Lanoha Nurseries

We had someone out to draw up landscaping plans and designs for our extremely empty yard. The yard went wild for a couple of years before we purchased the house and we needed some serious work done.
Overall, the designs were great and accommodated the extreme shade and sun conditions we have. The designer was incredibly knowledgable and put together a fantastic design.
But I wasn’t too thrilled about us not being able to have much input. We needed certain things done, like privacy shrubs and trees along the fence line, and the designs did not reflect that. For the money we were going to spend, I expected to have my needs taken a little more into account.

Went to buy a decent sized tree for the first time in my life and didn’t know what to get as I live on a lake and wanted to plant in the sand. Was greeted pleasantly by all and when I stated my business, was told to go talk to Ryan. Very helpful guy and friendly, as they all are there. He took very good care of me and was most professional! Yes, it’s not cheap, we all know that going in. I wanted a quality tree that will last and good advice to make that happen and was willing to invest in it. Great place!

We took my daughter to see Santa here. Santa was amazing, and i couldnt have asked for a better environment. Its a little expensive, but one does get what they pay for. Their plants are always healthy and strong.

Love this place. Brought in a clipping from a flowering pear tree and within 10 minutes they helped me understand what the issue is and plan how to protect the rest of my trees now, and what to do to help my pear trees in the spring. Now I’m going to wander the green houses and buy a few herbs for my kitchen window garden.

Judy has helped me for over 12 years with everything from how to put lights on a Christmas
tree so the cords are almost invisible, to what type of trees to purchase for the homes I
have lived in, to how to try to save my large ash tree. The advice is excellent as always.
The workers who have come out to plant my trees are meticulous and clean up after themselves. The warranty on their trees is fair and they have replaced a maple for me
at no charge that didn’t survive its first winter. I love the beautiful home furnishings though
lots are out of my price range. Their veggie and herb plants always flourish. I am a happy
customer. It’s fun to tour the nursery to take in all of the beauty.

I had superb service at Lanoha, my last visit. Lots of people greeted me or asked if I needed help. Went out of there way to mention that the flowers I was looking at were on sale. I went outside to look for a tree, and there I found awesome help. I was helped by Nicole, I thought she did great. She was helpful, knowledgable and carried the sale thru to the end. She made sure we had information about the care of the plant and then she made sure we got all loaded up. Nicole was professional and I will return because of the service she and others provided.

Helen was great, took the time to listen to what I was looking for in the way of a replacement tree. I would highly recommend to anyone. Good price, guarantee and best of all, I don’t have to grab a shovel.

The selection at Lanoha is decent. When you need help warranty wise not so much. We invested in two bigger trees for our new home two years ago. They delivered and planted. Last Spring we noticed issues with our big tree in the back and immediately called to have somebody come out and check since you get a two year warranty on trees. Weeks and more than multiple phone calls later we make a trip into the store and get a date for somebody to come look. Nothing but hurry up and wait. We call other tree companies to come out. Our tree has sun scald and frost crack (we have properly wrapped) and this was caused at the nursery prior and they told us the tree would grow out of it. So basically my tree was rotting and would eventually die out. After about two months we managed to get our tree in the back and front replaced. I hope these survive or we are out of a lot of money.
I don’t plan on purchasing any more trees from here. I don’t feel they are healthy for the price you pay.

Truly. These people have not a clue what they are talking about. I have given it three visits and each time I finally hunt down someone to ask a question about a plant… they have no clue. Every.Single.Visit.
My most recent visit, April 24^th was the last straw. I was there at 8:30. I walked in and there was one lady who greeted me. I asked her a question about my blueberrry bushes to which she said, «oh, sorry, I’m not sure.» She didn’t even offer to look up the information! She said (and I quote), «you could ask one of the workers by the herbs… but just don’t ask the people watering, they wouldn’t know.» Thank you ma’am, for your utter lack of help.
I then went to select my herbs and then check out. Apparently, the same lady working the counter had never rang up a sale before. She sat there for 5 mins trying to ask another employee that walked by if he knew how to ring up the sale. Finally, after 7 mins (seriously!) she had to call all of the managers (as they were in a meeting) to ask them about ringing up a sale. Then, when she couldn’t find the price of herbs, she literally spent another 5 mins searching through their database. So I asked her if she would like me to go find the exact price to which she responded, «could you?» Seriously. I had a 3 yr old with me. and it took her 15 mins to attempt to ring up my sale. Finally, I was so irate I left the entire $ 75 worth of plants at the door. So long Lanoha. I’d never spend my money at this place.
I drove 30 minutes out of the way to go to Mulhall’s. They were phenomenal and so courteous! They interacted with my son, they looked some stuff up for me regarding my plant question, and every where I turned was a person willing and smiling to help!

Being first time homeowners (and tree purchasers), we had no idea what we were doing or looking for. The staff was great at helping us find the perfect tree for our back yard. After we found it, the installation process was a breeze! It’s all included! We put our flag in the ground where we wanted our tree to go and they took care of the rest — called the diggers line, installed it (aside from the tree, you couldn’t even tell they had been there, and it was muddy out), and mulched it. It didn’t even take them an hour. On top of that, their trees are guaranteed for 2 years.
I can’t say enough good things about them, we’ll be back again!!!

You have to love a place with a huge silver trowel out front. This nursery is a destination in and of itself, whether you are buying plants or not. Huge indoor areas full of gardening and interior decorating materials, even larger outdoor areas full of tropicals and flowering plants, and even more plants, including flowers, trees and shrubs outdoors. Statuary, pavers, fountains, you name it, they have it.
Plus the staff is very knowledgeable and numerous, no matter where you are on the property.
