Good food for the price. The BBQ dishes are good, the Ramen not so much.

The first time I went to this place, they got my order wrong. I called and they promised they would make it right on my next order. My second time I called in to order, they had no record of my first time and claimed I was wrong and they had no notes so they can’t help me. The third time was yesterday, I placed an order to go based on their online menu. When I picked up, the price was higher and the lady said«yeah sorry we changed prices yesterday and online hasn’t been updated.» This will be the last time I eat here unless the owner or manager makes it right. I’m a pretty reasonable person but 3 tries and each time the experience has been awful. Improve your customer service or I’m sure more people will never return.

I love Teri Café! They have great sushi rolls, yakisoba, teriyaki chicken, fried rice, and my personal favorite– the beef udon! I seriously get the udon every time I go. It’s flavorful and is seriously so much food. The only reasons I didn’t give 5 stars are these: it can sometimes be a little tough to find a seat during busy hours(lunch and dinner peaks), and the kids working the register can be a bit unwelcoming or come off as arrogant. Overall great place!

My favorite go to «fast food» place. Always fresh and many options to choose from depending what you’re craving! A favorite that has been regularly ordered now by my dad, bro and I is the Oceanside Bowl! It’s a combination of Ahi Tuna with Salmon Poke, the mixed seaweed is just right and topped with avocado pieces! I could eat this everyday is I could afford it daily! Haha the specials are always good and filling! I love the rice it comes with too! If not the Oceanside bowl, other favorites are the Beef & Chicken Teriyaki bowls/plate, the Yakiniku Stir Fry Beef, mixed tempura and the Banzai Ramen! You can always call ahead for pick up, this place can get busy when you least expect it and of course during dinner time!

I am super disappointed. My husband and I went there on a Friday night 2÷20÷16 at 7:00 pm And waited in line to order for 15 minutes then waited to be sat for 15 minutes then waited another 30 minutes for our food. My eggs which I ordered extra eggs were cold in my chicken ramen and nobody ever came to check on us to see if we needed more water etc. We them came home and didn’t really feel well. We both woke up super sick to our stomachs and come to find out we both have food poisoning. Something serious has to change with this place. It been declining over the past year. I called to speak to a manager and was told she wasn’t in and didn’t know when she would be in and the girl hung up on me before I even had the chance to finish what I was saying after giving her my phone number so I can get a call back from Management. I have yet to receive a call. Health department is next on my list to call.

I was introduced to the original restaurant back in 2003. even back then, the authenticity, quality and speed of both food and service were unmatched. I am a HUGE sushi fan, and this quickly became my mainstay. I went overseas for a while and when I returned, this new restaurant was up and running. Same great food, same great(yet kinda pricey) prices, and the spread of variety was just as amazing. Food: Katsu Udon with fish cake on it — amazing. Try the rainbow roll, crunchy dragon roll, cucumber roll, you really just can’t go wrong with the sushi here. Restaurant: I hate the parking here. Terrible angle to get at, as you have to come into the plaza off an incline(El Camino Real), curve down to the right and straighten out to enter the driveway, then veer right and down to park off the main road. Its slow moving, tight spaced, and people are awful at getting in and out of there in a timely fashion. But this is a restaurant review. The bar(I havent sat there) seems well lit, and always staffed. The place is clean, and has a view of the sunset you can’t beat. The food alone keeps the 5 stars. If it were about the whole experience from drive in to drive out… that parking lot would lose some cred with me. I have brought, and will continue to bring my family and friends here. Thanks Teri Café! — RTJ

