this is the worst service ever! i went to get $ for my clothes last night, they told me to be here an hour before they close. so i was. i get there & they said they stopped doing this at 7pm. wtf?! & she kept my clothes & said if i dont get them tmrrw they will be donated off. im here now, & their computers are«down». yet their checking girls out. not to mention when i went up to thw counter, i was next to this girl & they took care of her. looked at me & walked away. stood there waiting & waved my hand like«helloo??!» & she told me i had to wait till computers are up. we even tested them & called from the parking lot & they would not answer the phones! there are only 2 girls in there shopping too! these snoody girls are too busy gossiping about bullshit then doing their jobs! this place needs to be shut down or hire new employees.

Disappointed. I went in earlier today around 11 which was a good time to go cause it wasn’t busy then. I’m familiar with plato’s closet back up north so I was excited to see they had one available close to my new location. Now about my experience… I had a small bag with name brand clothes, shoes, etc in it and as soon as handed my bag to the lady she acted like I was wasting her time. She said it would be about 30 mins so I decided to walk around see what they were like at this location. Take a good look at the items your interested in. Some I picked up were damaged in the seams but they wanted a good amount for it still. It was a clean store and working for retail myself as I was walking around I found myself picking up items people had dropped. After walking around for awhile I found myself picking up an item and purchasing it. The lady who rung up my purchase was very nice she must of been the manager on duty cause compared to the other two associates she was more friendly. As she was ringing my item up I informed her I had dropped off a bag as well. She came back with the bag and they declined all items in it(saying they were items that were not good sellers in store) so I thought to myself your selling these name’s in the store as we speak. Instead of making a seen and wasting my breath I took my bag and item I purchased and left. If you’re looking to sell clothes etc you have a better chance of saving it for a yard sale one day and actually getting decent money for it. On the other hand if you’re looking for a quick outfit with little cash this will do.

They are VERY rude. The associates kept pushing my stuff to the back taking other orders over mine. And I had brand new Victoria secret stuff and DC shoes and was offered 12 $ for it. I was very unimpressed and will NOT come back here again.

I came in around 1030am and already the customer service wasn’t too welcoming. I was told I’d have to wait 45min for my clothes, so I browsed around the store(which some items you may as well but brand new honestly). Then I left and headed to Burlington Coat Factory to burn more time and was there for about 40min. The girls in the front really were only interested in talking to each other and what clothes they wanted from people’s bags(SUPERFREAKINGTACKY). So I’m guessing that’s why it takes 45min-1hr to go through our stuff. If I could give ½ a star I would, but the store was organized and it didn’t smell too horrible. Even after my 45min mark, the girl STILL hadn’t touched my clothes and began looking through them until she saw I was standing in line. And guess what, it only took her 10min TOPS to go through everything. The store just feels really sketchy with the people who work there and I guess they don’t value customer service. I really hope the Avenue’s location isn’t like this, because that’s where I will be going next time.

I avoided this store for months, taking time to drive to the location by The Avenues Mall instead. Today I figured I would give it another chance, maybe it’s better! No. I was so wrong. The attitude starts the moment you walk in, they are obviously annoyed that you are bringing clothes in to sell. Gasp! I want to sell clothes to a consignment shop! Then you get ignored for the 20 minutes it take them to go through everything only to be told they aren’t taking anything. I had two Dooney & Bourke and one Coach purse and they took nothing claiming that the general manger had to be there to authenticate. How do you run a consignment shop with no one on staff to authenticate designer items? Then she continued by telling me that my other stuff was too worn and that they don’t accept size 18 jeans. Ouch. But wait, isn’t there little size indicators for size 16⁄18? I’m confused. Of course the too worn bit made me want to laugh since I was just giving the stink eye to replica Michael Kors bag that was peeling horribly. Bravo, OP Plato’s! You’re doing it right…

All the workers do is talk to each other rather than focusing on customer service. It’s real rude when all you’re doing is smiling to the workers and they just have this stank look on there faces. It made me not want to buy anything.

Hmmm… not impressed. I went to sell some clothes and make some decent pocket money; even though this aspect is one of their biggest selling points, the sales associates honestly acted as though I was wasting their time… before I gave them my clothes. It took them forever and a day to get through the clothes provided by the 2 customers ahead of me… and I’m certain I had much more. It took them about 30 – 45 minutes, only to take 3 of my items and offer $ 5, claiming everything I had was too«dressy». I can understand that aspect; one walk around the store and I could see that it was a very casual-esque store… but to only give me $ 5 for 3 items when you’re going to make at least $ 25? 1 stars for that. smh Other than that, everything is organized, the store is clean, and even though 9 out of every 10 items I saw weren’t particularly my style, I couldn’t help but notice that they were decently priced(compared to if they were new, I guess). This earns them an extra star but I don’t think I’ll find myself darkening their doorstep again… unless it was one of those occasions where I stayed overnight somewhere and had nothing to change into with very little cash on hand(who hasn’t done that before? Lol) If you’re looking for a place to sell your clothes, please have a couple of other options to choose from; if you’re looking for some grab and go clothing, Plato’s will suffice.

I could be biased b/c I went to sell my clothes here, and they didn’t want any of it(i.e. offered me 0 $ for it). They were clean, almost new looking clothes, but they said it was«too mature» for them. I brought some shirts from Delias, A&F, American Eagle, GAP, Tommy Hilfiger, Ann Taylor, etc. but I think they saw the two Ann Taylor polo shirts and freaked out. The girl kept telling me they wanted«teenager, in style clothes» such as ripped up jeans and AE and A&F, and big necklaces. She kept mentioning AE so many times, that it made me feel sick.(AE sells cheap clothing, so why would you come here to buy AE clothing for more than what they sell it at the store for?) Also the big necklaces that the girl mentioned and ripped jeans are from different style groups in my opinion. Big necklaces is a style that the«mature» stores like J Crew and Anthropologie invented. isn’t it? Either way, for the sellers, unless you like and have«teenager styles», this store most likely has nothing to offer you. And if you want to buy clothes from here… think again. I was in there for 40 minutes or more waiting for my quote, and some of the things they have there looked so raggedy and dirty… I wondered if they even washed the clothes there. And after looking at some of their horrid styles, I wondered why they wouldn’t accept even the most out-dated item of clothing of mine~ Plus, it might look cheap at first glance, but you will definitely not be getting what you paid for. I’d muchhhhh rather donate my nice clothes than be given at most 5 $ for a pair of jeans that they’ll later sell for 21 $. What a horrible place.
