They are ridiculously over priced. They cost more then Starbucks. I use to go there every morning before work until I found out they were over pricing me and not my boss. I had my boss go down a few times to order a drink and they charged him $ 2 less then me. They also overcharge on their cream cheese. Now I make the effort to go to Starbucks.

So far, so good! We have stopped in this location a few times now and the mocha lattes have been consistently tasty. The«latte art» is super cute whenever you get it, I can’t help but take a photo! They sell Main Street Cookies here, I’ve seen some cold sandwiches and pastries as well as other random cookies and treats. I’ve tried a delicious cupcake before(Chocolate Cheesecake) and wow! It was so good. I look forward to trying more of their pastries and goodies. The shop itself is small but they only have a few tables and a few bars but they have seating outdoors and most people seem to grab their coffee and go.

I don’t know why it took me so long to try this place, but their coffee rocks! Seems like a great place to bring coworkers for a lunch meeting. clean…pleasant environment. Great seating layout. The espresso is Killer!

The best, most underrated coffee in the PNW by far. Before I was exposed to the many local coffee shops in Seattle(and I’m NOT talking about Starbucks), there was the one lone coffee place in Olympia that was always a treat to go to when growing up. There really are no words to describe one amazing cup of coffee and I promise you’ll experience that at Dancing Goats. Try their soy latte — it’s out of this world. And you really can’t beat the location! Nothing tops grabbing a delicious cup of Jo on a beautiful, crisp Autumn morning while taking a stroll through the Olympia Farmers’ Market and Percival Landing. I want to go to there…

Changed a lot since I was a teenager. And in all good ways. But as back in the 1990s, a little less pretension with the americano would be nice!

Batdorf makes great coffee — I even found a restaurant in Hamilton, Bermuda that has their coffee shipped in. Why? Because the owner’s wife had it one time and loved it. He serves it in his restaurant(I couldn’t write a review, since Unilocal isn’t there yet), and he said he breaks even. But… he loves his wife so he gets the coffee shipped in. Anyway, Dancing Goats: Great coffee, friendly service, and a handy place to swing by after shopping at the Farmer’s Market.

Meh. Both brewed coffees were almost out when I ordered on a Saturday morning. So I got the half cup of remaining coffee for free, while the barista just said sorry, didn’t offer to make any more or how long it would take, and said bye. Coffee shop with no coffee, always a good one

Very nice place. They have good pastries, both conventional and vegetarian pre-made sandwiches and burritos, and they are located right next to the Farmer’s Market and the marina(in a very mellow part of town). They also have outdoor seating and friendly staff.

Free wifi and across the street from the coolest Farmer’s market. B&B has well trained barristers. Home town roasted beans. Great bathrooms too. They get an extra star for a «tea menu.»

I enjoy the ambiance in this location the most. The coffee from B&B I find to be insipid. They have snacks, and a variety of drinks, but honestly they aren’t that great. The baristas aren’t very friendly, like most customer service in Olympia. I do like sitting in here tho.

Ok, before everyone blasts me for the one star. I LOVELOCALCOFFEEHOUSES but this one is NOT good. I stopped by yesterday to get a simple vanilla latte and waited 18 minutes to get it, I kid you not. So, normally if I was with friends visiting or reading the paper it would be no big deal but I had stopped with the kids to get cupcakes at a nearby cupcake place(YUM — SWEETCHARLEY B’s) and decided to have the kids wait in the car(all old enough mind you) while I ran to get a latte to go with my cupcake. There was no one else in line in front of me at the cash register and only two people that I could see, waiting for coffees. There were two baristas and one cashier working. SERIOUSLY18 minutes? As I was standing there waiting for my latte I saw the cashier drinking a coffee out of a mug near the cashier(never appropriate for employees to drink/eat in customer areas IMO). Then I saw the male barista smell the milk in the steaming cup repeatedly as if it was sour. He even wrinkled his nose BUTBEGAN steaming the milk anyway. I was hoping to God that wasnt my drink. Turns out 18 minutes later that it was my drink. I got out to the car with my kids, started to drive off, and took a sip of my latte. Sour milk and GROSS. Threw it away. What a waste of time and money. The only good thing about the trip is that I bought the person behind me in lines’ coffee and she looked as if she could use some kindness. So my trip wasnt for nothing. But I still wanted a good coffee. Hate to say it but Ill make my own or head to another coffee shop next time.

