish the repair.
Its been another month and I still don’t have the shoes.
There’s a place at Fashion Island that charges no more than $ 20 a pair. I’m going there from now on.

I came in on a Sunday (even though their sign says they are closed Sundays, they were open). My boot had a broken zipper, and they said they’ll fix it for $ 15 by Thursday, and they’ll call us when it’s done.
By Saturday, I called them, and they told me to come in later that afternoon. When I went in, the woman said something about how she started working on my boot since I had called that morning. They replaced the zipper on my boot, and for only $ 15!

Shoes were supposed to be ready on Friday. Went Saturday and they had lost my shoes. Said they would call — didn’t. Went the following Tuesday — still lost. By Wed. they were found. One big problem — the stitching wasn’t done completely. In fairness, I didn’t have to pay for the stitching — they glued it instead. After 5 days of wearing the glue has come apart. GO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
