Today my mouth experienced heaven. I was craving a good ol’ greasy breakfast and I got just that. I got the jimmy breakfast meal thing I believe which included eggs bacon hash browns and biscuits and gravy. The eggs were cooked utterly perfect, the bacon was super thick and perfectly cooked and the hash browns were the perfect amount of crisp and were so buttery and fluffy. The gravy was thick and delicious and biscuits fluffy and yummy. My stomach is so full and happy and I will for sure put this place on my short list of places to get food. The food was just cooked so perfectly and so yummy. what a real breakfast(or lunch in my case) should be :)

Who’s Jimmy and what does he have to do with my eggs??? Anywho, this place was good. My first time trying it out today. I had the Popeye’s revenge Omelette, which includes spinach, bacon, mushrooms and Monterey jack. For my sides home fries, sausage gravy with biscuits. The Omelette & potatoes were fulfilling. I would have liked a tad bit more seasoning to my Popeye’s revenge though. The sausage gravy was good, but average no extra jimmy style to it like I expected. My boyfriend had the Big Jim which is a five egg Omelette(regular ones are three) and ten ingredients! He also had buttermilk pancakes that he didn’t seem that excited about but loved the omelette. All in all I’m sure I’ll return because for the price it was decent. $ 20 bucks for two not bad. Just a decent breakfast/lunch joint.

Typical breakfast food. Produce is generally quite fresh. Not much else to say. Good service and a decent breakfast experience.

This breakfast ruined my favorite meal of the day. It started poorly when it took too long to be seated, despite open tables and no line. Worse than that the food was inedible. I ordered the vegetable omelet which was paper thin, overcooked, and left a terrible taste in my mouth. The server never asked us about our good or if it was ok. Perhaps she already knew the answer. The coffee was also below grade. I usually have several cups but stopped at ½ cup here. For $ 30 I expected more. I will avoid this place in the future.

Just not that good. Food is processed tasting to me, and service is poor. Atmosphere is plain and simple. You’ll get calories, but they aren’t wonderful calories, nor is the staff oriented towards customer services, in my opinion.

Wow. Huge portions. Great tasting and cheaper than a Village Inn. I got the pork chop breakfast and it was delicious.

First time here but certainly not the last… Loved the food I got… I ordered the chicken fried steak 2 eggs over medium country potatoes and biscuits and gravy… all for only $ 9.99…oh and a cup of coffee… the food was excellent with the CFS being some of the best I’d ever had… whatever breading they use was what made it great… the eggs were cooked right as were the potatoes… the service was very quick, didn’t have to wait for my food or a refill on coffee… Jimmy’s Egg quickly made the top 3 list for me of fave breakfast joints… I will absolutely come back here

Jimmy’s Egg is a solid place to get some breakfast or lunch. It’s pretty similar to a lot of American style diners but with a focus on breakfast food. Much of the menu consists of various combinations of eggs, toast, pancakes, etc. This focus on breakfast food means it’s only open for lunch and breakfast(closing is at 2pm). I came here at around 1pm for some lunch and got the garbage omelet with home fries and toast. The waitress was super friendly in a way that I haven’t sen since I went to firehouse subs recently(see my firehouse subs review for more details). The amount of food that I got for that order was much more than I expected. I saw that the omelet was made of three eggs but overall it was stuffed with so many vegetables that it looked closer to five or six. Everything was pretty good and wasn’t greasy, which made me feel a lot better about nearly downing the entire plate. The rest of my party was also happy with their variations of eggs and pancakes. I would come here again for lunch. PS it’s really, really cheap!

Presentation of this place may be a little more outdated but don’t let that fool you. Breakfast/brunch here is a good pick in Omaha. Great service and great prices. 3.8 in my scale but the service/price bumps to a 4 for Omaha. Walked in on a Thursday afternoon with 3 of my colleagues, no wait and the place was not really busy. Ambiance is like a ihop so I guess just american breakfast food chain. You seat yourself(how does that work when the place is crowded?) and the menus are at the table already. I had the griddle combo– one egg(subbed with 2 egg whites, for addtl price), turkey sausage and Belgian waffle. When the food came, I was honestly not impressed with the presentation. But diving into the waffle, hey that’s not bad! It’s not as crispy as I would want it, but it was still good accompanying butter and maple syrup(what wouldn’t be though). The eggs and turkey sausage were also fine.

