Yucky. Terrible service some lady who was taking calls was too busy worrying about something instead of helping me. The food was terrible. I would never come back again. Plus parking is terrible here you have to park on the street. NOT FUN AT ALL

I agree with another reviewer, the staff was a bunch of kids when I went in for take out. Fooling around by the doorway to the kitchen and not customer focused. The place must have been sold. The previous owner ran a nice business and the food was great. I will travel farther and go to the place across from St Agnes Cathedral in RVC!

Tasty food, but too bad the service was so awful. We were given a table and then sat for 15 minutes before we could even get a glass of water and some menus. Food didn’t take too long once we ordered but still, our servers were sitting towards the front of the restaurant chatting w/​friends the whole time and didn’t attend to us unless we got up from our table and literally waved our hands and flagged their attention.
Getting the bill was a very slow and arduous task. It just seemed like they didn’t give a hoot about good service or professionalism. Too bad. Good was good, but not THAT good to put up with such bad customer care. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be back.

Been dining in & ordering for years. Before renovation the food was fabulous and big portions. The place was shabby but quaint. After renovation the place looks crisp and airy. However the portions & quality of food has gone down. Nothing bad but I was spoiled from years past. Still a great place for Greek food. Staff is friendly & attentive. Delivery is a little longer than expected.

The food is very good .It’s nice to have such a good Greek place around. The staff is very good but be prepared for little bit of a wait for your entrée only because of the overwhelming deliveries this place does. It was Saturday night so we enjoy ourselves and were patient .well worth the wait thanks

This was the worst food I have had out in a very long time. Most of it I had to throw in the garbage. The chicken lemon soup was disgusting. I also ordered a Greek appetizer sampler for 2 and all the food looked and tasted like it had been sitting around for weeks. I had to throw the entire thing out. I ordered a shrimp dish with feta cheese tomatoes rice peas and carrots. The peas and carrots were old and tasted horrible. The shrimp was OK and so was the rice. My family member liked her pork sandwich. The two baklavas also toasted old and terrible. I hope we don’t get sick. I would like a refund. I wasted over $ 60.

It seemed like this place would never open again, but it has and right off the bat… it was worth the wait. Stopped by last night with the little woman. Its a little smaller than it was, but now with a bright décor. We didn’t have time to do a full tour of the menu, but what we had was perfect. The hummus was done just right, garnished with tomatoes, olives and onions. We both had slovaki (spelling, sorry), I had the pork and she the chicken… wow wow wow! Prices are still fair, portions till you up and the service fantastic. Great Greek is back in Oceanside.

Taste of Greece is the best Greek restaurant around in long island. It just reopened and was sorely missed. The hummus apetizer is always fresh and plentiful. Their salads are delicious and the gyros are not to be beat. It is my once a week meal whether eating in the restaurant or getting take out.

Best Gyro around. Everything from the sprinkled feta to the perfectly ripe tomatoes. Meat is freshly sliced. The Tzatiki is the best. It tastes homemade not dense like what you get from the diner. Baklava was great, they serve is warm which I like. Can’t wait to go back to try the Kebabs, the table behind me ordered them and they looked great. Very reasonably priced. My gyro with soda was less than 10 bucks.

Meh. My husband like the gyro and fries. I ordered a Greek salad and it was terrible. Just a few slices of tomato and some iceberg lettuce. The lettuce was so saturated with vinegar that I couldn’t even eat it.

went there and the staff was terrible, they were rude, and very slow. i ordered a gyro, french fries, and a spanakopita, the gyro was thin and burned, the french fries were very soggy as if they were sitting in a covered container or bag, and their spanakopita was soggy, and absolutely no taste to it! they should of stayed closed! going back to Eats Greek To Me in baldwin!

The place is much smaller than before and makes it uncomfortable to eat there. The spanakopita was soggy and had no flavor. The dolmades tasted as if they were from a can. The Tzatziki yogurt sauce was some of the worst I have ever tasted. We used to love this place for the food. Maybe they changed chefs after their renovation. We will not be coming back here. If I could I would give them a zero.

Can’t wait for it’s re-​opening! Saw the new signage, so I guess we’ll be going there once again very soon. The former owner, George, made it an institution and the place for Greek food; the current owner, Lou, built on the well deserved reputation. The only thing the other best Greek restaurant, near Winthrop University Hospital, has over Taste of Greece is salmon on the menu. Hopefully, Lou will add this.
