ShopRite of Old Bridge

Walking into this place is like walking into the past. Everything about the aesthetics of this place oozes the days of old. This goes for the employees as well. I don’t know where they find them, but damn they are some creatures of another realm. While we are on the subject, they aren’t nice either. They are impolite and short tounged. And don’t even get me started with the «deli» counter. Their selection of meats is about as many in my pants. And their «homemade» items look like they came out of a Zorps asshole.
Trying to find anything? Guess what, this store’s guidance system is all fucked up. The bread, for instance, is all the way near the loading docks. And it smells fucking rancid over there.
Also good luck trying to enter the place through the ACTUAL DOORS on the right. They are «exit only». What the actual fuck? You mean I have to walk my busted ass all the way to the left of the store because the only parking spot I could get was fifty spots to the right.
Don’t shop here. Even if it’s convenient.

The very young staff near the courtesy desk are constantly socializing and very loud. Maybe if they concentrate on their job, you’ll get some decent service one day. The store also is cluttered and unorganized.

Stopped in here just to pick up a bag of potato chips wince I was coming from the area! I usually use the one closer to my residence which is the Perth Amboy store and sometimes the Parlin store!!! Was looking for the Shoprite brand in the potato chip aisle and could not find it! Asked one employee he had no clue and another one said go to the courtesy desk! Went to the courtesy desk and the employee at the desk said chips are in the aisle with the potato chips if its there then we sell them! Honestly sounded like a clown this that didn’t want to be bothered! There was like 5 customers in the store! I found the chips in my own in the aisle next to it! How this store is in business beats me! At least one employee let me know I was walking in the exit door which was my mistake! Disturbing how the service was here!

Disgusting, dirty and very disorganized. This store brings shame to the shoprite name. Every other shoprite I’ve been to, new or old, have never been this badly organized and dirty. The employees are unprofessional and many were rude/​not friendly as well. My cashier tonight barely said more than 2 words to me and had a hideously tacky hickey on her neck (most retail jobs I know make you cover them). It was also very surprising to see they use old Home Depot carts as their own, with the names scratched out. I only stopped on my way home for something quick, which took longer than expected since the store was so disorganized. I will not return and would give a no star rating if I could.

I worked here while I was in high school, so part of my enjoyment of coming here over anywhere else is that I know where everything is, I still know some of the employees, and I like the local feel since you tend to get the same people coming through there. I like the 50s-​70s music & it has probably kept me in the store longer than necessary sometimes. Compared to other ShopRite’s in the area, it could definitely use a makeover, but old habits die hard, so as long as they have what I need, I’ll keep coming here no matter what.

Not a fan of this Shop Rite, but it’s the closest food store so I use it! Aisles are small and the place is very outdated. I find that shoppers there can be extremely rude and practically take up the whole small aisles. I really try to just get what I need and get out.

I only shop here when I’m either in a hurry or to lazy to go anywhere else. I don’t think this place has had any updates since the 50’s.
