Came in for a quick lunch. The staff was awfully boring. The hibachi Lunch special was enough food for the price but there were no vegetables in the fried rice, the vegetables were too salty and the steak, overlooked. Regardless, it’s cheap, it’s fast, it’s a quick lunch.

We were in the mood for hibachi and the place we normally go to nearby has just gone downhill lately so we found this place online and decided to give it a shot. From the outside it doesn’t look like much, but we were immediately welcomed upon walking in by the friendly staff and sat right away. Service overall was very attentive, we didn’t have to wait long at all for food and our drinks never got low. Show was your typical hibachi show, prices on the food were very reasonable but we felt the food wasn’t quite as good as we’ve come to expect from most hibachi places. Not to say it was a bad meal, just nothing I’d rush back for, average at best. The experience overall was good, but we came away feeling we’d rather spend just a bit more somewhere else to get a better meal.

Had a friend in town, was looking for a sushi-fix and we decided to try it out. Not too bad, good atmosphere, very causal. We only ordered sushi(no Hibachi or kitchen entrees) and it was pretty good. They have a great 3-roll combo for only $ 15.95 with a choice of soup. However I was a little disappointed that my appetizer was never brought out. Not sure if our server forgot or if the kitchen just didn’t make it. But otherwise, pretty good restaurant for some sushi!

Our experience at this establishment tonight was sub par at very best. My girlfriend and i are hibachi veterans and love the entertainment as well as the cuisine. Both of these factors were missing in tonight’s experience. In order to try and save you time, i will place the issues that i had with this venue into a list instead of a full blown essay. For a «too long, didn’t read“version just read the headers. 1. The Atmosphere: non existent. We arrived at this restaurant at around 8 – 8:30pm, which is 2 hours before their closing time and yet the second you stepped in the door you felt as if they were trying to rush you right back out. The place was deserted and there was no music playing at the hibachi tables. All you could hear was the employee vacuuming on the other side of a half-tall wall and the two employees scrubbing the other three tables(there were only 4 tables in our room). It really made you feel like you were that butt that walked in 5 minutes before closing. 2.The Food: «OK» is being nice about it. For a hibachi restaurant, the portions were quite small, but that was not the worst of it. The fried rice had 0 vegetables and was burnt. The noodles were over cooked prior to reaching the hibachi stove and so they ended up very mushy and lacking in flavor. I swear to goodness that their«white sauce», that hibachi restaurants are usually well known for, was nothing more than mayo and ketchup mixed together with a little bit of onion powder. My steak was over cooked. I ordered medium and there was not even the slightest hint of pink in my steak. The menu clearly states that EVERY dinner hibachi comes with a shrimp appetizer, but not a single piece of shrimp touched the plate of anyone unless shrimp was ordered specifically as a part of their entrée. My girlfriend ordered the teriyaki chicken as her entrée but NEVERRECEIVEDANYCHICKENATALL. Its not that they mixed up her order and gave her shrimp or steak instead, she just never recieved any entrée what so ever, so we had to share mine. 3. The Staff: understaffed/cold. Their hostess was very cold. My girlfriend and i walked in and asked for a hibachi table, the hostess convinces the other couple waiting in the lobby to join us at a table and then just walks down the hall way. We eventually caught on that we were supposed to follow but there were no friendly instructions, no way for us to know if she was checking on the availability of tables or actually trying to show us where to sit. I think our server was the only one working on our section of the restaurant because when he was not re-filling drinks or taking away dishes he could be seen cleaning. It turned out it was actually the server’s fault that my girlfriend never recieved any entrée. He never entered it into the PoS and therefore the chef at our table never knew that i had ordered anything to begin with. But, i do not believe that this was entirely the poor server’s fault, he was perfectly sweet and attentive in every other aspect. I believe it was because he had so many other responsibilities, thanks to being understaffed, that he was not able to really focus on the guests. 4. The Entertainment: boring This may have been the fault of the family of 5 that took up the majority of our table(they were best described as rocks), but after chef made the first joke and only i and my girlfriend giggled at, he essentially gave up on trying to entertain at all. The entertainment is the reason you get a hibachi table instead of just taking the food to go or eating it at the bar, but this was far from entertaining. 5. The Price: Spend the extra gas money and go somewhere else. Thats really all i have to say about the price. Go somewhere you will actually enjoy the food you are eating and have a full show. I very rarely write bad reviews on restaurants, as i like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but unless they(mostly managers and owners) make some serious changes to this place i will not be visiting this establishment any time soon. And quite frankly, neither should anyone else.

Been coming here occasionally for the past several years. Mostly for lunch when I have a sushi craving. Sushi places are hard to find around here so this isn’t bad if you don’t want to drive far. Is it the best? no. Is it bad? no. it’s pretty average and I feel very safe about the quality of the fish. Hibachi grill lunch specials are cheap and I think very good. No noodles here, if that’s what you’re used to. I never sit at the hibachi grill because that’s not my thing so I can’t really rate that. Owners are very nice and accommodating. services is average, not outstanding, not bad. if your looking for a safe bet with decent quality, taste, and service this is a good place to try. Atmosphere is just okay. I would not come here for a romantic dinner or night out with friends.

