Anyone thay has given this place any kind of positive review whatsoever must be out of their mind. I went here with my wife and children based on the reviews we read and we’re extremely dissapointed. It was far from anything Italian. the supposed fresh greens salad were half ass chopped iceberg lettuce, un pealed shaved carrots and a tomato wedge. The chicken milanese was tiny and burnt with nothing on it and came with fries. The kids meals were also awful. Say nothing about the service. We walked in and had to seat ourselves, (that’s when we should have known to leave). Staff was not familiar with the menu, never mind Italian food. We have had better Italian from a can of chef boy ardee. Do not waist your money here and time of your life that you Will never get back.

We picked this restaurant based upon other Unilocal reviews… So glad we did! We consider ourselves authorities on Italian food seeing as my wife’s family is straight off the boat, so to speak. Also grew up a stones throw from Boston’s North End. The veal was very tender, the meatballs were fantastic, service was impeccable. Can’t think of anything negative to say. Would definitely come back.

Wow. The veal piccata was excellent. Sauce homemade. Pasta l’dente. She must have pounded that veal to death it was so tender. Cosmo terrific.
Son had pizza. Nice thin crust. The best pizza at OOB! 2nd time we have had pizza here.
Don’t miss this place when visiting OOB. Come casual.

It was just ok. The bartender was friendly and nice but she had to look to see what kind of Chardonnay they had and then only the house. The server was friendly but overwhelmed. Ask her for suggestions and she told us she hadn’t tried anything. We ordered a side of meatball which where yummy. The pizza was good but the calzones didn’t have enough filling that wasn’t ricotta cheese. Shrimp scampi was ok. Liked the Italian dressing. Surprisingly they were out of one of there three desserts. So not bad but not great.

Just finished dinner here and I have to say it was delicious! If you are looking for «Nanas cooking» this is your place. My husband and I and our 3 teenage kids ate like we were at Nanas house. Meatballs to die for, bolognase sauce sauce killer and the pizza just like the New Haven style we are used too …all served by a lovely waitress … A true gem here in OOB… Cannot wait to come back.

Don’t be fooled by the appearance of the interior. The food here was very good and at a reasonable price. Portion sizes were on the smaller side, but given that we are away on vacation I didn’t exactly want left overs. This place was not busy at 6:30 on a Friday night – which concerned me at first. But after eating the food, I think this was mostly a product of the fact that you need to walk a bit away from the popular area if OOB. I highly recommend the lobster aka vodka.

Agree with the other reviewer that this is the best food in OOB. We’ve been here twice for dinner and both times we were absolutely charmed by the service and the food. The family that owns this place is beyond welcoming and damn… Can they cook!
The meatballs and baked pasta are so delicious– hands down some of the best meatballs I’ve ever had. The lobster macaroni and cheese was delicious and the pizza is the same quality as at Mario’s and Rocco’s. And thanks to the other Unilocal reviewers, we tried a pitcher of the red sangria. Oh my sweet baby Jesus… So good. We’re fans. I guarantee we’ll be back before we leave Maine.

I was so excited to find out that Rocco’s was opening a «new» sit down place right down E Grand Ave. The pizza at Rocco’s is top notch; the absolute best in Maine! At Rocco’s 47 East, you can help yourself to the same great pizza and some sangria (they have a full bar here)!
We came here for dinner and helped ourselves to some great pasta and pizza. We were even offered an anchovy pizza that was just spectacular. The kitchen staff also made us a wonderful pasta dish. The staff here is lovely. They actually invited us back for breakfast and we obliged. Nothing like a walk down the beach for the sunrise and a nice hot breakfast.
We can’t wait to come back

Excellent food! Best food in old orchard beach for sure! We went on a whim and it exceeded all of our expectations. I was there with my boyfriend’s family on vacation from Boston, DC, and NYC. We had a great Malbec wine to start along with a few other well-​made drinks. I had the antipasto and linguine with clams –that had plenty of clams. Others at my table had the pizza, twin 1.25 lb lobsters (for $ 20), meatballs, and the veal. Everyone left very satisfied. We had complimentary tiramisu and sangria. It was great!
