3.7 stars Food: It’s good, but not exceptional. I had the tuna cones and duck tacos. Value: Very pricey. But some good deals during Happy Hour. Service: Friendly and efficient. The bartender was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food and drinks Atmosphere: Upscale and low-key, though it was very early. Drinks: Full bar. Tasty cocktails and ½ price for Happy Hour. I was disappointed that the food wasn’t great, but it’s good enough to make a repeat visit during Happy Hour. P. S. They no longer have a lounge or take away the tables late at night.

I love this place. The food is heavenly. Never anticipated such a hidden gem. I had the Thai Shrimp Bisque and I practically licked the bowl clean. My friends had the Korean Broccoli and a Caesar Salad. Yum! The we had some Grilled Mediterranean Shrimp and Lobster Canelloni Carbonara. My server Jessica was awesome and she knew the menu inside out. ‘Just’ is just perfect. I live in North Jersey but will make a special trip for this incredible restaurant.

We absolutely love this place. It is not exactly in a typical restaurant location. Being located behind a gas station may turn some potential clients away, but it shouldn’t. I’m here to say it is worth the chance. There is a nice variety in the menu, so it should suit whatever your tastes. I would absolutely recommend the tandoori chicken, short rib ravioli or Filet Mignon. Honestly you can’t go wrong. Each and everytime we’ve been here the food always tastes awesome. Regardless of when you come the food is exactly like it had been on previous occassions. While the prices aren’t exactly cheap it is true you get what you pay for here. The only reason I didn’t give the full 5 stars, is the price. We enjoy the food, and will continue coming as long as the quality of the food continues to be «Just» Amazing!

This place is hidden behind a gas station and I never would have noticed it(or made a reservation) if it hadn’t been for the reviews here. The staff is amazing, everyone was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food is incredible! The pretzel rolls with homemade mustard sauce was such a nice change from typical bread. 3 of us shared the spicy tuna cones, duck tacos, crispy pork belly, short rib ravioli, filet mignon skewer, and beet salad. Every single thing was delicious and devoured almost immediately. We tried the chocolate cake for dessert which was good, not great. Can’t wait to go back!

Overall good food with a very eclectic menu so there are many unique choices. I booked on Open table but didn’t receive 1000 points so beware! The space is open and reminds you of a banquet hall lacking character. The staff gets 5 stars since the waiters are very accommodating and very good looking. I will return just for the service! There is no issue finding this place Lao ignore the whiners! Yes you drive thru the gas station lot… No big deal! RATED5STARSFORBEINGVGFRIENDLY!

We came here on a Friday night with another couple. I had been scoping Just out for a while and was really excited to eat here. The restaurant is gorgeous. You really feel like you’re in a very fancy place in spite of having to drive through a gas station in Old Bridge to get here. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars but went with 3 due to tiny portions coupled with very high prices and some cooking mistakes. I ordered the Just Champagne and pear martini. Both were strong and delicious. I especially loved the elderflower in the champagne. We loved the homemade soft pretzels with mustard butter. It’s always exciting when restaurants do something different for the bread course. For appetizers, we shared the wagu sliders, duck tacos, and pork belly. The duck and pork belly were a little overcooked. These appetizers were small and difficult to share. For example, they brought out 3 sliders for the 4 of us and we had to awkwardly divvy them up. It all tasted good, and I give them credit for being creative with the ingredients and flavors they incorporated. For our entrées, my husband and I shared the duck duet and glazed chili short ribs. The short ribs were great. We loved the spicy chili paired with creamy mashed potatos and buttery leeks. This entrée was cooked well and decently portioned. The pieces of duck in the duet were comically small; they were not just short but also thin. Thank goodness for the duck meatball that accompanied this dish otherwise it would have been really sad. I would have liked the duck breast to be a little more underdone, but I wasn’t asked how I wanted it cooked. It’s worth mentioning that none of us were asked how we wanted our food cooked. I was especially surprised that my friend who ordered the $ 32 lamb chops was not asked. For dessert, I love smores, so I ordered the smores crème brûlée. Sadly, I didn’t taste any chocolate or graham crackers. Also there was no caramelized top on the custard. The custard was thick and cheesy. It didnt taste bad… I was just expecting smores crème brûlée and instead was given a marshmallow cheesecake pudding thing. Just has the pricing and feel of an upscale restaurant but lacks the sophistication.

