The house always wins. Play long enough, you never change the stakes. The house takes you. Unless, when that perfect hand comes along, you bet and you bet big, then you take the house. Do you remember what we said back when we first got into this business. We said we were gonna play the game like we had nothing to lose? Well, I lost something… I lost someone. That’s why I’m here.

Made the trip to Oceanside last night and got super luck playing blackjack. Just kept pressing my bets and won several hands in a row. Easy to give five stars when you go home with a bunch of cash. I’ll be doing some shopping at Nordstrom’s tomorrow :)

This place is great to grab a drink & a bite to eat. The bartender that is there on Sunday’s is very sweet & accommodating. The server that takes the food orders is on it! Speedy! I recommend this place. Lots of good people watching in the bar area.

The rake here is $ 4 flop $ 1 turn and a $ 1 jackpot drop effectively $ 6/hand. The 2⁄2 and lower games are effectively raked to death every few hours and no one wins long term. Most the staff does not like their job here and the morale has been down ever since the management changed. I recommend playing at seven mile casino instead. Lower rake, much better food, and the employees are infinitely better.

Best poker room in San Diego county and surrounding areas Rakes have gotten expensive at a poker table $ 5+1 in a $ 60 Max game so if somebody playing you doesn’t take your money eventually the casino will drain you with the blinds alone Food is great Love playing here but it’s getting pricey

I used to live with two professional poker players so I’ve been here on a few occasions. This last time, I didn’t want to come but was talked into it. I played some poker and was up $ 50, but gambling makes me nervous so I cashed out and headed to the bar for a much-needed drink. There was a time when the bar was dark and weird, and on weekends occasionally featured a cheesy band that covered terrible music from the late eighties and early nineties. The music was comical or unbearable depending on how you want to look at it, and the bar also had a really outdated trivia machine for people who cannot be entertained only by alcohol. One time, on a random Friday night, I met my friends from Irvine here as a halfway point. We had drinks and played trivia games and thought, «WTF is this place?!» Those were the days. I came back recently, and found the cheesy bar has been significantly upgraded. It like has granite countertops and shit! And nice flat screen TV’s. And the trivia machine has been replaced with off-track horse betting machines. I faced this tragedy by looking on the bright side; I’m sure their beer selection is now much better than it used to be(I had a Delicious IPA by Stone).

We went here for food, not to gamble, late late Christmas night after leaving our family get together, food was amazing! Super surprised, but amazing. The bartender was nice and busy but on it. Totally recommend for late night grub and emergency hunger:)

Ocean’s Eleven is definitely the card room to go to if you are a poker player. No matter what stakes, they have a good assortment and variety which ranges from the daily tournaments to NLHE cash games and PLO cash games. The last time I came here, they were in the process of remodeling and have lots and lots of poker tables available so it should be easy to find a game here almost any time of the day. They have a good range of promotions which allow you to get free meals, cash back, and to be picked for drawings on certain days. One downside I would have to say is that their $ 1 chips are very old and dirty now, and I’m not sure when they’ll change them out for newer chips. Now that I moved, I no longer visit this place due to the commute.

The rake at this casino is so ridiculous it should be illegal. Taking 5+1 out of a $ 60 max buy in game. Not worth it to play here anymore. The rake is eating people alive.

I’ve been playing here since they opened in 1997 and Ocean’s 11 gives you the best of both worlds. You get all the game and stakes selection like one of the mega poker temples in LA, only without all the crappy attitude. Not sure why because it’s the biggest in SD, but Ocean’s really has that friendly small town cardroom feel to it. They also have some of the most generous promotions around: Steady bad-beat jackpots in the $ 20k-$ 30k range Hourly cash drawings on most nights The«Oceans of Cash» long term rake-back program and Free Steak and Lobster on Tuesdays for 3 hrs of play On any given night the food prices are very fair for seated players of any limit. If you’re playing the higher stakes games then your food is free(gratuity not included.) The quality of the food is better than expected for a cardroom, and they wheel it right up to you so you don’t miss a hand. Whether you’re a poker officianado or you’re simply looking to blow off some steam and try your luck, the odds are good you’ll enjoy Ocean’s 11.

I have mixed feelings about this place. This is my third time playing here and I only play Black Jack. The immediate area surrounding the Casino seems a bit seedy but they have security and the place is fenced in. As far as the Black Jack. I’m glad they got rid of the commissions for the dealer, they used to charge $.50 a hand but this might have been due to some gambling law that I know absolutely nothing about. This place is a card house, not a casino, so different laws and no slots, roulette, craps etc. Now instead of charging a commission, they have the option where one of the players can cover the bets for the house and play against the other players. If you decide to do this, you’re instantly the least popular guy at the table, and justifiably so. The DIRT, the last 3 times I’ve been here, I’ve seem the same guy wandering around the Black Jack tables. He looks like he’s drunk and disheveled, but I think that’s his normal look and intentional. He always jumps in on hands with small bets and suddenly forgets how to play. If you spend that much time in a casino, you should know the basics of Black Jack, I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I’ve seen him 3 of 3 times. He takes the bust card, hits when the dealer shows a 5 and he has 17, doesn’t know what to do with 28’s etc. Very Very Fishy. The whole table seemed onto him this time, I pulled my chips every time he sat down, but he only sat down when someone was on a role. I managed to make a few hundred bucks,(the reason for 3 stars) but I doubt I’ll be back. The place is in need of renovating and the walls are still stained from cigarettes. I have never eaten here, although I have been offered a free steak and lobster dinner. They will serve you dinner on a little TV table like what your grandparents probably keep next to the couch.

