Children’s Orchard

Do not consign at Children’s Orchard in Olathe KS. I received less than $ 1 per item on Ralph Lauren Polo, Tommy Hilfiger and Under Armor brands in mint condition. They even took 2 pairs of my daughter’s brand new shoes, only worn once, in the pile of clothes. The buyer seemed to be in a hurry to leave and didn’t ring up most items. I had an appointment so the time should have been planned out for 2 laundry baskets. She was very disorganized! She talked a good game when she described how they came up with numbers but it didn’t add up. She totally ripped me off! I would have told her that I declined the buy but everything was mixed in with other stuff and not in clear sight. Part of me feels like she took some of the clothes for her own boys. I hope that is not the case. I will never go back again.

Great deals on used clothing. Most of the clothing is in excellent condition, and not worn out as I have seen at other consignment places. They have a few other items for baby like swings. One drawback is the isles are narrow so it is very difficult navigating a stroller through the store.

This is our first stop when looking for gently used children’s clothing and equipment. We only go here first because it’s the closest to us. I have never been very impressed with it. The staff is not that friendly. The selection isn’t that great. But it is close. One time my wife went in before the store was closing just to see if they had an item. The lady at the counter seem like we were doing her grave injustice by showing up looking. We thought that was rude. After all it is her job.

I agree with Jennifer M. What they offered for my clothes was insulting. And I brought brand names like Ralph Lauren and Gymboree. Worst of all, they were sneaky about how they picked what they liked and put it all in a pile with other things in the back. When they offered me $ 8 dollars I wanted to see what all they picked for that but «there was no way they could figure that out now». It turns out, they took about 10 – 12 items — in mint condition mind you! — and offered $ 8. For that kind of a «deal» I am much better off donating to my favorite charity, City Union Mission. They do great work that blesses many.
Do not consign at Children’s Orchard unless you don’t respect yourself.

Great place to shop! Amazing prices and great service! Gap, Gymboree, 77 kids, boutique and more. I will NEVER pay full price again. Why when kids outgrow stuff before they can even wear it out? Check it out. They put out new merchandise every day so it’s always fresh. Toys and equipment too!

I started shopping here nine years ago when I had my first grandchild. I now have five grandchildren and shop here regularly. The owners are wonderful and I always get awesome customer service. The stork club for clothing birth through 12 months can’t be beat! I love their events and their sales. I feel like I can get quality clothing at a very good price. I stop by on a regular basis, searching for particular items. I just bought the most beautiful first communion gown at an awesome price of 22.99!
If you want to say that the prices are too high for used clothes, then you have not been shopping in department stores lately. Paying 8.00 for namebrand sweater that was $ 50 new in store is a deal in my book any day of the week.
Whether it’s dance gear for the girls, boots for the boys, snow gear, holiday dresses. Hats, gloves, everyday clothes, pajamas, baby gear, toys and games. .80% of what our 5 kids wear comes from children’s Orchard :)
Sometimes I go in and out find nothing other days., jack pot! We had been looking for a size 12 boys name brand winter coat for a decent price for three weeks… Finally our perseverance paid off, and we got an awesome practically brand-​new Columbia coat for $ 18.00. !
I say five stars, one of our family’s favorite places to shop :)

Not worth the time or effect to sell to them. The offers are offensively low. I would rather donate to Goodwill or other charities. Don’t waste your time. They selection to buy from was just as sad. Not really sure what their game is.

Buying: They have a nice selection of clothes, everything looks like its in decent condition. New toys from Melissa and Doug, a small selection of used books and movies. Great prices, definitely the lowest I’ve seen.
Selling: I refused their offer — most of what I brought in was new Children’s Place/​Gymboree with tags and what they pitched at me was crazy low. I guess it makes sense since their selling prices are so low, but not a place I’ll go to sell!
The shop is pretty cramped and the employees were polite if a little scattered, I had to ask 3 times to check out. Worth a visit — although hard to find going from GPS, it is right next to the SuperTarget facing out the same way!