Went there for dinner last night. We were two couples. Excellent service and beautiful place. Immaculate too. I had the tuna which was delicious but the men got short ribs and they said good not great. Didn’t have much flavor. My gf had the sea bass and enjoyed it. Bar is very small but drinks were excellent. Would definitely go back

Cons: none Pros: top rate service and top rate food. Got to order the spicy tuna cone. We did 6 apps. Each was to die for. Speaking of service they earned 20% from this cheap b@st@rd. Shout out the duck tacos! So Al says: «You gotta eat here!»

Came here for their February Brunch. The Good: It’s a cute restaurant. Décor was very nice and they had a live jazz band playing which added to the ambience. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. Crab cake, Bloody Mary and food presentation set a high bar for the meal. However the rest of it fell short. The Bad: the deviled eggs didn’t have a lot of flavor, bland. The 3 piece of roe really didn’t add to it. My husband wasn’t too happy with his seat and eggs largely because he thought he would get a piece of meat he can cut into. Instead, it was already cut up and mixed. He didn’t even finish it. My Cuban sandwich was good but all there was in it is bread ham and pickles in a sauce. Relatively small sandwich. Dessert looked very sad. That was the worst part because we were so looking forward to it! It was a dry waffle with a Nutella spread and half a strawberry over it. Only thing that came out WITHOUT an appealing presentation. For food quality the prices are a bit high. It’s edible but can also be made in your own kitchen.

This place is definitely a hidden gem. Literally hidden behind a gas station. Once you drive past the gas station the look of the restaurant is nice. Despite the location, inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated. The modern furniture, the lighting and the giant bar in the back gives it a loungy feeling. After reading the reviews we decided to take the risk and make a reservation for our Valentine’s Day dinner. We originally made a reservation for an early dinner but had to change it for a late one last minute(the day of). The restaurant was very accommodating but did warn us that we might have a little bit of a wait once we get in. THEYLIED! We got seated right away despite the fact they were quite busy. Instead of bread they brought out hot soft pretzel bread with honey mustard butter.amazing. For appetizers we shared the spicy tuna cones, highly recommend it! I won’t lie we ordered the tuna cones based on the pretty pictures we had seen on their page and as posted by other Unilocalers. The cones tasted as good as they looked. For dinner my husband got the lamb shank and absolutely loved it. I got the miso glazed sea bass. The fish is not super glazed like the miso glazes cod(my fav from a certain Japanese Restaurant), instead its lightly glazed and served on a bed of brothy green. Despite being picky with my miso glazed fish I thought my sea bass was different but delicious. We shared a side of mushroom risotto which was pretty good. For dessert we got the cinnamon sugar doughnuts. It was warm and soft ball of goodness that tasted even better when dipped in the vanilla icing. Despite the busy night the service was impeccable. The waiters made sure our water always got refilled. We will definitely be back for more

Hidden treasure in Old Bridge, NJ! This is the kind of place to bring someone special. At first, it looks like someone is playing a joke on you, since the landmark from rt. 9 south is… the Delta gas atation. And I mean Delta as the rin down dinky sort of Delta station. But the joke ends up right there. The location which shares space with an eastern european market(delish foods to go, salmons including roe, home made blinis, etc) looks like it was definitely transported from another place. Now to the food. In one word: superb as it is the ambiance and décor. They have seasonal menus but the constants are absolutely delicious! The sliders are out of this world and the short rib anything… insanely flavorful bites. I have yet to order a thing that I haven’t enjoyed. I posted a few pictures. If you are tired of the same ol same ol and will be anywhere around, do NOT miss this gem. Local, ambiance, attention to detail and above all… flavor profile makes it the perfect combination for an out of the ordinary experience!

I think giving Just 3 stars is generous considering the mediocre food and service we had. Everyone we encountered was kind and pleasant, however our waiter had taken a little too long to tend to us from the get go. I’m not sure if it’s because we were a younger couple, but the older couple next to us seemed to be serviced at a quicker pace than we were. Service aside, the food was disappointing. We started off with drinks, I had prosecco and my bf had the New York Sour. The signature cocktail was straight bourbon and impossible to enjoy. The pretzel with house honey mustard was probably my favorite part of the meal. The sauce was the right combination of salty and sweet, and the dough was delightful. As an appetizer we shared the pork belly which was pretty good, not outstanding. For our main courses I had the tuna volcano, and he had the duck duet. He seemed to enjoy his dish(I tried it and wasn’t impressed), and the tuna was alright. It was generously seasoned seared tuna in their defense. We finished our meals off with the smores crème brûlée…which was forgettable. Overall, Just wasn’t bad… it simply wasn’t good. Maybe I ordered the wrong meal and dessert. However for this price point, I expect everything to be delicious and mouthwatering. I had high expectations considering the Unilocal reviews and the«New York vibe» but the food was sub par. I’m sure people that don’t venture out into the city for food often will enjoy this restaurant. Also…they didn’t have any specials on a Saturday night…

