I used to love this store but its really gone downhill. They have things in there that have dollar tree price tags on them but they want $ 2.99 for them. The prices have gotten high on everything and when they first opened they sold these purple bags that gave you a discount whenever you bought something but now they won’t honor it. There’s one employee/cashier that’s really rude and nasty. Today when my husband went in I had a small bag with me and as soon as we went through the door I was very nastily told I had to leave my bag behind the counter. She couldn’t have cared less that it had my medical equipment in it. I just had wire leads attached to my spine, and because it’s just the trial phase the wires are literally hanging out of my back and the bag carried the remotes and equipment that run it. This place is ridiculous and I won’t be going back.

Haven Hospice thrift stores have become my go to donation location since my Grandmother spent time in Haven Hospice about a year and a half ago. There is another location only about 15 minutes away from this one(on Blanding near the actual Hospice facility) but I find this one to be more convenient for me. The sign out front will tell you to bring your donations around back(they take donations from 9 am-4 pm Monday-Saturday, though there is a small box where you can leave items after hours). My first experience wasn’t great as it was raining and I had quite a few items. I stood at the back door for a few minutes after ringing the bell(as the signs prompted) before I went to the front. Every time I’ve been in they have a max of 2 people working so you’re best off either leaving your things by the back door or night drop or going in and asking the best place to leave it. They’re currently running a summer sale where everything is 50% office. Of course, this is still a thrift store and you never really know what you’re going to get. Both the locations I have visited have a varied selection, from clothes and purses to dishes and furniture. Today I picked up a book I was already interested in reading for a grand total of $.027. You can’t beat that! If you go in with low expectations, you might just find something you never knew you needed!

A+ Thrift Store I always make a point of stopping at Haven when in town. Don’t expect a nice department store though; there’s no question it is a thrift store. What makes this one stand out is quality of furniture that passes through. In the past year, some of my treasures include a Regency style headboard, a French Provincial dresser, and a vintage Thomasville bedroom suite(vanity w/stool, dresser, and a full size headboard/footboard). All pieces were hardwood with dovetail construction. Refinishing furniture is a hobby of mine and it is best to start with a nice solid foundation. Of course, it feels good knowing proceeds go to a great cause!
