One of many cool bars in Benson. Stopped in with friends and grabbed a seat out on the patio. Prepare for it to be busy on the weekends, but the place has a cool vibe, and a nice selection of local and other micros. After enjoying a local craft, I opted for a couple Moscow Mules. While it would have been nice to have a couple servers for the back patio, the walk in to the bar isn’t a big deal. Cool place to kick back with some friends and enjoy a couple drinks.

I LOVE this place! Get the bacon Bloody Mary. Just do it. We also had a jalapeño cream ale that was tasty! Loved the atmosphere and the service was speedy and super friendly!

Krug is certainly a 5 star place in my book. I had been a few times over the past caouple of years, but went 2 times in a row during Omaha Beer Week. The first time was due to a friend heping barback and informing me that there was some Goose Island Lolita on tap. A bit pricey, but oh so good. On my second visit, I was after some of the ‘Lips of Faith’ series from New Belgium and my only complaint was due to my timing both times, I had to sit with the tap handles directly in front of me. Not the worst thing, but then again, I could have gotten a better spot had I timed it better. A great selection of diverse beers and the cocktails are great too. I really like the Vegan Bloody Mary. the accoutrements on it are bountiful and fun and the flavor is outstanding. I could easily see myself here a few times a week so I will be careful to limit my visits. Thanks to Dan and Sid. Ya made my nights

This is a cocktail and beer bar in Benson. I went in a Tue night at 10 and it was mostly empty but I am sure it gets busy on weekend nights, like most places in Benson. For those not from the area, Benson is a suburb of Omaha and 5 miles from the downtown /stadium area. 5 stars for an amazing beer and scotch/whisky/bourbon selection. 5 stars for very affordable pricing. I live in Chicago and could never get a Glenfiddich 15 for less than $ 10-$ 12. They have it for $ 8-$ 9. They also had Pappy 10 but sadly run out of the 12, 15,20,23. 5 stars for them carrying it. Only downside — the Bartender could have even a little more friendly!

Krug Park has consistently been one of my favorite spots to grab a drink in Omaha. They’ve got arguably the best beer list(taps + bottles) in town, and do a great job of balancing new/unique/trendy taps with popular standbys. For a beer bar, they also have an excellent cocktail program, and any of their Bloody Marys are always a great choice(especially now that they’re open earlier on Sundays, and serve pastries!). Bartenders always provide great service and really know their stuff!

Was here over the weekend and found the cocktails to be disappointing– just not made that well. The old fashioned was some kind of fizzy soda-ey concoction. The Martinez was the best but still wasn’t my fave. They just do beer here better than cocktails, they are a famous beer bar after all.

Amazing beer selection. From what I recall they have 62 on tap. I’ve really enjoyed both my visits. The seems fairly limited for the space and it’s been super loud both times I was in, despite it not being all that busy. They also have a specialty Bloody Mary list which seems pretty enticing but the dill Bloody Mary left me underwhelmed. Plus with that many beers to sample, how can’t you order a beer?

Best Bloody Mary ever! I had an original one and the Cilantro Bloody Mary. Both superb. Atmosphere is hip and cozy. Warm vibes and dark lighting makes for a chill atmosphere. I heard about this place when I moved to Omaha and finally made it there. I can’t wait to go back!

So I was visiting my girlfriend in Omaha this past Labor Day weekend and she knew how much I love craft beer and was very excited for me to try this place out. We arrived during a Sunday afternoon and there were plenty of tables open. After about an hour, the place had significantly filled up and the beer was flowing. The bar was very large with about 25 – 35 taps I would say. They have a big blackboard where they list the beers on tap for the customers which seems normal now in beer bars. The beers I had were very good and definitely a better price fix then I’m use to paying. My only issue with this bar was that it only had one bartender working. Whether I was waiting for my next beer, or I was waiting to close out my tab, it took each trip about 10 – 15 minutes and that to me is kinda crazy. I mean we aren’t making cocktails, it’s just a beer. This is definitely a craft beer bar to visit if you’re ever in Omaha. Hopefully they get a few more bartenders and boost this place to a five star attraction.

We have heard a lot about Benson and the number of great restaurants and bars so we focused here this weekend. This is a great pub. The sheer volume of whiskeys, scotch, rye and others is amazing. Great beers in proper glasses. A German line and a Belgian line of beers on tap plus a stunning array of others. Great vibe, hospitable service. Will definitely come back for the Bloody Mary’s. Benson hype is for real.

Oooohhhh the selection! I had to take my sweet time looking at the menu. Some friends ordered cocktails and said they were amazing, but I ordered a beer and was not disappointed. They’ve got every kind of beer you could dream of! Come before it gets busy if you want a seat, otherwise you’ll be standing.

Decent menu and atmosphere but the drinks are costly and the bartender has never been particularly pleasant.

