Not as its hyped up to be, and the lady isn’t the nicest either with customer service. Price was little high for tacos as well and the carne Asada was mainly fat not much meat the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is because the salsa was pretty good.

The best tacos!!! Freshly made tortillas!!! Be aware of the long lines on Tuesdays and the super spicy salsa. Read the labels above the salsa to select you desired heat level.

I randomly discovered this place when I was looking for a Mexican place close to 78 and 15 freeway. It’s an excellent and authentic Mexican place with large burritos. I love how they don’t fill up their burritos with rice and have a lot of crunchy bell peppers in them as well. I highly recommend it if you haven’t been to it already.

Fresh tortillas, fresh food and great service! Had a asada, all pastor, carnitas and fish tacos which all were delicious! Favorite taco Tuesday place!

They seem to be sliding down a slippery slope if not spiraling. Counters weren’t bussed, standing waiting to place an order getting surly looks from a guy behind the counter who appeared to be more trying to look busy than actually doing anything while the guy actually doing the cooking is getting swamped because surly guy is lagging. Five minutes of this and finally this lady steps out to take the order without an apology, just an impatient«ready?» and a glare. Look. I know it’s hot, you’re busy. But make an effort and get back to clean, efficient and good tacos. The salsa bar was a wreck, the trash was overflowing and no pineapple with the al pastor. I could forgive the last omission but on top of the crappy attitude and lack of effort it’s pretty egregious when the food lacks. I have loved Los Tacos for years but the crew tonight is blowing it.

Awful service, lady accused me of eating food I didn’t pay for after she brought out the wrong order to our table. After showing her my receipt that clearly stated over $ 30 was spent in this restaurant with my family and we had indeed paid for our chips and guacamole, and we did not order the bean burrito she was accusing us of ordering, there was no apology or anything. Just evil stares the rest of our time there. I’m sorry if you cannot handle the simple task of taking orders, take that up with your management and not the customer. The only plus was that the food was good. So if you’re into being treated poorly but eating well I guess this might be a good choice for you.

This place is AWESOME… Great food, great diversity of food choices. I just wish the place was bigger as it is so popular that the place is always so packed and cramped. I love how they make the food fresh and you can watch them through the glass window, just neat to watch.

We were excited as a family to try taco Tuesday as we’ve eaten here before and it was delicious. When my wife ordered she was NOT told that adding or subtracting anything from their standard tacos would result in the price reverting to the original price per taco. So instead of $ 1.50, adding cheese brings it to $ 2.25 + .40¢. Even asking for no cilantro made the taco $ 2.25. While this was disappointing had already paid and were told there was nothing that could be done as the tacos were already being made. When we got home and opened the box, there was cilantro on all of the tacos. As if they purposely made a point to add it despite the request to omit it. I am allergic to cilantro so we had to drive back to the shop and the cashier began arguing with the wife. They finally refunded our money but only after wasting over an hour of our night. This will be the last time we eat here until they replace their help at the front. This could all have been avoided with friendly customer service from the cashier.

Ate here with my family on the weekend. First time. My wife and I ordered a carnitas, pastor and a «special» taco using seasoned meat. I forget the name… maybe«suadero»? My kids split an adult-sized bean & cheese burrito. The suadero taco was not very good. Lots of fatty meat inside. I poured some salsa on it and it was edible(but I love salsa). They have quite a few varieties of salsa and grilled jalapenos too. I also ordered a shrimp chalupa which was very good, especially since they hand-make the masa tortillas. I would order this again. Tacos too! Just wish they had beer ;)

Been here a few times– the first time we came here, we couldn’t believe we hadn’t tried it before. Come to find out, you ask anybody in town if they’ve been here and they’ll say«yea, that place is good!» And it’s true. We’ve had their carne asada, pollo asada and el pastor tacos and all three were delicious. The el pastor comes with pineapple inside, which while I can see why it would be a great complimenting flavor it wasn’t up my alley, but my boyfriend loves them! My personal favorite is the carne, although the pollo is a close second. I’m looking forward to trying their other tacos. The make everything fresh. You can taste it. From the corn tortillas to the meat shaved right in front of you. It’s all fresh, quality ingredients. The real star of the show is that beautiful lime green Serrano salsa. It’s mellow with a kick. Paired up with their red salsa, you have the king of all salsas– smother it on everything. The place is a bit small, and seems to always be bustling if not busy. It has never taken us too long to get through the line, and we have always gotten a seat, but I wouldn’t be surprised to have to wait a few minutes in the future. No worries, it’s all worth it!

