Lelo’s Fish & Subs

Fish N chips with a nice light crispy coating– yum! And great slaw with a vinegar base. The staff and owners were even better than the food. This is a very good lunch stop just off I-​4.

My family and I have frequent the BBQ but never the sandwich side. And let me say it’s equally as great as the other side maybe better if it’s possible to say that. Service, prices, food, cleanliness is all awesome! The price may seem a little more but when you get your food prepare to get a box because its very hard to eat all the food they give you. They give you alot of food! Definitely would go again and recommend to others.

Rarely have I been this impressed with a business. The store is super clean, the staff is friendly, attractive (as in good looking), efficient and the food is fantastic!
My Unilocal app brought me here after a scan of the best area restaurants. To our surprise there was a larger restaurant next door owned by the same people with a more cafeteria style feel and menu that appealed greatly to my gluten-​free vegetarian wife’s appetite. So while she ordered her meal there, the boys and I came here. It was great that they allow us to dine together on either side, but we chose to eat in the Lelo’s BBQ dining area because it was larger and more brightly lit.
THE FOOD
TRIPLETA (4.5 stars) | $ 7.99
I was so pleased to finally try this sandwich. I’d seen it highlighted on Man vs Food as popular street eats in Puerto Rico, but when visiting San Juan on a cruise a few years ago, I could not find a street vendor that sold them anywhere. So I was bursting with excitement to see it on the menu here.
SHRIMP SANDWICH (4 stars) | $ 6.99
Delicious. The only complaint is we only wish there were more shrimp.
LELO’S DELUXE PLATTER (4.5 stars) | $ 12.99
The fried shrimp were great and the fried fish was flaky and flavorful. The tarter sauce was also delicious and we really loved the french fries!
FINAL THOUGHTS
Worthy of their reputation! The best part for me was that nearly everyone I met here today (both employees and customers) were Puerto Rican. Always a great sign when a restaurant is fully embraced by the culture they claim to represent!

Over priced and under cooked fish. These guys are Puerto Rica s trying to imitate good Cuban food and they fail miserably.

One of two places that I’m actually willing to spend money at in the Orange City area — the other being their BBQ side. Never a bad experience, but I went yesterday for their fried whole red snapper, which was even better than usual. Fresh fresh fresh! Can’t beat the prices. Now, they just need a liquor license!

we had a great meal there. fish and chips special was excellent (not greasey, very fresh and hot). if we lived in the area we would be there once a week. a lot of people must, because within 30 minutes of opening, they were very busy.

Just like their store next door this place is great and seafood is fresh!!!
Small but they are expanding, their sandwiches are ok but where they shine is their seafood… I have had everything in their menu but my favorite is the conch mofongo in red sauce, fried fish and shrimps, trifongo is to die for! And their homemade light coleslaw is very good!
Please go you won’t be let down!

Friendly staff, cool, clean spot, excellent food, very well priced. Can’t ask for much more. I had a Cuban which was as good or better than many I’ve had in Orlando, and my wife had a fried fish sandwich which she also loved. Definitely worth checking out.

Excellent place for lunch. Great sandwiches, especially the Cuban or Turkey. The place is very clean and the employees are very friendly. They serve entrees like fish & chips, shrimp, salmon, red snapper, etc. They also have salads and serve Coca Cola products.
