Silver Nails

Im getting a mani pedi as I write this! The nile filing could be towned down if possible because ive got sensitivity on my nails. This is so much fun. Im doing this as a daughter mothet experience. They are very nice they have cookies caramels coffee and a bunch of other nice treats! :)

Average service — not great for the price. I got a shellac manicure and was planning on getting a pedicure too, but they wouldn’t give me a deal for getting both, so I just stuck with a manicure.
About 10 minutes into my manicure, a massive swarm of 10-​year old girls and one disheveled mother (I’m assuming it was a birthday party) came into the salon and it was absolute chaos. I don’t think they had a reservation either, as the entire staff looked very overwhelmed after they arrived. Of course, they were demanding immediate service and there wasn’t enough staff to accommodate them. Getting my nails done is always something I do when I want to treat myself and relax, but it was a very loud atmosphere with these girls yelling and running around.
The man doing my nails ended up rushing through the whole thing to service these young girls and my shellac coat had very visible bubbles on several nails. About 3 – 4 days after the manicure, the shellac started to get large cracks on several nails and chipped on one nail, which has never happened to me before (I should have taken a picture!). I probably won’t go back, as there are several other places to get your nails done in Oconomowoc.

I got a pedicure and manicure and was extremely pleased with both. I didn’t see different options for either, other than shellac or regular polish. The lady that did my nails was very professional. I prefer rounded nails and that’s exactly what I got. I would definitely come here again if I happen to be back in the area.

I used to love going to Silver Nails and always left happy. Most of the nail techs are amazing and have a lot of experience and rarely do you have to wait. I have been a customer for over 5 years. In the past two years I have had several bad experiences. At times I walk in the door and explain what I want or ask if it is possible. The owner always says that it is and I don’t think she relays on what you even want. I have also ran in to see if there was an opening and she says «yes go sit in # 4» and you sit there forever and ever because she doesn’t want you to leave. I have had my nails ruined two times in the past year. I was told that acrylic nails once grown out could be removed once your nails were long underneath. Not with the way they drill the nail down to the nail bed. I had a painful experience sitting there as one person was on each hand prying off my acrylic nails under a gen manicure without soaking them. I was in so much pain as my nails were ripped off. Most bad experiences I have had are with Thomas. He seems very arrogant yet is the only person that makes my nails look like crap. Under the French gel manicure you can see the curved lines of the layers of the acrylic that was placed on each time I had a fill. He also spends half the time on his cell phone making the manicure take twice as long. His pedicures take forever too because he pauses to have conversations with people or to check his cell phone. I told myself I would never go back but always go back because of the convenience and so I just roll the dice on the quality. As a different review said no matter what it seems that your nails end up squared. I usually enjoy pedicures as well but at times they are a bit painful.
For gel manicures go for it, acrylic nails roll the dice, pedicures are usually good, and I know that they do eyelash extensions now which I am curious about but don’t want to lose all of my eyelashes either:)

They did a great job on my pedicure, but I was not expecting to drop almost $ 50 on 1 pedicure. I would want to do some more research on nail salons in the area to find out if this is the normal price range here, as I’m used to spending about $ 25 per pedicure in my hometown. I did appreciate how they took their time and didn’t inflict pain on my feet, it was a very relaxing experience… Just expensive!

I went in last week with my mother and sister. Service was very quick, we didn’t have to wait at all — keep in mind I went early morning on a weekday, not sure how busy they get on the weekends.
They had several colors to choose from in both regular and shellack.
The pedicure was great. I was very pleased with the service. They took their time and I didn’t feel like my nail tech was rushing through it at all.
The manicure I received was terrible. Most of these salons do great fake nail manicures, but I do not think my nail tech worked with real nails very much. My nails were uneven, very square (which I do not like), and she didn’t even fix the crack in my nail. I was very disappointed.
When we left we were charged $ 115 for three manicures and two pedicures, none of us got shellac. According to their price list this was almost 40 over what we expected to be charged. They never told us why it was so high.
I enjoyed the pedicure, but would not return simply for that. I am still in search of a good salon that does both natural nail manicures and pedicures.

The people here are the nicest in the world and do a great job. I as a man feel comfortable in this place unlike many nail salons that make you feel like you are in the wrong place. It is very clean and sanitary.

Staff was very friendly, the facility was clean, price was right & I was thrilled with my Mani/​Pedi. I will definitely go back when I’m back in the area.

For a walk in Salon, this is one of my faves. People are nice, the massage chairs are powerful, and I never feel rushed. Plus, there are cookies!
