Small To Tall Pediatric Dentistry

My husband and I couldn’t be more impressed with Small to Tall Dentistry! Due to some unusual circumstances with our previous dentist office, we were scrambling to find a pediatric dentist who could help our 5 year old son with some major dental work: an extraction due to an infection in the root of a baby molar, a baby root canal, a crown, and multiple fillings.
After a bit of research and asking many reputable sources, we found Small to Tall Dentistry. As soon as we connected with Dr. Ruder, we were put at ease. He was so kind and generous with his time. He spoke with me on the phone on two different occasions at great length before my son was even one of his patients. (None of my health care providers have ever offered to talk to me on the phone before.) Dr. Ruder intelligently answered all of our questions and encouraged us to contact him again if any more questions arose.
When Dr. Ruder met our son for the first time during his evaluation appointment, my son liked him immediately. Dr. Ruder looked at my son in the eyes and talked with him, not at him. When Dr. Ruder asked my son questions, he seemed genuinely interested in my son’s responses. He even mailed us a detailed hand written note a few days later stating how he enjoyed meeting our son and is confident a plan can be reached to best meet his needs. My son really liked receiving mail from his new dentist!
We appreciated how Dr. Ruder gave us a few options as to how to address my son’s issues. When it came time to schedule my son’s first of three dental appointments, Dr. Ruder was not available. We were scheduled to see Dr. Rowley. We couldn’t have been more impressed with him as well!
Dr. Rowley has a very calm and gentle approach. He is obviously extremely knowledgeable and experienced. We are grateful that he was able to work with our son and help him have two very positive experiences with some pretty intense dental procedures. (In fact, what really amazed us was that after having a tooth extraction, our son was not apprehensive at all to go back for the next procedure five days later.)
After one meet and greet appointment with Dr. Ruder and two impeccable dental treatment appointments with Dr. Rowley, we are certain that we have found the right place for our son!

We have been seeing Dr. Ruder at Small to Tall for 5 years with our now 3 children, and have had such a positive experience. They tailor the experience for children, making what could be an anxiety-​producing event one that my kids actually look forward to! The Small to Tall staff are amazing! They have treated my daughter for all of her life and she enjoys the dentist experience as a result. All of the staff are kind, knowledgeable, professional and patient. Its an upbeat, kid-​friendly atmosphere and we would highly recommend them to anyone with children of all ages. The new office is state of the art and laser services provide in-​office procedures that are awesome! The dentists are all so professional and work well with kids taking the time to explain everything and put parents at ease. I will continue to bring my children here and recommend to all my friends. Thank you for helping provide my daughter with such a beautiful smile she is proud of.

The Small to Tall staff is amazing. They have treated all 3 of my children for over 7 years now. They educate the kids, talk to them respectfully, and always explain what the plan for the visit will be. The dentists themselves have created such a caring environment that you feel it from the moment you walk in the door. Everyone is friendly, warm, and personable. My only wish would be that they treated adults too so that I could be a patient here as well.

Took my son here for his first dental appointment. I had expected it to be scary for my son but each staff member took their time and let him know exactly what they were going to do. Kathy was our hygienist and she was friendly and upbeat. My son LOVED her. No problems cleaning and polishing his teeth. Dr. Ruder came in for the exam, and counted his teeth with superheroes. GREAT JOB all around. Billing was upfront and no surprise costs came up at the end of our appointment. Kathy even did a follow up call a few days after our appointment if any questions came up. We will continue to go to Small to Tall.

My son has gone here since he first had teeth and in the past 9 years they have taken excellent care not only of his teeth but also his anxiety. All the staff is friendly and caring! I will continue to take him here!!!