I took several days to write this review for many reasons and I settled on 3 stars… I was torn between 3 and 4 stars, after consulting with my consigliere(my wife) I settled on 3 stars. I was able to move on from having to drive thru a gas station to get to the restaurant. The restaurant is decorated beautifully. I was cordially greeted at the door, my wife and I were joining group of 12 for 830 dinner reservations. I had scouted out the menu prior to arriving, pricey especially for Old Bridge NJ As another Unilocaler mentioned I also feel like this is positioned as a Manhattan style restaurant. Eccentric menu, large variety of choices with Manhattan prices. We ordered fried calamari, skewered filet mignon and tuna roll in a spicy cone. The presentation is beautiful, the portions are borderline offensive. All the items tasted wonderful. The chef gives quite a bit of thought in his presentation and flavors. Many of our guests ordered the 15 oz ribeye, after taking our orders the waitress came back to tell us that they only had 2… Saturday Night…2 steaks really? I am glad business is so good. The guests who were unable to get the rib eye settled on the Filet Mignon. I was lucky and got the Rib eye, excellent steak seasoned just enough cooked to a perfect Medium. The steak was accompanied by the most fabulous chipolte seasoned steak fries. I also ordered a side of mushroom risotto… a bargain at $ 6 and it was silky smooth and delicious. I might just go back and order 3 orders of their risotto, star of the show for me. The gents who had the filet were disappointed, small and I mean small steak. My better half had a short rib dish with a spicy ketchup like substance on top. The short ribs were prepared well but the sauce was less than desirable. A few of the guests ordered salads which were well less than impressive for $ 12. One guest had the chilean seabass and he raved. A few other had their rendition of the chicken tandoori and they said it was a solid dish. We had many cocktails, cocktails and wine range from $ 10 to $ 15…again not Old Bridge NJ prices A few of us had coffee… The meal came to $ 838 plus tip. We left over $ 1000 After the bill was paid we sat around for about 30 minutes after closing as did 2 other tables I am extremely annoyed that after we paid the bill not one person checked on us, asked us if we would like a another coffee, refill water etc. Very disappointing, especially given the bill. To end on a positive note, the waitress picked up 2 appetizers given the issue with the steak order. I really enjoyed my meal and I will probably go back but be prepared as your experience may not be perfect but the food is excellent.

The food here was amazing, especially the appetizers. The waiter we had was helpful and informative: except he got one minor fact wrong… Tandoori is indian, not Italian. My Tandoori chicken was very good but my boyfriends steak was not. No flavor & very bland. Would not recommend getting a steak here. Probably should have not ordered a steak at a non-steak restaurant. This place is hidden on rt9, the location is awkward because it is behind a gas station.

A hidden gem. I’ve been here twice and I will be back again. We went on a weekday and weekend. Menu: The menu changes slightly depending on when you go. Meaning, both times I ordered the filet but each time they were accompanied by different sauces /garnishes. My husband got the rice both times but the first time it was a lobster type rice and the following time it was a Peruvian rice. Food Review: Appetizers, Dinners and Dessert(Fried Oreos) were delicious. My fiancé LOVES the fried Oreos(it’s the main reason I can get him to go back so often). In my opinion the food is very very good. I have no complaints. Service: Wonderful, very attentive, knowledgable about their menu. Ambiance: Romantic. If they had a pianist or jazz players I would make this my #1 regular go-to place for date night.

A hidden gem in Central Jersey. Me and my boyfriend came here one night after hearing good things about Just and not wanting to travel into the city for a fancy date night. Just blew us away. Presentation was what I would expect from a 5 star Miami Beach restaurant, taste was impeccable, service was perfection and atmosphere was romantic, trendy, and beautiful! I’ve since been here several times and each time the amazing taste and atmosphere of utmost class are always present! Must order: Spicy tuna cones Miso-Glazed Sea Bass Truffle fries EVERY dessert & cocktail!

Just is a decent restaurant for the area. They are striving to recreate a NYC restaurant vibe and they do a good, albeit not great, job. The highlights have always been the servers who in the three times I’ve been were all excellent, and the drinks. Appetizers have always been strong including the wagyu slider, tuna cone, and the pork belly(historically). The chicken tandori, ahi tuna and duck mains have been consistently good too. Overall nothing is a standout but if you want a nice date night and don’t have time to get into the city — this is perfect.
