Rotolo’s Pizzeria

We had stopped at a few places for dinner while visiting the beach and wanted something with a wait time with les than 30 minutes. Most of the restaurants in town had a wait time of an hour or longer. So when we walked into Rotolo’s and heard «no wait» we were happy. So we go to the table, and we review the drink menu. On the menu it says, «ask server for craft beer menu?» So when our server comes around I asked for one. Her reply was, «they don’t have them.» So she starts rambling off all the domestic beers that are on the menu that I had already seen. Not too concerned with that so let’s fast forward an hour when our food arrived. So my wife and I ordered chicken Caesar wraps. They looked delicious on the menu, but when they arrived it had been baked. Let’s just say, «it tasted weird!» So my wife didn’t eat it at all. I got it down because I was hungry! The kids ordered chicken tenders. The tenders were soggy and tasted like microwaved goop! So bad! My kids did not eat them. So after not enjoying her wrap, my wife, orders some wings. She figures who can screw up some wings. Boy Rotolo’s can screw up some wings! These things were soggy and they had no sauce on them. If you can’t tell I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!!! If you go to orange beach and decide you want pizza make the drive to gulf shores and eat at mellow mushroom!!’

Excellent food and service. Had the bruschetta for starters-​it was OMG delicious! Had Greek salad and the muffuletta pizza! All of it was excellent! Good southern sweet tea as well!

Below mediocre. My kids enjoyed their pizzas, but my chicken Caesar wrap was awful. They actually cooked the lettuce. Hubby got a semi-​decent calzone. They comped my wrap, so I’ll give them props for that.

Well, well, well … for the second time in a row our planned vacation dinner ended up in pizza. After a LONG day of travel, beach time fun, and hot sun with the kiddos I just couldn’t muster up the energy to cook in the condo. So, pizza it was! Per a recommendation from one of the locals, I ordered 2lg Supremes, 1lg cheese, and 1lg pepperoni! They were all delicious! So much so — that three nights later we returned late night as dine-​in guests. I ordered an 8″ Krewe (which had bacon, sausage, pepperoni, feta, mozz etc), my daughters had the spaghetti and GIANT meatballs, and my husband had some kind of pasta with shrimp. We ordered the bruschetta and garlic bites for appetizers.
Here’s the bad news! The garlic bites looked delicious but were hard as rocks. We asked if they normally came like that and she said, «They must have left them in the oven too long». She returned with a «fresh» batch which were super hot but hard too. My husband also had a few of them on the side of his pasta dish and (I kid you not) could have broken the window if he would have thrown one of these. Totally inedible. Also, we NEVER received our bruschetta but didn’t really complain because we were so full from all the pasta and pizza.
Overall, service could have been better and the food (minus the garlic bites) were delicious. If we ever venture back to Orange Beach we will definitely visit again!

A sports bar with an Italian twist. The garlic bites were ok, kinda bland but the marinara sauce was fantastic. It wasn’t to tomatoey but had a sweet finish. We also got the Italian Club pizza! It was very good and flavorful! We visited twice while on vacation. The second trip we got calzones and were kinda disappointed. The pizza is where it’s at. Also I heard the spaghetti and meatballs were amazing as well!

Took a night off from eating seafood while in Orange Beach. And what a delight this place was. The 5lb pizza was delicious and a monster to say the least. Everything in the kitchen sink was on this thing. Would eat here again for sure

Great atmosphere on the deck. Quick attentive service and pizza was very tasty. Only issues I had was a dirty plate other than that great experience and great location close to the beach.

We came here on a Thursday night around an hour before close and it was crazy busy! Luckily we were seated quickly and got our drinks right away! The waitress took a while to get to us, but we were able to or our order in quickly and get our appetizer — the cheesy bread. It was amazing, delicious, crisp, hot and gooey, we loved it! Our pizzas took a little longer to reach us BUT they were so worth the wait! After spending the day at the beach and driving down 14 hours we had decided to take it to go and the waitress was super helpful about it by helping us clear our table and boxing it up. Great first night in Alabama for us, and I’m super excited for the pizza leftovers in the fridge right now from writing this!

Ordered to go 1 (8″) pepperoni w/​xtra cheese & 1 (8″) spinach w/​mushroom. Spinach pizza tastes good but quantity of sauce overpowered the toppings which was skimpy on the spinach & mushrooms. Quick service, friendly staff, Atmosphere nice.

One of the best pizzas I have ever had… good beer selection and has a full bar! I had an amazing pizza with soft dough on the inside and a crispy crust it was amazing!

Damn good pizza you won’t be disappointed. Got the pizza with bacon pep cheddar feta and a side of pizza sauce. The sauce is great. Friendly bar staff.

Might go as far as saying that this is the best pizza that I’ve ever had. Cannot comment too much on service/​atmosphere because we ordered online for pick up. They had live music and outside seating. Would definitely recommend… got a medium pizza with five toppings for around $ 20. Will be coming back

OMG!!! This place is amazing! The BBQ chicken pizza is to die for. During the NCAA games they have a $ 20 special, 16″ pizza of your choice and a pitcher of beer. Great price for the amount of beer and food you get. This is my families go to pizza joint when we are down here.

Wow… This pizza was fantastic! Huge and full of flavor. Five pound pizza and well worth the price. One pizza fed our family of 4 and we had leftovers and that never happens at our house. So if you want a pizza full of flavor and have an HUGE appetite then this is a must!!!

Worst location of this chain I’ve ever been to. Louisiana native, and the service here was absolutely piss poor. The waitress checked on us a total of 2 times and there to go boxes aren’t even big enough to hold 2 slices of their pizzas. To top it all off, the waitress gave us one pen for 12 people to sign their receipts with. Will not be returning again.

Loved it. Great pizza (especially gluten free). Loved the Popeye. Quick service. Will go back.

Good pizza, good service. Comfortable place to eat. Clean tables, floors and restrooms. We will return.

Service was a little slow but the restaurant was busy on a Saturday night (5:30p), but the waitress was very attentive and nice. Food was high quality for sure. Menu items and food quality are very similar to Mellowmushroom. We will be back.
