Just like others have been saying, you get what you pay for. In any other location, this place would probably qualify as a flop house, but since it sits directly on the beach, it is better described as a sleazy beach motel, like something out of the 1950s. Teeny tiny rooms and teeny tiny bathrooms. The entire building is run down, and it shows. There is no hot water for a shower, but who cares, I guess. Jump in the pool or swim on the beach, then come back to your room and take a cold shower. What fun! Sand is everywhere, not just on the beach. Sand in the hallways, sand in the rooms, sand in your bed, so what, I guess, this is the beach! You came here for sand and fun, who cares. You want hot water in your room? Sorry sir/madame, all our rooms are cold water flats only. If you want hot water, go check into the Hampton Inn down the street. Hold your nose when in the elevators. They stink, like really stink! Breakfast is ok, plenty of carbs to start your day, and it is free. Seems like cheap beach hotels are favored by the drunks. Lots of beer drinking going on. Beer, beach, and sand, wow, more fun! Sometimes the drunks get loud and rowdy. Yup, you get what you pay for, and compared to other motels in this area, this place is cheap. Just don’t expect a nice place, because you will be greatly disappointed. But hey, if you like to drink a bunch, like the beach and sand and water, then maybe this is the place for you? There is no security. All doors are open and unlocked 24/7, so anyone can wander in and out of this place any time of the day or night. I strongly suggest you keep your valuables out of sight and locked up, same for your car.

You get what you pay for. EXTREMELY small bathroom, beds, and balcony. The breakfast was good and had hot waffles and sausage, but it was definitely economy. The carpets are from 1970, but at least the mattresses are comfy. Good a/c in the rooms but not anywhere else. Anyone could come and go as they please since no outside doors locked. Anyone could come in or use the hotel pool/beach access. My wife didn’t feel very safe. One night– only COLD showers were available and the front desk just said«we worked on it, guess the boilers are still off». Not very friendly workers, but what do you expect from the cheapest/crappiest hotel in Orange beach? Great price though, and it did have great beach access. Didn’t even need sandals to walk out there.

This location would be a «you get what you pay for» situation if it was less expensive. Relatively speaking, it is less than most beach motels, but not cheap. Desk help was great, but rooms are very small and in desperate need of renovation.

Like my husband said, it’s SLEEP inn. Not AMENITIESRESORT. It was ok. The only 2 things I would say I really thought was worth the money were the free breakfast from 6:30am-9:30am and that it is ON the beach, very very close to shore line. Other than that, you get what you pay for. The rooms are so small. Don’t expect to have a blow up bed or pack n play for extra guests, there is NO room! The bathroom is VERY small, yet the shower is big. We had 2 rooms, and both doors to bathrooms were off track and locks didn’t work. The beds are tiny, or regular sized if you happen to be a Hobbit. I am average sized 5’7 female and had to sleep diagonal so my feet wouldn’t hang off the end. Don’t even get my 6’5 husband started on that… other than the SIZE of the beds, they were extremely comfortable mattresses. The pool is tiny, but enough beach chairs and tanning areas for all. The pool TOWELS are tiny as well, so pack your own!!! It is an older hotel, so be prepared for a funky odor. I had to request housekeeping after checking in because our bathroom smelled like old urine. They came immediately and apologized profusely and it smelled great when they were done, so don’t hesitate to ask them for anything, they are really nice. But, because of the low low price compared to other hotels on beaches, you really can’t complain about much. * * *

Update: I brought the spot on the comforter to the attention of the front desk staff. This woman was pleasant and helpful and offered to have all of our bedding changed. She assured me this was not a common occur acne and dropped my rate by $ 40. I appreciated their handling of this situation but since this visit others have filled me in on their Sleep Inn experiences and I still feel we won’t return.

Great but to me it could be a little better i think the best part is the front desk and staff. Breakfast was good beach was the best part probably 40 yards away draw backs is the rooms look crapy and we had a year 1816 tv in there come on man!!!

Not a good place to stay. Rooms are tiny with small beds. The bathroom door would barely close. Ants infested our room while we were there. Had to move to another room our last night there. Kinda pricey for the amenities. We will not ever stay there again.

We looked at several local places within our budget and found that Sleep Inn on the beach offered the best price and location right on the beach. The staff has been VERY helpful and friendly and the facility is clean. Upon arriving we were greeted by the staff and after getting settled in the room, we received a courtesy call from the front desk to make sure we found everything in order for our room. I have been very pleased with the service here and over all, I would recommend this location to travelers on a budget.