Anyone that has ever grew up or lived in Oceanside knows this is the spot. I’ve been coming to this place for years. I moved away from the area but I make it a point to make a pit stop when im close! The location is much larger and sits way more than the one that use to be across the street by the PlayCo. I can actually sit down and enjoy my meal hear. At the old low rio unwound always take it to go. As far as the good goes, I thinks it’s pretty good. I always go with the #6. It’s the chicken and beef teriyaki with the 2 fried shrimp. It also comes with potato salad and a green salad. The salad dressing is so good that I can drink it with a straw. The meat is always flavorful and tender. I’ve been to teriyaki places and the meat sometimes has a super chat taste to it. That’s never happened to me here. If you’re in the Oceanside area check this place out. I love the variety of food you can get here. Japanese/Hawaiian cuisine is what I’d say they serve. I love that my husband and I can come here and I can have my Japanese sushi fix and he can get his teriyaki chicken. There’s never really a long wait to place an order when I come for lunch and dinner. And if you’re dining in, the food takes no more than 10 minutes to find out. I love that they bring all the food out together. They have a nice variety of bottled Japanese teas that my hubby vouched were the same as what he drank when spending time in Japan. The meals are good sizes. You won’t leave here hungry. I love that they have lunch specials Monday through Friday too! My faves here are the Dragon roll and Udo soup — it has broccoli, zucchini, lettuce, carrots and onions. You also can’t go wrong with any of the teriyaki bowls.

Been enjoying Teri Café since I was a little girl. This is where I 1st got introduced to sushi, and teriyaki chicken! This place is incredible, everything about it. I love getting the lunch and dinner specials, my favorite is the Teriyaki Chicken, Salad, Potato Salad, and my California Roll, with a water. This last time I came everything was even more amazing than the last. I got a Dragon Roll, and it was excellent. Fresh, and well made! :) Will continue to come back! :)

We came here a couple days before Christmas. It was busy but they helped us find two tables together for our large party. The food is reasonably priced for the amount you get. The veggie tempura comes with miso soup, rice and salad if you get the platter. They didn’t complain when we stayed later to catch up.

Teri Café is a cool spot and I always want to go here when I visit Oceanside. It’s like a Japanese/Hawaiian fusion place that serves sushi, ramen, and their rice bowls and plates with their well known beef and chicken terikayi. The place has a beach hut vibe which is nice. You order your food first and then pick a table to seat at. If you’re a person that wants to be waited on and served, this isn’t really the place. They bring you your food and then kind of disappear. You have to wave someone down if you need anything, so that’s something to keep in mind. On my latest visit, my bf and I ordered their beef teri and shrimp plate that comes with rice, miso soup, salad, and potato salad. I was pretty disappointed that my beef teriyaki was so dry and tough. It was like they overcooked the heck out of that piece of meat. Thankfully there was a decent amount of teriyaki sauce to soften it up. On my past visit, this wasn’t the case and my beef was nice and juicy. This inconsistency is disappointing which is the reason for the star off. Their rice plates and bowls are solid and will definitely fill you up. I enjoy their rice and the salad that comes along with it and their miso soup is one of the better ones I’ve had. We also tried their spicy miso ramen and this was probably the best ramen I’ve had in awhile. I’ve had my share of basic ramen but this one was super flavorful and the broth was thick. I was really impressed and also appreciated that their spicy ramen wasn’t overwhelmingly spicy. I definitely recommend their ramen and it’s so inexpensive too. We also tried their jalapeño bombs and yes indeed they are bomb. It’s like sushi but without all the added rice. Still love this place despite my dry meat experience and would recommend everybody to check it out when coming to Oceanside.

Consistently delicious food at affordable prices. Most items fall under 10 dollars but the quality of the food match items that cost 20 plus. The teriyaki is the best in the county; actually the best I’ve ever had so I highly recommend the teriyaki. On this recent trip I gave the ramen a try, specifically the spicy miso, and I have to say, easily one of the better tasting ramen that I’ve had. The ramen cost about 7.50 before tax, at such a low price it was much better than most ramen places that I’ve tried in the Bay Area which cost about 11 dollars per bowl. The broth was deep in flavor and the right amount of spice. The pork was tender, and the egg was perfectly cooked. 8⁄10

I wasn’t too fond of Teri’s café when I first moved to Oceanside because I usually got the beef bowl or plate before. Until one day. my good friend Rene instagramed the Oceanside bowl and it looks so good that I had to go try it. The Oceanside bowl is a poke bowl that has salmon, ahi tuna, sushi rice, avocado, and seaweed salad(my fav). It is served with ponzu sauce, which I usually just pour all over. Seriously my go-to at Teri’s. I’ve also tried the spicy miso ramen and the beef udon. They’re good, but not the best I’ve had. Best spicy miso ramen I’ve had is Santouka ramen! Anyways, check out the Oceanside bowl next time you’re here. It won’t disappoint :)

Went for lunch today and had the spicy miso with chicken and the Hawaiian roll. My friend had the tonktsu and a crunchy roll. The spicy miso was amazing. The sushi roll was bland. I won’t be grabbing it next time. The total came out to $ 18.35 for the soup and«special roll» bit much for lunch but next I go I will know soup is filling enough. The location is on a hill top with a great view of the hills. Almost every seat has a great view! I will definitely be coming back.

