Attended an all-day event for work at the Scott Center and it was fine, but underwhelmed me. The meeting rooms were standardly outfitted with those folding upholstered walls. The chairs weren’t the best and offered no lumbar support… basically a folding chair with a thin pad on the seat. The projector and other technology elements seemed updated and all worked fine. Our lunch was catered again very standard fare. I had indicated that I was gluten free before attending the event but there was no acknowledgement of this and they didn’t have a plan for me. Not sure if that was the fault of the venue or the association hosting it. I ended up with dry salad(gluten is often peskily hidden in salad dressings) instead of using the requisite ranch and Italian options. Sadly, my dessert had a black curly short hair on it… needless to say I didn’t end up eating it. Ick. The parking is more than enough to accommodate a busy day, which was a plus. Lot is easy to find. Overall not the most pleasing of experiences, but for a conference room I’m sure you could do worse.

Have meetings here occasional but this is the first time I discovered the Scott Café. Only open for lunch but pretty darn good and inexpensive($ 8 buffet). Entrée’s, sandwiches, pizza, salad bar, desert bar and drinks… for $ 8! No complaints
