I believe they have closed their doors. I drive by regularly and haven’t seen it open in over a month. Too bad-it was a hopping place when times were good!

Ok got there no inside seating. hot the only fan was on the bartender. We order tea and the cowboy burger. Tea comes hot with two cubes of ice. Then the burger was bland one of the guys comes out and starts weed eating the grass as we’re eating poor restaurant behavior but to make it worse he stirs up wasp’ and they sting my wife no one offered to help couldn’t even get the bartender to give me the bill and my wife is allergic to bees wasp. No concern except for the regulars. I would never recommend or step foot in this place AWFUL!!!

Laid back and breezy, this place seems like it belongs near a large body of salt water. They hold true to their Key West style while specializing in the most unexpected. For example my favorites here can range from the shrimp appetizer to the chicken wings– and let me be the first to admit, I can be pretty hard on your average chicken wings. What a surprise these are. The put some lights up at the entrance now so we no longer drive right past it anymore on dark nights down that windy road. Thomas is welcoming, and the place is smoker friendly. Great place to unwind with a stiff drink in the cool night air near a fire pit, and good music. It’s such a secret, hidden Odessa gem.

Since 2011, I’ve been continuously lured back to Tommy’s, and while the menu has changed like the weather, the food still remains great! A few of the dishes I liked are now gone, but have been replaced by others that are equally as toothsome. Right now, the top dog on the menu is the KEYWESTCHICKEN, which my chica has kindly uploaded for your viewing pleasure. Also, another key item to note are the CHICKENWINGS. They’re slow-smoked, barbeque wings – not deep fried – and they are deeeeeeeeeelicious. Fall off the bone delicious. Just a nice place with friendly staff with a very comfortable outdoor atmosphere and still very much cigar friendly.

With their slogan«.A touch of key-west in the farm country», Tommy’s indeed evokes a sense of ultra casual watering hole that boasts whimsical picnic bench /beach side seating atmosphere. Tommy’s is literally a bleep on the side of a road, blink and you’ve passed it. This is a great place to get a nice cold beer and decent bar grub. One can tell Tommy’s is experimenting with their food offering trying to find just the right combination and I give them great credit of doing such vs. throwing just something on their menu and hoping for the best. As the food, to me, still is in the experimental stage, the quality of the what is served can be much improved. If they can limit the menu to a few things and do those few things very well, Tommy’s will be a great location worth the drive for food. At this time, its a good watering hole offering wide range of beer.

Tommy’s Paradise is a great little find, tucked up in the northern parts of Odessa near the intersection of Gunn Highway and Tarpon Springs Road. As the sign says out front, Tommy’s is where Key West meets Country. It’s an old 50’s style Florida home painted bright yellow, and decorated in a Key West /Jimmy Buffet motif. There’s plenty of parking for motorcycles, pickup trucks, and everyone else; and then you mosey on around behind the house to where they have the bar and the large covered patio. The picnic tables are covered by thatched roof huts, and there’s a wooden roof over the bar area. Most of the home has been converted into a commercial kitchen and storage space, so just plan to sit outside, have a cold drink, and relax. We were there for lunch and there was a nice breeze in addition to the big fans that they had blowing across the patio. Bring your pets because dogs are welcomed on the outdoor patio. During the day they play 70s classic rock and country music, and at night they have a covered stage for the house bands. The crowd definitely picks up at night for the live music and the dancing. During the day it was a bit quieter. We split an order of their chicken wings which was the entire wing, cooked until extra crispy, and then drizzled with their house barbeque sauce. Very meaty and quite tasty. For my entrée I had their beef brisket platter with 2 sides(mac & cheese and wasbai mashed potatoes). The beef was very tender and moist, sliced thinly, and also drizzled with their house barbeque sauce. On the menu they have a lot of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, salads, Mexican favorites, seafood, and even sushi. They had quite a few vegetarian options including a portabella sandwich and a veggie burger. There’s a big selection of cold beer, and the locals were super friendly. Highly recommend this place for a Saturday afternoon getaway from the city!

I came here after browsing a random review on Unilocal.Being relatively close to where I live we decided to give it a shot. We came up Gunn Highway but we passed it. It’s doesn’t exactly stick out. It’s a refurbished house with a Key West motif. In the middle of Gunn Highway in Odessa. Once you pull in and enter the place, it’s like you are transported to a different place. We sat outside with very colorful painted tables. It is very casual, very informal, and in my opinion fantastic. I like it the atmosphere. A lot. The menu is very varied including BBQ and sushi, so I had to order both. In the name of research for this Unilocal review of course. :) We ordered shrimp dumplings and a shrimp tempura sushi roll for appetizers. My wife ordered the Key West Grilled Platter and I got the pulled pork BBQ platter. My only complaint is that all the food came at once. So when ordering, wait until you get the appetizers before you order the meal. Or not. Faced with a tableful of food we dug in. I posted pictures of the plates. Yum! Everything was great. I was pleasantly surprised by the sushi. And my pulled pork was delicious. My wife enjoyed her plate also. The meat is served on top of the fries, so they got a bit soggy. She said next time she would order the fries on the side. The fact she said«next time» put the final seal of approval on this place. We topped it off with a bread pudding that was also delicious. I have no idea what this place is like on weekends, but I suspect service might suffer a bit when crowded. I don’t like to eat at crowded places for that reason. So as far as out of the way, Key West motif, BBQ/sushi combo restaurants, this is as good as it gets. I highly recommend this place, at least once. You might grow to like it.

Been coming into Tommy’s for about a month now. What a gem! It’s really the only restaurant in the area(middle of Gunn Hwy surrounded by nothing) but its definitely worth the find. You sit outside, enjoy cold beer, the food is surprisingly delicious and not what you’d expect(I expected bar food and got Fresh seafood and, bar-b-q???) all of which was excellent! Highly recommend it…
