Sid & Sams Original Steakhouse

I love their hamburgers! I think there the best in town! If you like steak fingers you will love their’s. I have not tasted any better than this place and you will never be satisfied with any other steak fingers again.

We come once or twice a week. Haven’t been disappointed yet. The cost is reasonable. The fried mushrooms are a favorite.

Went again on Friday. I am proud to say that the issues I had notated previously were nonexistent this time. Good service, hot potato, warm rolls and a good looking salad bar. My entire party were pleased in their meals, and service. If they keep up with this level of dining satisfaction I will return often.
Any restaurant can live to be a hundred if they will stay consistent. Consistent food, and service are paramount. The décor sets the tone, clean well maintained speaks to great food and dirty and or neglected décor tells you right off don’t go any further. Sid & Sams was hitting on all cylinders Friday and I am pleased to report the improvement.

I love this place. I like to sit in the back by the bar where smoking area is. It’s close to the salad bar and I’ve found I get better service from the bartender. I don’t know what seasoning they use on their steaks but I wish they’d sell it to me because it’s delicious. Even though my home cooked steaks would never be as good anyway :) the jalapeño wonton shrimp thingies are sooooo good my mouth is watering right now thinking about them! The bacon chicken BBQ poppers are also good. Order them both for apps and dip that chicken in the sauce they give you for the wontons! Yup! If they still have the same staff one of their bartenders can whip up the best dirty martini I’ve ever had but the others do a fine job as well. Don’t get too full on the salad bar unless you just want to take all that yummy food home in a box and eat it later but don’t do that to that steak now because steak is never good reheated… unless of course you have a few too many of those fabulous martinis in which case drunk people will eat anything :)

Best Burgers in town. They also have very good steak, but the burgers are awesome.

A little salt goes a LONG way and let’s just say nothing was seasoned. My steak was bland. My son’s chicken bites didn’t taste like anything. I went to get some salad from the salad bar, but the lettuce was brown. For as high as their compared to other steak houses, you think the food would be that much better. Very disappointed.

Delicious steaks! Well worth the couple extra miles off the freeway for a good sit-​down meal on the long stretch from El Paso to Fort Worth!

Good food but:
1) Sucks they say us all alone in a room staring at nothing, like I brought a bunch of fat girls they wanted to hide in a closet.
2) the waitress continued to sweep the damn floors during our meal and servers drinks and food. I guess she was bored.
3) as we are having a salad we hear another waitress discussing her crystal meth techniques in the bar. Classy Odessa real classy.
For a first timer I was NOT at all impressed! Get it together man!

A very rustic, west texas atmosphere. Wasn’t sure I would like the place, there was trash blowing around outside the doors. Once we were seated our waitress was with us immediately, and was great throughout the meal. Our steaks were excellent, cooked to order, one of the best I’ve ever had. The salad bar was also very good and the prices reasonable as well. We will certainly go back and take guests! I’d give it 5 stars if the outside was cleaned up.

The steak was excellent. The service was OK. The price was OK. The atmosphere was rustic and spartan. This was a west TEXAS type dining experience. Some of the best steak I’ve ever had!

bad… went years ago and never returned. steak (ribeye) quality was poor… lots of gristle, overly salty. salad, sides were okay. glad i was there on business and did not have to pay. located in a strip mall, off West County Rd in odessa, with typical W. Texas steakhouse atmosphere. MUCH better steaks can be had at Wall Street Grill in midland, if you have time for the drive.