62 beers on tap and a full page of the menu dedicated to Bloody Mary’s!!! Believe it. If you love beer and appreciate a wide variety of selections, then Krug Park is your place! The menu can be a bit overwhelming due to the extensive selections but once you get past that, there are beers to fit every palate! As far as Bloody Marys go, I’ve literally never seen a selection this extensive. I didn’t get a chance to try one but someone in my party just got the regular and was very happy with their selection. I’m not from Omaha, but if/when I come back, Krug Park will be a definite stop on my itinerary!

As one of the top beer bars in the nation, this place lived up to the reputation. It housed the largest selection of Belgian beers I have seen on tap, but didn’t stop there. Perfectly selected glassware and a beer-savvy staff was the cherry on top. This bar is reason enough to keep coming back to Omaha.

My good old pal Landon took us to Krug Park, since he knew I was a fan of beers! Krug Park is a really legit fancy pants bar with over 200 beers in the bottle and over 60 beers on tap! We talking good stuff from around the world to regional delights! I was stoked to see they had Knoxville, IA’s Peacetree Hopwrangler on tap. They also have a very extensive Bloody Mary Menu that looks pretty sweet! The bartenders were awesome, the bathrooms were clean, and I want to stay forever but I had to go sound check down the street. But have no fear this is a park I would come back to play in anytime!

I like a good bloody mary– but that was not on the radar for my first visit to Krug Park. I came to catch up with a old friend on a Tuesday night after work around 6pm. If there were any happy hour specials they weren’t advertised at the table, on the menu, or on the chalkboard. The staff didn’t mention any so I assumed at 6pm all is done in the happy hour world. We ordered a round of beers– I was pretty unoriginal with my pyramid apricot ale out of seattle that I absolutely adore, and my friend got a super smooth dark lager that was something with the word nitro in it? It was smoother than Guinness and something I would definitely order next time. With 62 beers on tap and a whole lot more in the bottles and cans, it would be hard to choose when faced with the«which beer do I pick» questions. Not to mention a craft cocktail and bloody mary menu and all the wines and hards… This is a true craft beer bar heaven. Clean look, modernish décor and layout, and pretty stand-off bartenders(you have to approach the bar or initiate talking to someone to get service). Don’t come hungry-food is off the menu, although rumor has it you can order from many of the surrounding restaurants or bring your own food in. There are so many great beers but I need food in order to casually enjoy more than a few rounds without hitting the floor so next time I will come prepared.

I can’t believe I have yet to write a review for Krug Park! Seriously. This is my favorite place to grab a drink in Omaha. Nestled into Benson, it’s a cozy, comfy place to grab drinks any night of the week. Krug has a fantastic selection of beer and cocktails. I’m actually going to credit Krug with my deeper appreciation for beer — they helped me start experimenting beyond my college days of Bud Light. And if beer isn’t your thing, they’ve got fantastic cocktails. They have the standard options, but also a little menu full of delicious drinks. They have a minimal selection of food(pretty sure it’s just chips and salsa — but you the salsa is fantastic and served in glass jars you can bring home with you). Plus side is that they allow food to be brought in. A couple of nearby places actually deliver food to you — pizza and tater tots are a standard go to here. Just tell them you’re at Krug, and you’ve got food delivered to your table in under 15 minutes. There’s a very small patio in the back… I’ve only been lucky enough to snag a table there once and it was probably because it was 1am. If you can get your friends there early, you can take up the entire deck. The décor is also great — dark wood, large mirror, bottles lining up the shelves… it reminds me of something out of the 1920s. Old photos hang up along the back walls of what Krug Park used to be… an amusement park, if I remember correctly? A large chalkboard hangs up near the bar, detailing out what’s on tap. Booths line up one side of the bar, or you can grab a seat at the bar or near the front window. The only downside to Krug is that it can get pretty full on a weekend night, and no one likes to awkwardly stand around. More seating would be nice, but then that takes away the ambiance of the bar. Finally, the bartenders are all pretty great. They know their drinks and can easily recommend something new, if you’re open to trying new things. Check it out!

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Krug. And I’m wondering why the heck it’s taken me so long to get back. Maybe it had something to do with that extra-frigid winter, making me less likely to get out of the house. Or that fact that when I did, Krug seemed extra packed on the weekends since hanging out on the back patio was temporarily out of the equation due to sub-zero temps. Well, I made it back yesterday and it’s still one of the best bars in town. Of course, their beer selection is as good as it gets. Even so, this time around I sampled one of their craft cocktails — the San Fran Stormy. Comprised of Fernet-Branca, triple sec, lime juice, ginger beer and Angostura Bitters, it was refreshing and springy — reminding me that warm weather is seriously right around the corner. I followed up the Stormy with my recent go to brew, a Duchesse De Bourgogne. Next time you’re here, give the IPAs a rest and try one of these slightly sour little beauties.
