Voo Doo Freeze Shave Ice

This place was ok as far as taste but the lady running the stand is extremely slow and doesn’t even know the prices of her own stuff. They were out of one size of their cups but she didn’t seem to know which size she was out of and was just charging everyone for the large size. But my real problem was that she was charging me for than a large size, even if she was charging my for 2 largest of what we ordered it shouldn’t been $ 11.50 and she was trying to run my card for $ 12.50 and then when I brought it up she wanted to argue with me about it. If it costs $ 12.50 then make your prices on the board reflect that. This is a shady/​scammer business I wouldn’t come back. My brother was there the day before and was charged a lot less for the same items.

This place is amazing, I live pretty far from this place but is so worth the trip! The dip n dots are my favorite. If you are around the area you have to try this place out! You will not regret it.

Came back and hallelujah they were open! My family and I enjoyed our shaved ice. Customer service was very accommodating as well.

I’ve been saying forever that we need a shaved ice place in Oceanside. When I found Voodoo I was so excited. The prices are great, the flavors are delicious, and the staff is friendly. My kids love it! Perfect treat during that summer!

Absolute FIVE stars!!! I’ve had a lot of shaved ice living in San Diego, but this is by far the best place I’ve ever gone. The flavors are amazing and the service is awesome!!! They always have a smile on their face and the pricing is the best around, especially considering the serving sizes. My kids love going there as well… Highly recommend for the whole family. Check them out!

I was visiting my parents up in Carlsbad and decided to grab some lunch in Oceanside. While we were driving through town, we spotted this little gem. Having lived in Hawaii and shave ice being one of my Dad’s favorite desert, we decided to stop by not having read any reviews at all.
We sure are glad we stopped. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman named Ricky. He’s the proprietor of this little place and had a very warm and inviting personality. Needless to say, the service was excellent.
My Mom decided to just stick with the cookies ‘n cream dipping dots which were very tasty. My Dad had some weird concoction shave ice and I decided to keep it Hawaiian and go with passion fruit, blueberry and cherry.
The spoons that come with the shave ice are really cool too. They actually change color to a blue when it get cold. What a creative addition to an already unique place.
I definitely give five-​stars to Voo Doo Freeze. Now I have a place to bring back my memories of Hawaii when I’m up in the area.

Yummmm! Such a refreshing treat on the beach!!! Such an adorable shop lots of flavors to choose from or even mix together, and the friendliest staff ever. Patient when I’m feeling indecisive. Can I add… I love the color changing spoons too!!!

i went to Voodo shaved ice in Oceanside last week, that has to be the best shave ice ever… So many different flavored. And they have dipping dots. I thought you could only get those Mexican candys, cherry bombs in TJ. Nope, they have them also… you have to go there, it’s worth the 3

This place is a must go to!!! Mangonada is AMAZING they actually put mango chunks in it but the best part is the dipping dots it has in it! They also have a red and green chamoy that taste good! Definitely taking my family every weekend

FINALLY a great shaved ice place here in north county ! I found voodoo freeze because the hubby and I eat at oceanside phở quite a bit. I’ve been 2 times and both were delicious and amazing customer service ! The owner, I feel awful I don’t remember her name, is so nice and accommodating — she even remembered me when I went back today. The ice is perfect, fluffy & soft — not that chunky stuff ! They have a HUGE flavor selection, candies & Dippin dots. I usually get passion fruit and child hood fave tigers blood soo good. I noticed today that they have a menu with different flavors mixed for cool, I’m sure delicious combos will be trying next time. Today I got a tamarind straw & she let me sample another Mexican candy on the house; delicious & again great customer service. Another plus is the ice blocks they use are carlsbad alkaline water — she told me — and it’s very pure and has a great clean taste.
Do yourself a favor and check them out; support a local business — you won’t be disappointed! This is my new craving spot & it’s on point. Legit Hawaiian style shaved ice what more could you want ??

Hot diggity! I just found and tried this place on recommendation from a friend… I tried the Cookie Monster and oh boy !!! Deeelish! It had dippin dots and it just melted into a puddle of sheer ecstasy in my mouth. So different than anything I’ve had before. I have tried other shave ices but this clearly sets the bar! The owners were wonderful, jolly folks as well. Like the terminator said, «I’ll be BACK!»

If you need a cool treat — stop by VooDoo shaved ice in Oceanside. The staff was great and with the variety offered, we all were able to get just what we wanted.

I was recently in Oceanside enjoying the day when I came upon Voo Doo Freeze. Kasey was there and made me the most delicious treat. It was called the Cookie Monster and had dipping dots at the bottom. She was so friendly and had lots of recommendations since my first experience with Voo Doo Freeze. Best shaved ice I’ve had and will be back for sure! If your in or near Oceanside I highly recommend paying them a visit!!!

I tried voodoo freeze on my way to the beach in Oceanside. It’s a family owned business and they are super friendly. The choices are very plentiful as far as the menu is concerned. My son had a cherry and bubblegum shave ice with a sour punch candy stick in it along with a squirt of this spray to make it sour!!! He was obsessed with this spray and wants to buy it now! I opted for their special shave ice which was the tamarindo and mango with tarjin on it and the candy tamarindo straw. It was excellent!!! The perfect mix between spicy and sweet. I definitely recommend this business especially on a beautiful Oceanside beach day. Great people.