Ordered from here after a few recommendations, heard they’re usually good. I ordered the teriyaki hibachi which, disclaimer to be, does not have any teriyaki sauce. So if you’re looking for a saucy tasteful dish, I suggest ordering from the regular rice menu. We ordered about 3 trays of the hibachi dinner. It includes: bland salty chicken, about 5 large shrimps(tail on), hibachi veggies with some soy sauce on it, rice, small container of salty miso soup, and small tray of salad with dressing and soy sauce on the side for about $ 16 a meal. We also ordered a Cali roll which was good. Total of $ 58. The hibachi dinners however were horrible in all of our opinions(about four of us shared these dishes). Needless to say I called the restaurant after and informed them of this. The lady at the desk named Amy, whom I met prior was not very nice, she has quite the attitude. After telling Amy that I wanted a refund or exchange or something for all these trays of food which we didn’t eat — she negotiated a bit saying we should have come back as soon as we got the food to fix it. We agreed I’d bring the food back for them to swap out. Thankfully Amy did not inform that they would be closed for the next 2.5 hours(sarcasm), so I showed up to find the restaurant locked. Later I went back, super agitated at this point, to find one of their delightful chefs. He was more than happy to refund me all the money for the trays that were left unconsumed. He also provided a tray of fresh teriyaki chicken with lots of sauce to correct their mistakes. He was very friendly and at least now I can say I would still consider trying them again.

If I could give them a negative rating I would. So I have been a customer here for years now, and even though their food is not the best, I like the service I usually get so I continue to go there. But after today’s experience I will never step foot or recommend that any goes there to waste your money. The food here has never been good. It’s decent, but not good.(Hibachi) today I order take out and specifically request extra extra white sauce. And instead I get two tiny containers which have maybe 7 – 10 drops of white sauce in each. So I call to complain and request a refund and the owner starts coming up with excuses right away. Instead of apologizing and trying to fix the problem she blames her workers, which I find extremely unprofessional because as the owner she should not be playing this blaming game. Then she start yelling at me and denying me my refund. I told her I would take he food back and she just continued to yell at me like a child. Now even though I have had many decent memories here with the male owner, this woman can NEVER do anything right. She has horrible customer service and should not be working up front or in the business at all. She does not respect her customers and just wants your money. So I would not go here if you want good food and to be treated like a human. Instead just go to kobes, at least they know professionalism and I’ll rather pay more to be please than pay a little less and treated like crap.

If you’re here and want hibachi ask for uncle Jim. He’s awesome. The only bad part of my visit was that he wasn’t our chef. While entertaining another table he even got us involved, trying to get us to catch food that he threw to us from across the room. It was very fun. Our chef seemed like he just wanted to get out of there. Most of our food was still great, except for the lobster I ordered. It was so over cooked that I had to spit it out. When I was able to tell my server he immediately grabbed uncle Jim who made me a brand new lobster tail, explained what went wrong, how the grill works, and even made sure to give us a little flare. My slight annoyance about our chef vanished, and I can’t wait to go back and ask to sit at uncle Jim’s table. Our server was also way friendlier and more personal than the servers at other Japanese steak houses. I wish I could remember his name, he was great

The service is so bad that the food is not worth it. Every time we went the server was new. On the last visit, the lady who hosts, was so incredibly rude that I understood why there is never the same server(usually only one for the front room to cover all tables). We have been going almost every week because its close to our house and the sushi is good. But never more. There are many good sushi places. They need to learn how to treat they guests first. I’ll never go back there again.

Dropped by here for a late lunch after visiting Once Upon a Child(right next door) with the family. Not having any expectations about the restaurant, my wife and I were both pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here for very reasonable prices. I enjoyed the sushi lunch special — three rolls and miso soup for $ 15.95. My wife had the steak and shrimp lunch special, and she received an onion soup(surprisingly good), house salad, and fried rice with veggies. Hers was listed under the hibachi section, so not surprisingly it was very fresh. The food came out quickly as well. Add to this the understanding from the staff for our infant being fussy while we ate, and we couldn’t have been more pleased by our visit.(Yes, he seemed a bit annoyed by the stroller in the way and by the sporadic crying; I certainly can’t fault him for that.) Definitely recommend this hidden gem in Ocoee.

This was a great find coming back from an exhausting day at Disney parks. I love sushi and try to eat it as often as I can afford, and this place more that satisfied my craving. The sushi was very inexpensive but is high on my list for quality and taste. The $ 14.95 dinner for 3 full sized rolls and a miso soup was an insane deal that cannot be beaten. The bathrooms and restaurant weren’t super clean, however this didn’t hurt the experience. The sushi chef cleaned his workspace between orders though. The service was great! I’d come back any day!