If you want to have mediocre food in a mediocre place with mediocre service and a mediocre atmosphere Jimmy’s Egg is perfect. It’s really nothing to get excited about, but I’ll admit, I had a mediocre time.

I was very surprised by this place. Such a small town café type feel. Servers had their regulars and knew their orders before they even had to say anything. Service is great! Very friendly and very attentive! The food… Oh my gosh! Home fries are the best! My husband really enjoyed the buttermilk pancakes. I would definitely return here!

I would never have gone there if it weren’t for a friend wanting to meet me there for breakfast. It’s really good — just really, really good! There’s no awesome ambiance or trendy anything about this place. Just really good food. I love it.

@jimmysegg; #jimmysegg; #breakfast, The most important meal of the day! Having been to this breakfast favorite before I knew what to expect. This very popular diner style chain can be very busy at times and today we were surprised to be the first in line for the next table. We were seated within about 1 – 2 minutes which is an excellent time when we normally will wait 5 – 10 to be seated. Due to the surprisingly good coffee and quick but helpful service, we keep returning. Our orders were taken with ease and our coffee’s kept filled. We ordered the Belgian waffle combo as well as an omelette. Both dishes arrived together fresh from the kitchen. The omelette was perfectly cooked as were the hashbrowns. The waffle and eggs with fruit were cooked exactly as desired and were delicious. We left with pleasantly full tummies and a smile on our faces. @jimmysegg #breakfast, #sunday

Just had a good breakfast at Jimmy’s Egg. Packed but sat right down with my daughter. Happy voices filled my ears. Pleasant surroundings. Comfy seats. Attentive servers. A bit pricey but the food is worth it. Scrambled eggs not heavy and tasty on their own. Pancakes with variety like blueberry granola and savory bacon cheddar. Had these. Yum. Sausage with good flavor and bacon good. Full menu for breakfast and lunch. We left«satisfied.» Second time here. Will be back more often.

Not really impressed on my first visit here. Nothing to special or new to this restaurant. Just your basic breakfast/brunch place. Server never introduced herself… maybe she forgot her name. Had my kids with me and had to ask for kids coloring sheets and crayons. Isn’t it a international sign to bring those items to the table when you see kids? O well… I chose the garbage omlet with house potatoes and 2 biscuits and country gravy The omlet was garbage, no flavor at all. The omlet is filled with hash browns, green peppers and sausage. I didn’t finish because it was pretty boring. Not sure if I’ll be back…

Sunday breakfast and we just beat the rush so YAY! The place is not that big so come early on weekends or be prepared to wait. Service was a bit slow but understandable due to the rush. 3 Stars Food-Basic solid breakfast items. Was a bit surprised at the portions(larger than anticipated). 3 – 4 Stars Atmosphere. Basic layout, clean and accessible. No concerns. 3 Stars. Jimmy’s Egg is a solid choice for breakfast items. No concerns here.

Cleanliness 4 Service 3 Food 3 Likelihood 3 1 – 5(5 Best!) 3.3 It has been almost a year since our last visit. This visit was about the same. A very clean restaurant, and restrooms. THANKYOU! We found a table and sat and waited. And waited. And waited. The servers(one of which was ours) were huddled talking about who had what sections, and why. We were close to getting up and leaving when she finally asked if we were ready. We ordered. I am frustrated when order takers ask if I want any of my beverages refilled if my meal has not yet been presented OR I am not finished. Yes! Keep the beverages filled until a) after the meal OR b) I tell you I am done. Food was a bit more expensive then I remember. It was hot, very VERY bland. No taste for biscuits and gravy and eggs benedict. I am glad we got our yearly visit in, and that good to know we have not missed to much since then!

Decent breakfast place that does sweet potato pancakes. It wasn’t the cleanest(my mug had lipstick on it) or the best tasting but I had a good time. The server was nice and I left full. The ham steak wasn’t too bad, but the coffee wasn’t very strong, I had to have about 6 cups!

Give me the Country Benedict any day! Egg(your way) over sausage over biscuit under sausage gravy and some cheese, which isn’t really needed because it doesn’t add any flavor that I can tell. Hash browns on the side and when I ask for crispy that’s exactly how they come! Service is so very friendly and attentive. I’ve also had the egg white, spinach and mushroom omelet with cottage cheese and slice tomatoes. Yes, I’ve run the gamut at this restaurant and it’s all good! There is no reason not to come to Jimmy’s Egg for breakfast. The menu is expansive, so LOTS to choose from. You’ll be glad you stopped in.
