I just visited this store. The owner is why I will return. He was very helpful. I bought spices, sampled a fresh date and bought ingredients for gyros. Indeed a jewel in Omaha!

I was looking around Omaha for some fresh Kalamata olives & the only source I could find before I found this place was WF& they wanted $ 10.00/lb. MEG had about 2lbs. for $ 6.99& the owner Rada who is Lebanese, insisted I try one before I bought them & as it turned out, they are GREAT! This is a great find if you’re into cooking & eating ME food. The store may be a bit small but it’s packed to the brim with everything you might want or need! Not only that but it’s very clean which some other places I shop at aren’t! Also the prices are very reasonable! Great spot that I highly recommend! Wish they would open a Lebanese restaurant on par with one of my fav places in Chicago, The Pita Inn!

As said before, this is a gem in Omaha. I absolutely love this place. Great place with a great selection of Hookah tobacco.

I was in today and found the gentleman who assisted me to be quite helpful. He was able to provide me with ideas on what to buy based on my needs. He even went so far as to suggest that one of the items I was looking for could be purchased at a local grocery store at a lower price than he offered! I am very pleased and will return often. I often choose specialty stores and was so glad I found this one!

An excellent store. I love how they feed you :) When you are not sure of something such as fruit, they will cut and give you a sample. I like the odd looking cactus fruit(a super food) that is has a resonable price. And if you ask, you can get free advice on how to prepare what you are cooking. The store is wonderful, the produce is always fresh, they have a large assortment of teas and spices, and I enjoy shopping in a specialized food store where it’s easy to find hard to find items. I enjoy going there. It has a welcoming atmosphere and I enjoy trying out new and exotic foods. Yes, they accept credit and debit cards. Not sure if the accept checks because I seldom use them.

I mentioned this place in another review, thought I should review it directly. There’s no point in belaboring the issue, though. Just go.

A tiny little grocery packed with treasures. It’s on the corner of 86th& Blondo in what looks like a little house. The owner, Rida(sp?), from Lebanon is one of the friendliest people EVER. Sign up for their enewsletter and you’ll get an email alert to notify you when the fresh(and affordable) herbs and veg arrive. You need tobacco and charcoal for your hookah? Check. You need gyro meat, pita break and tzaziki? Check. You need someone to help you find the ingredients for that recipe you’re tryin’ out? Check. Why go to Penzys Spice for that little tiny container of Ground Sumac when you can get more than three times as much for the same amount at Rida’s place? When you visit, be prepared for a chat. Don’t be surprised when you’re offered a beverage(pomegranate-cherry juice anyone?) or a slice of fruit(ohhhh…so that’s what fresh quince and green almonds taste like). From your very first visit, you’ll be treated like a regular(in my case, a regular who can’t speak Arabic). I have a soft spot for local business, so imagine how much I heart local businesses that introduce me to international food culture. So, go ahead… add this ethnic market to your list of places to visit this month.