I’ve lived in Ocoee for three years now, and I’ve been going to Ginza at least once a month ever since. This is not because of a lack of other hibachi or sushi places(I’ve tried Kobe, CrazyFish, and others in the Orlando area), but because I truly think of Ginza as the best Japanese steakhouse around. I have never had a problem with their service. The servers are always friendly and helpful, they refill drinks quickly, and they tend to remember my order most of the time, which is an added plus! The hibachi chefs are super and they always give a good show. I have never had bad food here, either; I LOVE their fried rice! My one and only suggestion would be to add a little more ambient lighting, as it’s pretty dark inside. But overall, this place is excellent, and their hibachi special is a lot of food for a great price! P. S. If you happen to be allergic to shellfish like I am, they will let you substitute extra chicken for the shrimp portion of the dinner special. :)

Mediocre service, okay food. Prices are reasonable but of course that means a lack of quality on some of the meats. When I arrived we were greeted by a rude hostess then to be served by a very impatient waitress. The chef, however, was very nice and funny. Not sure if I would return.

Do you crave excellent sushi? Well look no further! Tucked away in the corner of an average shopping plaza is a diamond in the rough. The ambiance is complimented by music and a friendly staff. The sushi /sashimi menu is top shelf and the«teppanyaki»(habachi) grill in the rear rivals that of Kobe and Benihana without the expensive tab. I highly recommend the«unbelievable» roll because the taste, well its simply unbelievable! The lunch menu won’t break your wallet and there is a full stomach to be found under $ 20. I also order pickup sushi quite often. This spot is a hit among the Ocoee locals but we surely would encourage outsiders to check out our local treasure. Don’t tarry or doddle when in the mood for Japanese fare. Get you butt to Ginza!

Inconspicuous little Sushi/Hibachi place tucked away in a strip mall. This place is just okay, probably a 2.5 but I rounded up. The décor is uninspiring and the place needs some updating. Long entrance hallway is poorly done and I’ve been sat at a table that wobbles more than once. The food isn’t bad, but don’t expect to be blown away, and the prices are decent. I’ve only been for lunch(they do have some okay lunch specials). It never is crowded, one or two other tables at most. The service is spotty and I feel as if they have a high turnover rate with their servers. Give it a shot but don’t have high hopes, I mostly come back because it’s convenient.

Ginza Japanese Steakhouse is often our go to place when we have out of town guests and we want to dine outside of the theme parks. There is something for everyone. One of the very few places we tend to stray from our mostly all veggie diet and order the steak or chicken and we often take advantage of the lunch or early bird dinner specials. This particular visit we stopped in for lunch at the hibachi. For $ 8.95 Chad ordered the lunch special. Choice of two meats: chicken, steak or shrimp plus soup, salad, fried rive and vegetables. He chose the chicken and steak and got a lot of food. I ordered the shrimp and scallop lunch for $ 11.25 which also included the soup, salad, rice and vegetables. We have always loved the soup and salad. It gets served immediately so you do not have to wait long to begin eating. The ginger dressing on the salad is one of my favorites even though I am not a big fan of ginger. Somehow, what they blend together makes this so creamy and tangy. I found out that they also sell a quart of the dressing for $ 5 too. Good to know. I had also ordered the soft shell crab appetizer. It was very good but small for the $ 9.95 price. I was promised two pieces and it was actually just two halves of a very small crab. I won’t make that mistake again though it was good. Just not as meaty as other soft shell dishes I have had elsewhere. As we enjoyed our appetizers it was time for the show. This was the first time it was just the two of us at a Hibachi table which was nice. Our Hibachi Teppanyaki Chef certainly kept us entertained. Ginza volcano He turned the onions into a fiery volcano(often a staple at the Hibachi table), performed tricks with the knives and tossed an egg into the air collapsing it onto the hot grill before promptly removing all of the shell(that is always impressive to me how the shell doesn’t shatter into a million pieces.) Perhaps one of the reasons we like Ginza is the fact that they do not use nearly the large amount of butter as some of the other Hibachi places do. My only complaint is our Chef used a little too much oil on the noodles(we ordered noodles on the side for an additional $ 2.50) and I could just real taste it. Other than that, everything else was perfect as always. Chad’s meat was cooked and seasoned perfectly, my shrimp and scallops were perfectly seared. And as usual, I was given way too much food so I had plenty of leftovers to take to work for lunch the next day. As typical in a Hibachi restaurant, the meal is accompanied with a ginger sauce and a white sauce(I have tried to find out what goes into making the white sauce but I am just told it is simply white sauce– maybe I don’t want to know what is in it– all I know it is really good.) However, if you come for lunch call ahead for the hours. They are typically closed from 2:30−5pm on the weekdays. They also serve sushi in a separate room. You can also sit at a table in the sushi bar and order from the hibachi menu where your food will be prepared in the kitchen, though for us watching the cooking show is part of the fun. There is also a sister location on Colonial in the Mills 50 district.
