Precision Door Service

Our old garage door springs gave out and we needed replacement doors ASAP. The owner came out and spent quite a bit of time making sure we were well informed about our options. What impressed me was that he could have sold us a package that cost more, but explained why another, less expensive package would serve us better. The work, the product, the level of expertise were all top notch. The new doors have a much higher R– value, are silent and enhance the curb appeal of our home. We would recommend this company without hesitation.

We also bought a garage door opener from Lowe’s and paid for the install. This company called the day we got the opener. They set up at time between 10 – 12. We got a call at 11:35 saying they would have to reschedule between 12 – 2. They then told us they could not install on our Air Force Base. Long story short they aren’t willing to take the extra step to get on base to provide services for someone in the military. It’s sad that 15 min to go through security isn’t worth providing a service member their service. When my husband talked to the supervisor she would not let him talk and refused to listen long enough to discuss the situation with her. We would never recommend this company.

I purchased a garage door opener at Lowe’s and paid extra for installation. Lowe’s uses two local companies (Norm’s Door Service & Precision Door) for garage door and garage door opener installations. Precision Garage Door is part of a national chain of franchises.
Within a few hours of my purchase, I was contacted by someone from Precision Door to set up an installation appointment, which would’ve been the next day if my schedule permitted, but it couldn’t. I bought the opener on a Wednesday, and I set installation up for the following Monday. One of their technicians, «Frank,» showed up when expected. He made light and fast work out of taking down my old, noisy GDO and mounting my new, nearly silent GDO. After installing, he adjusted and set up the functions of the opener and took the old equipment with him.
«Frank» was friendly and professional, and showed up in a well-​marked company truck.
The speed of the installation, the fact that he took the old opener with him, and the fact that he used much higher quality mounting brackets than what came with the GDO made the extra cost completely worth it.