This location is newer for me. They used to be across the street(closer to the Target) but for whatever reason, they moved. Thankfully, they still have the same delicious food. It’s one of my fav lunch spots to go to! It never disappoints! There are currently two locations in the Oceanside/Vista area. I recommend the teriyaki beef plate. And be sure to ask for a little extra dressing on the side… they tend to only give you a tiny bit on your salad.

They have a great selection of Japanese fusion food. I mostly come for the piping hot ramen but their sushi and teriyaki is good too. My go to order is the banzai ramen. I nice veggie medley of corn, squash, bean sprouts, bell peppers, bok choy and grilled chicken*. The broth is loaded with flavor and tender ramen noodle. Squirt some siracha up on thuur and call it a day. Only $ 7.50 *the chicken is white and dark meat so if you’re not down with the dark meat you should make sure to customize your order. Dropped down to 4 stars cause the service is a bit lacking. Its the place your order at the register, sit with a number style dining. Once you’ve received your food they rarely come around to ask if you want a refill and the drink station isn’t self serve. At least 3 people walked by my empty cup and no one offered a refill, I had to ask. Its like this every time I come.

This place is what made me love sushi, and now I can’t have any other because I love theirs so much! They chicken teriyaki bowl is my go to favorite, and personally I think it’s the best ever. Their sushi is yummy too– aloha roll, shrimp tempura, TC, etc! You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! Service is great– you don’t have a server but order at the counter and they bring your food to you. They refill drinks, bring napkins, silverware! This location can get busy(well, both actually) for dinner, so arrive around 5ish for an early dinner and to beat the rush! Parking can be a beyotch but don’t let that stop you from dining here!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a Japanese Hawaiian place! The restaurant is bigger than I first thought. There’s a bar area up front and then a larger seating area with nice views of the surrounding mountains(super nice for a non-California native like me). Lots of cute Hawaiian décor. Menu is up front when you come in. Order there and then seat yourself. Menu was pretty big with lots of choices. Lots of rice plates, noodles, ramen, sushi and rice bowls typical of what you would see in a Japanese restaurant. They had a lunch special for each day too. I ordered the chicken teriyaki salad plate. The chicken was very moist with a rich sweet barbecue/teriyaki sauce. Delicious! The salad was some basic greens with a mayonnaise based sauce(I suspect that’s the Hawaiian influence?!?). It was good too. Portion sizes were good. Service was great — ordered and had our food well under 10 minutes. Pricing was good too. Especially the lunch specials and the rice bowls. You could come here with a few friends for lunch and not spend an arm and a leg but have a good meal.

After living in Japan for 4.5 years this place does it right! They have some amazing Japanese meals and options! I come here for lunch and order out for dinner(it gets really busy) It’s nice to order first and then sit down so you don’t have to wait for a server! They are very attentive regardless of time or dine in or Togo, and always have the same amazing quality from store to store! I definitely love this place and would recommend trying it out! Definitely try the Katsu Don Bowl! Bomb!

What’s with this restaurant so crowded inside? What’s with their super big plates? Our family we went on a hot Friday night In line we did have to wait… We got to the counter, ordered our food, Paid, and we got a table While we were waiting, my son got upset Sat outside until he was composure-stable ooh ooh… the green salad was good ooh ooh… the potato salad was fine ooh ooh… but all else they must refine! ew-wee-ew…this is just like Tokyo Lobby ew-wee-ew…except the food and service is poor I can’t believe what the Unilocalers say about here anyway I don’t think it’s all that The salmon I ordered tasted real bad I could only eat a bite-full or two I shoved the big plate to the edge of the table With this dinner I really was through What’s with this server picking a fight?