I am not a gambler but I am a fan of the food they serve. If you’ve had their BLT sliders, let’s all take a moment and thank the genius person who invented this! Yes, BLT — it stands for Bacon, Lobster, Tomato. Yes, I said lobster. They’ve become a pricier($ 6/slider – if I remember correctly. It’s $ 1 off during happy hour) ever since the bar/lounge got a face lift. The new look also seemed to have attracted younger crowds(gambler or not). Not to mention that on Fridays, they have a live DJ playing new and old hiphop. Definitely good for food and drinks even if you’re not a gambler!

So I saw the steak and lobster promotion that happens on Tuesday. I go and check it out. As I walk in, I asked an employee about the promotion. He has no clue about it and points me to some other employee. Each employee directs me to a different employee, none of which knows about it. I asked a waiter, he also doesn’t know about it, at which point a pit boss over hears what I’m talking about. He explained to me that you need a players card and need to sit on tables playing for a total of 3 hours. I told him I was hungry now, and didn’t want to wait 3 hours. He then point me to the sports lounge, where he tells me I can dine there for $ 19.99. So 30 minutes after I first entered the casino, I’m finally directed to the right spot. It only gets worse. After I sit down in an empty dining lounge, no server ever approaches me. Another 20 minutes goes by, still no one. By the way, I’m dress in a professional manner, and here on business meetings. I walk to the bar and ask«what does it take to get service here»? The bar tender, who has seen me seating there this whole time, asked if I needed anything. 5 minutes later, some 80 year old waitress comes to my table. I’m also informed that the meal I was told was $ 19.99, is now $ 39.99. People, save your time and money. This place is a joke! To the manager, please straighten out the circus you have going on at Ocean’s Eleven!

Ocean’s Eleven is a very depressing card room. It’s hardly full other than tournaments and it doesn’t ever seem like fun to go into. It’s the only card room I’ve walked in and questioned whether or not I would even want to ever come back before I even gamble just because my mood is already brought down on what I see. The bright spot here is the food and drinks of all things. It’s nothing spectacular but the prices are good and so is the food. Other than its poker tables, there is a small area for table games. Most aren’t open. Customer service is nearly non-existent and I even had a dealer watch a basketball game rather than deal cards when I had chips in play. Come on now, seriously? I would suggest a complete interior overall of the place to begin with. Add more appealing features and flashy lights. Converting half the place into a strip club probably would get them better business here too. But if anything, please upgrade the customer service. Overall, I’m surprised Ocean’s Eleven is still standing. When you go on a weekend night and it’s not that busy compared to other card rooms, there’s a problem. No reason to venture out of your way for this place.

I just started coming here and enjoy the fact that they have nice cheap blackjack tables although I don’t enjoy that it’s $.50 per hand just to play but I consider it a tip that the dealer will never receive. It is what it is, nice cheap beers but can get a little crowded at night/weekends so enter at own risk.

Table games, good service and cheap food and beers on tap. Count me in! I was never a fan of eating casino food and all that stuff, but this place has definitely changed the way I thought about that. They have a small restaurant/bar on the left as soon as you enter the casino. Immediately you may be greeted or chased down by security to verify you’re of age. No biggie. I sat at the bar and this wonderful filipina lady quickly greeted me and took down my order. I got real lucky that day, because it was happy hour and most of the beers were only $ 4! Score! I ended up plowing through 3 beers before my food arrive. I got the Carnitas bbq Nachos and their Asian dish. Both, were very filling and enough to feed 2 people. Overall, service, pricing and atmosphere was good. Nothing spectacular, but definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area.

Went to this place to watch the ufc pay per view as it was confirmed to be played here. We went in and the place is basically 3 huge open dingy, dodgy feeling rooms with cheap card tables throughout. There are no pokie machines here or any other games than the sit down card games. Even at the tables, the atmosphere was horrible. There is a small bar attached to the front which isn’t much better. It seemed to be full of creepy old men and hookers looking for creepy old men. All the TV’ s around the place we’re playing around 3 different stations in total and there was no volume coming from any of them. The fight did not play there either and no one on the floor knew anything about it. I was excited for a casino and to be honest, I’ve been to better casinos in 3rd world countries that use school desks for there tables. This place was horrible. I recommend having a shower close by if you go here as you will come out of this place feeling dirty. I’m ting to think of something nice to say about it but I have nothing. Oh, they let some guy carry in his own full bottle of wiskey. I suppose that approach might make this place bearable.

No thank you. Seedy little place that depressed me. I enjoy gambling, but this place was small and mostly comprised of the local gambling degenerates. People were rude, stressed out, and impatient. I don’t think anything was clean. I sat and played blackjack for an hour or so. There’s also a bar which serves some small selection of food. The poker room was as big as the rest of the casino; seemed like that’s where most of the people were. If you’re looking for some place to gamble, I would go somewhere else.
