At first I was really really REALLY not sure about this place. The guy totally put me off. But as we interacted, I realized that this sense of humor was just really different from mine. I really appreciate that he told me I did NOT in fact need a repair and showed me how to easily fix the issue. I bought some needles and a bobbin holder, not because I needed to, but because he was so awesome. I am new to sewing and this seemed like an advanced store. Not a lot of selection, but super fancy machines and some specialty items. Reccommend.

I had not one but two dreadful experiences with A-1 sewing. Bad customer service and a rude manner seem to be the norm here! Conversations with other past customers confirm that I’m not the only one. Can’t recommend them at all.

Viking repairs & maintenance a bit pricey here {common for brand}, but these guys were really down~to~earth, up~front and honest with me. I’ve dealt with many kinds of sewing & vac. repair shops over the years and have seen it all from ‘yess ma’aming to outright bs’… they are clearly superior here! Doug was also helpful with some concerning sewing needs and inquiries as well as help for a friend whose serger I was repairing because neither of us could afford to send it in. Lots of last~minute, on~their~time resource referals that they couldn’t be profiting from; information I’ve found invaluble from a business I will be refering fellow members of creative groups to for years to come!