I grew up in Seattle and my sister lived in Shelton for almost twenty years, but pretty much the only time I hit up Olympia was when I took the Greyhound to meet her. This last July my daughter and I visited family and friend in Seattle then headed to my sister’s near Olympia and then spent the afternoon and evening in the city. One of the first stops(after Charley B’s) was Dancing Goats, purely because I was insistent on not hitting any chain coffee or food locations on my trip. The fun name was pure entertainment bonus. I love coffee… now. But when I lived in Seattle, I hated it(it wasn’t until I moved to SoCal that I started enjoying coffee). My business at coffee shops and espresso stands consisted of me drinking Italian sodas because no way in hell was I going to order any coffee. Blech(at the time). It all started in high school where we had a coffee stand in our cafeteria(I know, right? Yes, we were spoiled in Shoreline). Unsure what to get, I went with flavors of my favorite Snapple drink, kiwi strawberry. Love, love. Over they years it became my regular drink and I even bought the syrups and made it at home every now and then. Unfortunately, all the freaking coffee shops down here in SoCal don’t even make Italian sodas.(ok, I take that back, only one independent one, Olivera’s in Temecula does). So my sister and daughter and I walked into this dancing goats place and really, the last thing I wanted was coffee. Especially since I’d just had a very very sweet cupcake a few minutes before. I wanted something refreshing! Kiwi strawberry Italian soda it was! Many might wonder what the big deal is, but trust me, they can be mixed very very poorly and this place made it perfect. Enough syrup to give flavor but not to drown out the sparkling part(yay soda water). Yummy, yummy, kiwi strawberry Italian soda. We pretty much downed it quickly while sitting on our stools at the window. Friendly, nice small store, right by the Farmers Market. Perhaps I’ll try their coffee when I visit the family again in a couple years.

I love this place. Everything I’ve had is yummy. The location makes it easy to grab something to snack on while you ride the Dash, or to grab a bite and then head to walk the boardwalk with a friend or your favorite fluffy pal.

I got an iced tea at Dancing Goats, and they had no Sweet-n-Low or Splenda. «Sorry, we ran out.» It’s kind of inexcusable. It’s not like i am visiting someone’s house, I’m paying money for a drink, and this very simple amenity isn’t available. In the morning, when you noticed your inventory of sweetener packets was low, someone should have made a trip to Costco for another $ 15 box. It is a clear sign that not much planning goes into running this business.

I absolutely LOVE coming here for my Batdorf and Bronson coffee. I like this particular location because of the proximity to the Farmers Market, and free parking! The baristas are always friendly and the coffee is amazing. My favorite drink is the vanilla mocha. Delish!

Solid coffee joint in Olympia near the farmers market. I got a triple tall mocha(to go) and was thoroughly happy with what I got– well steamed milk and very smooth espresso, although a smidge on the sweet side– but thats my own bad, didn’t stop me from finishing it off! The ladies working there were all very nice, and the clientele was steadily streaming in from the nearby farmers market. I didn’t partake in the pastries, as I had scored a croissant from nearby, but they all looked decent.

Not sure who came up with the name Dancing Goats but the images it brings to mind of two goats boogying down is awkward and slightly distressing. Fortunately this espresso bar is anything but disturbing. The staff is friendly and one gets the impression that they take their jobs very seriously. Being an espresso amateur, I can’t even begin to dissect their latte pouring technique or their bean grinding skills. What I can say is that I always order an Iced Americano and find their pours to be consistent on nearly every visit, just the right amount of bitterness for my taste. It’s located across the street from the Olympia farmers market and attracts a more mature clientele whose focus appears to be that of getting a good cup of coffee and resuming their market activities. This seems to usually provide for a quick moving line no doubt assisted by the efficiency of the team behind the counter. I especially enjoy the bar style seating along the windows that promotes people watching. It’s my personal joy to occasionally escape the noise of 4th ave and travel to this shop for the illusion of being in a place not punctuated by hippies, self-righteous college students, and the peg legged hipsters that you find at every turn right up the street. Though not my favorite coffee spot in Olympia it’s definitely near the top and often recommend it to others.
