The guacamole fresca(made table side) was a good size portion and was very good! Entrées were flavored well and also a good portion. Service was great! I will definitely be back!

Great happy hour specials from 11 – 7 daily! Fresh guacamole made table side. We love the salsa. I tried the Sopa de Pollo, and it was great! They need to keep a better eye on the front door, we had to wait a few to be acknowledged. The décor is very colorful and festive, booths are private, and it looks like a covered patio is coming soon for outside dining. Our server was attentive and friendly and the house margaritas are $ 2.99 on Thursdays. They were a little weak, but that’s probably for the best since we sat there for a couple hours eating and drinking and chatting. They have fancy margaritas if you prefer something stronger. An attractive alternative to LaNopolera, which I love, but sometimes feels like the only game in town.

I stopped in earlier this week because I was craving the sopa de pollo, and it was just as good as I remember. Salsa’s has the tastiest salsa in town and that hasn’t changed since my last visit. The service was fast and friendly as usual. This is still my favorite Mexican restaurant in Orange Park. Nothing beats it.

My girlfriend and I just moved here from El Paso tx which is located on the border near Juarez. I can tell you this place is legit. Great prices and service(ask for David he’s the best) and ask for the hot salsa when they bring your chips. The food is authentic and is consistently amazing. I often get the El Paso. Great atmosphere! They always show the games and it’s not too loud in there. The bar is priced pretty cheap with buy one get one free deals before seven. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone to try if you want AUTHENTIC Mexican food!

Horrible. Bad food. Overly salted. Rice not cooked all the way. Refried beans under cooked. Manager insulted us by saying his food is great and we were wrong. Never again will I come back here or refer anyone to come back here.

I went with a friend and we both had to return our food, which wasn’t even the same dishes or meats. It was terrible. The food was too salty or lacked flavor all together. The table-side made guacamole and the courteous staff were the only redeeming qualities. The retried beans and shredded beef were so salty that it was inedible. The rice lacked any flavor at all. The sauces for the burritos and enchiladas were nasty. The fundido with chorizo was so greasy and soupy. My friend, who is Mexican, asked from what region the food was stylized after, the staff couldn’t say. In all, the staff was quick to comp the food, but the food was awful.

Came here to try the margaritas after we saw the reviews. Let me first say, I’m not sure if this place is new and they just haven’t figured burnout or if they’re always kind of «all over the place». We sat at the bar and the hostess or maybe she was a waitress was going to serve us, but she didn’t know how to make our margarita. Should’ve been my first red flag. So, the bartender comes and makes our margaritas but one with presidente brandy. We ordered 2 regular margaritas with Milagro silver. Hhhmm. 2nd red flag, waved! So we try them. They’re ok. Really just ok. The menu looked decent but we did t have time to try. So here is the kicker. We get the bill and they charge us $ 10.25 for ONe margarita. I’m sorry… what?! A regular margarita is 5.95 $. We are charged $ 5 extra for Milagro silver? He charged it as patron. It’s not patron. Either way. That is a ridiculous amount to spend on ONE margarita… I thought I was back in LA. When I asked the guy, he just said«yeah. That’s how much» So, left with a sour taste in my mouth. Blech Might change my review if I ever go back and try the food.

Terrific Mexican food! Pollo Fundango was excellent, every bite was a fiesta in my mouth! Enchalida Verdes tasted very fresh and delicious! The service was friendly and attentive. Nothing like Nolapalermo The guacamole was prepared from scratch at the table We are local and will be back! The décor is adorably Mexican.

I really had high hopes for this restaurant. One star for the great server. The food was lacking on all accounts and I ordered arroz con pollo. A simple dish. The rice was even bad. Pollo fundido lacked as well. They are very stingy with queso and need to up their game on fixing any dish. I hope they can improve as I would love another option than la nopalera.

I had the beef chimichanga. It was extremely good, although the beef alone could definitely use some flavor. Dad had the fajitas salsas. They were excellent. There were at least half a dozen large shrimp, and the portion was very large. Brother had the burros Mexicanos. He devoured them before we could even get halfway through what we had. Again, the portion was huge. The only complaint is that the tortillas for the fajitas were very small. The refried beans and the rice are very good together.

A huge swing and a miss. The salsa taste like marinara sauce as it has some kind of italian season i think basil. The chips are not light and crispy and they charge $ 3.75 for literally 3 tablespoons of queso chesse dip. I ordered a chimicanga. It was awful and they did not put the correct beef for the filling. Truly this place stinks. They need serious help with the salsa.

Been here twice and love it. A bit pricey, but worth it. The ingredients are of good quality, specially the salsa. It’s full of flavor and you can taste the freshness as well. Dishes have great portions overall. It died he choripollo my first time and loved it. The second time I tried tacos al pastor, if you looking for a hearty a meal, look for another dish. The tacos were too small, so they’re more of a snack if you want to go light. It’s a good alternative from when you get tired of eating at La Nopalera too much. It fills up, but not at the capacity of La Nopa, so you get some less noise pollution.

Really tasty food and a great vibe at the end of a very unassuming strip mall. Every restaurant is going to have an off night, so ignore the negative Unilocal reviews and go have a cold beer and the Tacos al Pastor at this place.

