The Burrito Guy

The Burrito Guy makes a mean sausage breakfast burrito. They occasionally drop by my work and there would be a line of people waiting for the delicious burritos. They haven’t made back out there in at least year or so. While coming back home from the CWS last night, I decided to give it another try. After all, it was nearly 1 AM and my options were limited. Plus I was starving and didn’t want to fight the crowds at The Matt or Union and then wait another hour for food. Having driven by The Burrito Guy several times in Benson, I knew where to find them (down the street from Burke’s Pub on Maple). I ordered the enchilada while my buddies ordered a walking taco and a burrito. The enchilada was ok but it was fast and fairly cheap at $ 4. It could have been cooked a bit longer and I did find a piece of a plastic wrapper. Based on that find, I’m guessing the enchiladas aren’t home made. They tasted as though they could have been frozen. My friend didn’t find the burrito to be much better so he ordered the walking taco after rave reviews from another friend. Not sure that I’ll ever find my way back to The Burrito Guy but if you’re in Benson and you’re hungry and you don’t want to wait, give it a try.
