This place is now closed due to owner passing. It was truly an amazing restaurant though.

Arthur Ray’s lost some of it’s atmosphere when they moved out of the run down shack they were in but they have a nice new location and the food is still the same and you won’t find better southern cooking than here. Eat your greens or Arthur Ray will scold you and if you get the yams you won’t need the cobbler. The secret to true southern cooking is pig fat and sugar and there is plenty of both in most of the offerings. Be sure to get the cornbread. They used to only be open for lunch and when the food ran out right after noon that was it. Not sure of their new hours but go early just in case. You will always leave here stuffed.