Nice new lunch option. Large portions for the prices and I really liked the salsa! We were given extra chips free with lunch, there were 5 of us and I think we ate 3 baskets. Service was fine at the lunch hour but they weren’t very crowded. We were in and out in an hour. They are now hiring more staff so hopefully they have seen their reviews and are reacting to the issues. We had a variety of burritos, the chimichangas and the carne asada. Everyone scraped their plates clean!

I read the reviews and decided to try it anyway with the understanding that the food would probably be good but the service wouldn’t be. We were pleasantly surprised. While we did have to wait a little too long for anyone to acknowledge us when we came in, our waiter was great. The food was delicious and not including tip, dinner was cheaper for two than what we usually spend at Chipotle. My friend, who I dined with, is recently a vegetarian. When she couldn’t find exactly what she wanted, they made it special for her. She said it was really good. Let me also say that the décor was fabulous and if they ever sell the lighting, I’m buying it! They are mesmerizing.

Well darn! All these negative reviews I see! I enjoy having them in OP! I have had several items and never had a problem, Love the .99 Tuesdays especially. My Bowls of salsa are full to the top every time and we had so many servers last night didn’t know who was who! They may have had a slow beginning but don’t count them out yet. If no one else is there look for me I’ll be the one with one of those tasty Margaritas in her hand! Viva La Salsas!

We heard great things from friends about this place, and went in on Friday with a group of 10 people. We called ahead to let them know we were coming and all arrived prior to the big rush they would experience around 7. We were waited on by a very sweet girl who was trying her best, but was very clearly overwhelmed. To start, I will say the food was well seasoned and good size portions. That was the only positive part of the experience. Our drinks showed up sporadically with large amounts of time between refills, mixed drinks coming well before draft beers, and the chips were served with a half full dish of salsa. Chips and salsa are free at first, but there is a charge, amount unclear, for anything past your first serving. At one point, prior to even order because it was taking so long, the male manager came out to answer where our drinks were, and was very rude and unhelpful in explaining their happy hour pricing for(weak) house margaritas. We finally placed our orders, and after almost 45 mins of waiting received cold, concealed plates of food that had clearly been sitting for some time. While we waited we noticed everyone else in the restaurant was looking for their food as well. We were waiting for the arrival of food for the last 2 people in our party, and some missing tortillas, so another woman in our party spoke to the same manager who, after rudely blaming our waitress for all the failings, assured he would go get her(hot) food. 15 mins later a cold plate of food came out to her, and the final woman received a hot place of food(which tasted good). We were all very frustrated, and wanted to leave so we waited and waited to receive the bill. I finally went to go find a manager and was pointed to a female manager who was receptive to feedback, professional, and offered us a discount on our meal due to the hassle. She mentioned her kitchen was crashing and overwhelmed. I appreciated the honesty, but would expect more from an established chain on a Friday night. Our overwhelmed waitress re rung all our orders and brought the bills, however, happy hour had ended so we ended up being charged full price($ 6) for our margaritas that were 2/$ 6 during happy hour and therefore ended up paying $ 2 more even with the discount. At this point we were all so frustrated that we just paid and left. The managers never came to our table to apologize to the group despite being approached by 3 different people throughout the evening. The only positives of the evening was that you could tell the food was decent even though it was cold, the discount was appreciated but poorly executed, and the waitress tried her very best. They should not have placed a new waitress with such a large party. I will be hard pressed to try this place again in the future, and definitely not on a Friday night.

My sister and I went to lunch here not to long ago, we were pleased by the atmosphere, service especially. The food that I got(a burrito) was not the way prefer, but it was not bad, just different strokes for different folks-sort of thing. I ate all of the burrito. I also liked the complementary salsa(yes it is ½ full but it is also free). I would totally revisit Salsa’s.

When we walked in we were greeted by bright, festive colors and a sweet group of servers. The man who seated us was also our waiter and he was great and very attentive. The chips were fresh and tasty, as was the salsa. My husband dislikes cilantro, but the cilantro heavy salsa was so good that even he enjoyed it. The only downside was there wasn’t free refills on salsa and chips, but the waiter said even though it says that in the menu, they don’t charge for it!
I ordered the shrimp chimichanga and the husband ordered the super lunch. My chimichanga was delicious with big peppers and lots of big shrimp. It had a generous side of guacamole, but it was so good I wanted more. The rice and beans were the best I’ve had in Jacksonville. My husband’s meal was also great, lots of variety and flavor. The server was very talkative and informative! Great service + AMAZING food = we will be back and we’re bringing friends!

Atmosphere was great. Booth seating surrounding a full bar with partitions separating each booth and some between booths and bar to keep noise so you can talk. Service a little slow, but acceptable. Yes, you get ½ a bowl of salsa, but more if asked for refill. Better ½ had Tilapia tacos. 3 stars. Did like the sauce, but it was on the side. However came with sliced avocado. Added the fresh salsa to replace sauce. She liked. I was pleasantly surprised to see Chili Riano on the menu, which said made with real poblano chili(I asked just to confirm). They were good. First visit. I will be back.
