Two frozen yogurts with just a few squirts in one cup and another cup with about 5 small squirts. $ 11.50. I think their scale needs a calibration. That was my last time to Chill in Opelika. Their floor is always dirty looking, too. It’s not an inviting place to hang with your family for an ice cream.

I favor this location in Opelika as opposed to the one on the Auburn University campus due to the larger selection of flavors. It’s a nice stop after some light shopping or a meal. Personally I was a fan of Yogurt Mountain, but this place seems to match a lot of my favorite flavors. I recommend the orange sorbet, or mix the cheesecake and strawberry.

Despite having 2 locations in Auburn-Opelika, both cafes do not carry the same flavors! There are a couple staple items that allow a casual visitor to make a safe pick, but the wide variety in each location makes each trip worthwhile. My go-to flavors are candy palooza and salted caramel pretzel. The texture was more runny than I would hope but the Heath bar toppings sized this yogurt cup up to make it a tasty treat. The variety of toppings are also incredible. Malt balls were my favorite. They got some power outlets in the wall for your laptop incase if you decide to stay a little longer and your laptop just happens to be with you.

As I enjoyed a very delicious keylime pie cupcake tonight, it suddenly hit me that I hadn’t given Chill some love. This place DEFINITELY has the best cupcakes in Auburn/Opelika. Hands down, no contest. Gigi’s does not even come close. I know, it is a little odd. This is supposed to be a frozen yogurt café. And it is. They have the standard serve yourself bar with a gizzillion flavors of frozen yogurt. Unfortunately I don’t do icecream and the likes so I don’t have much of an opinion about the yogurt. However, the cupcakes are DELIGHTFUL. They are everything Gigi’s should be and isn’t. Soft, moist, flavor infused and not piled with a mile high of icing. They usually have about 8 – 10 different flavors available and they change it up everyday. I always miss out on the lemon. That has to be my favorite cake so far. They also have two sizes of cupcakes which is a blessing for both your wallet and your waist. The large sized cupcake is also about 25c cheaper than Gigi’s. I enjoy the cupcakes at Chill. Very, very much. Unfortunately, the Chill in Auburn doesnt serve cupcakes so I end up going to Gigi’s more often than I should. As much as I enjoy the cupcakes at Chill, the drive to Opelika can be a little daunting sometime. Especially when I just want something sweet right ater dinner. So Auburn folks, go to the Chill in Opelika and enjoy some amazing cakes.
