Taqueria Cinco De Mayo

Looks like a little hole in the hall place in not the nicest area, which is why I get my food to go, but it is delicious! And very reasonably priced! Give it a try! :)

I wasn’t sure about trying the wet burrito — in my experience in northern California, too many restaurants just have crappy wet sauce that tastes like chili powder. Not so at Cinco de Mayo! I bet they use chocolate or peanut butter or something to balance out the peppers. I’m going to ask them next time.
I know burrito places have a reputation for making large burritos. Cinco de Mayo takes it to the next level. These burritos are BIGGER THAN YOUR HEAD. Get a super burrito in the morning and you could eat the thing all day long or share it with half the residents of Olivehurst.
I haven’t tried everything on the menu — in fact, I’ve had a chicken burrito, a super wet burrito, and a breakfast burrito. Will update as I expand into the rest of the menu.
Oh and they are very nice and friendly, too!

To order a burrito and be given such dry flavorless slop! Ordered a taco one other time from here and it was so full of grease or oil it was messier than ice cream on a mid summer day. Never wasting my time or money again.

Earlier this afternoon my mom and I had lunch here. We both ordered the same thing, 3 crunch chicken taco combo w/​rice and beans. I have no complaints about the food what’s so ever.
The service was fast, all smiles, greeted us, and I was even taught the Spanish word for «no onions.»
The menu selection is really good, big portions, price wise is really good. Basically you’ll come here hungry, leave full, and not fill like you’ve blown a lot of money.
I strongly recommend that each time you come here try something different from the menu. Cheese burgers, fries, soft/​crunchy tacos, burritos, and many more stuff that I can’t spell.
I’ve been coming here for years, and never have I been disappointed. Great food, nice employees, and wonderful service. What’s even better about this place, it’s only down the street from me.

Had it for dinner tonight and it was yummy. So glad we decided to try this place out. We had the fiesta fries, super burrito and a few orders of the tripas flautas. The tripas flautas was the best! Everything is super sized, we couldn’t even finish our food bc it was that fulfilling. I’m definitely going back.

Good Lord I love this place. I have yet to find something I do not like. Place is a gem.
PREFERENCE: CARNITAS SUPER BURRITO

Don’t know why I haven’t review this place… My regular spot when I don’t want to go too far. So happy that it’s so close to where I live. The service here is always wonderful! Very friendly. My favorite item on the menu is the steak crunchy tacos!!! So delicious.

I just had the word experience. I made a phone order at the taqueria I gave them my order and she read it back 2 me and told me it would be done in 10 minutes. So I go to get my food and the girl that took my order completely got it wrong so not only did I have to fix my order I also had to wait 40 minutes before I even got my order. I was very disappointed with there service quality. They use to be one of my favorite place but as of late there service has been lagging. I don’t think I will be going back

I had a carne asada burrito with no seasoning. My sons «nachos» are some chips with melted cheese. My burrito was full of lettuce. It was gross. I’ll never eat there again.

Love this place, I’ve been coming here for years. Everything on the menu that I’ve tried has been great. The employees are awesome and fast, food is always hot and delicious, a few of the girls too!

They did it. The meat is perfect now, I can actually chew and swallow the lengua. They definitely had some bad meat quality problems but got it fixed. Thank you for the great food, let’s hope you check the meat before you serve it to the customers from now on. :)

Okok. First things first: So what im really writing this review for is for an update. which I’m so happy about!!! So do you remember the old ATM machine they had with a whopping 1.50 charge? Its gone! They have a new machine FREE of charge and lets you use credit now! i’ll be able to come now when i dont have cash on me! Good for them! Yay for me!
Ok​.so i have been coming here since i can remember! I love this place! Not only is the taste always fresh, and delicious but the service you get is always wonderful!:) you can tell its a family business because they truly care about the service you are getting, always with smiles:)
Theyre a really small place so when it gets packed with people, expect to wait in line… BUT DO NOT FEAR! Its soooo worth it!
My favorites: tacos! The Carne Asada and Pastor tacos are to die for! And i guess they just added these to the menu, but they have Nacho fries now! They call them Fiesta Fries, tried the Steak ones and were delicious!
Only thing i would complain about this place is that i wish there was a bigger one and closer one to my house. But its always the little «whole in the wall» family businesses places that are truly the best!

Great food!!! Especially their burgers. they’re amazing!! oh, what heaven that first bite is. The bun, like a sesame freckled breast of an angel, resting gently on the ketchup and mustard below, flavors mingling in a seductive pas de deux. And then… a pickle! The most playful little pickle! Then a slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and a… a patty of ground beef so exquisite, swirling in your mouth, breaking apart, and combining again in a fugue of sweets and savor so delightful. This is no mere sandwich of grilled meat and toasted bread, people… This is God, speaking to us in food (from 5 de mayo:).

Seal of approval from me! Delicious carnitas and rice on the way to high Sierra music fest that I’ve found in 10 years. :)

The menudo was great the people were friendly and it was very affordable I would recommend it to anybody and the other food they serve is great I will return again

I can’t exactly argue with the price, but my carne asada was poorly seasoned and a bit dry. The beans and rice were pretty… bland. The service was good though.

This place is pretty authentic, clean, friendly, but if u order outside the box, it throws them off!

Always stop at this place on the way back from the Motocross tracks. I will admit it isn’t the nicest of areas but the food is good and fairly priced. Their hard tacos are cheep and hit the spot. Their street style tacos are good too. Had the carnitas, carne asada both were great. I also have had the burger and fries and they too are good. My favorite is the Carnita Torta sandwich. MMmmmm good. Can’t wait to go back again as its kind of a tradition for us now. Keep up the good food !

This is no Taco Bell. If authentic Mexican food is what you are looking for then this is the spot for you. As the picture shows, this is a small Mexican stand right off of Olivehurst Ave. They offer regular burritos in about five different meats and breakfast burritos in two different sizes medium (2.75 $) and super ($ 4.75). The super burrito is about three pounds and was enough food for me for breakfast and lunch.
The area is pretty ghetto and run down but this doesnt seem to effect the quality of the food at all. The lady who take our order spoke both spanish and english fluently and was very kind.
If I was rating on food alone, ‘Taqueria Cinco De Mayo’ would receive five stars easily. Unfortunately this isn’t the case and I had to give them four stars for their ‘dining in’ experience. They have three stone circle picnic tables that are literally only four feet from the front of the stand, so if you sit and eat, the people in line have their asses in your face. Also the flies are gross. The best advice I can give is to get your food to go!

I really don’t understand how a community with so many Latinos can make such bad food. They have all the ingredients that a taqueria needs to make a good burrito, but no it just doesn’t taste the same. The food is cheap, just not good.
I just have to stick with the bay area for my latino food.