Man, oh man, oh man! This place is the bomb diggity yo! Parking = Good Atmosphere = Cozy(as in tight quaters) Tacos = The shizznitz! You can’t go wrong on Taco Tuesday, but plan on seeing everyone and there mama there too. Standing room only — but we were lucky enough to get a table as another party was finishing up. Being crowded adds to its appeal, almost feels like and actual TJ style taco stand with all the crowds. If you dont mind that, you will not regret the Tacos. Peace out!

THE best street tacos THE best Carne Asada fries EVER aaaand THE best Cali burrito in ALL North County! Their salsa bar is amazing and spiciness ranges from a mild picante to super hot red sauce while still maintaining a great flavor. Just make sure to get there before 9:30pm. The few times I’ve came in a little later, I was mildly disappointed in the quality of the food. I get it, you’re closing soon, but play until you hear the whistle. Who wants amazing street tacos with cold beans? Not THIS guy. All in all 4.7 of 5

Taco Tuesday– carne asada, al pastor, chicken and carnitas are $ 1.50. The taco comes with lettuce, pick de gallo and beans. I recommend the carne asada tacos the chicken was ok. The atmosphere is cozy there are 4 tables inside, a few bar tables around and a few tables outside. Super fast service the line was out the door and we didn’t wait very long for our food. The tortillas are hand made. They are just the right size. I would definitely come here again. I didn’t give a 5 star rating for a few reasons the tables aren’t cleaned we had to do ourself and if you pay with a card there is a .50 charge. Oh and the beans in the carne asada taco is a bit strange not bad but I would order without.

This is for taco Tuesday. Not my favorite taco I’ve ever had, but they were good and someone who likes street tacos with tons of onions would love them. I had to give them 5 stars because I can tell that the food is good here, I like the visibility of the cooking and preparing of the food, and the hand made tortilla lady that’s making them in the window as u wait in line!

The girls and I spent the morning frolicking through the Carlsbad flower fields, and we asked a local what a good Mexican food place to go to would be. They suggested Los Tacos, and I’m glad they did! Having spent a lot of time in East LA… I know street tacos! The Al Pastor was fresh and delicious! We all are tacos, fish, chicken, al pastor! We also got chips and guacamole(they were a little cheap on the chips, but gave a TON of Guacamole!) I will definitely return!

It was Taco Tuesday! I wanted to try a new place out and I resorted to the good ol Unilocal to help me out with this dilemma lol. Unilocal was leaning towards this place so I decided to give it a go bases on the reviews and how close it was to my house. Got there around 7pm and it wasnt busy at all. As soon as you walk in, you immediately see the spinning meat on the rotating wheel just glistening staring at you being ready to eat! Their menu is posted on the wall behind you if you are facing the register. I ordere 2 pork and 1 pollo taco. My friend ended up getting the same. They also have a salsa bar which was awesome, and it even had small description on the glass window right above each sauce to let you know how hot/spicy each one is. Of course I loaded up on cilantro and limes lol. It took about 8min for both of our food to arrive which was fairly quick. The moment of truth… took my first bite into my pork taco and it was DELICIOUS! sprayed some lime and sprinkled some cilantro on it to give it that extra oomph!(two thumbs wayyy up!) 2 tacos in and I was already sweating like crazy… because of how small this place is, there are about 7 tables inside each with 4 seats and may 2 – 3 tables outside of the restaurant. It was a bit cramp when the place began to fill up. Luckily, my friend and I were done destroying our tacos and we left with a belly full of happiness! haha Overall, service was quick and the food was tasty! Prices for the tacos were fair and I will be definitely coming back when I am around that area.

There are hundreds of strip mall taco joints in SoCal, but every once in a while you find one that’s extra special… as in they use premium ingredients, cook things well, and care enough to offer a half dozen homemade salsas ranging from mile to wild. If I have any complaints is that it’s too far from me to visit often, and that it’s also not a secret to locals. People know it’s good so there’s often a line and you gotta be savvy finding a seat. Even during non-peak hours. But the reward is a huge portion of made-to-order grilled goodness.

So I was in Oceanside getting gas for my car. Kinda hungry and looked on Unilocal.Saw this place had fish tacos on Thursdays for $ 1.50. Sweet, I’ll check it out. Walked in and had that feeling like this was going to be amazing. I ordered 3 fish tacos and they blew me away! They were great, the corn tortillas are made in house and the fish was very fresh tasting and flavorful. They also have an amazing salsa bar with fresh grilled jalapeños and Al Pastor spinning away. I cant wait till I am back in the area again to try out something else. This is a spot you need to try!

So glad I ignored the negative reviews and stopped in just because of the pictures of the al pastor roasting on the spit. More than worth the stop, service was great and we all REALLY loved our food here. My husband has a philly steak burrito and loved it, unique combination and really taste when I tried it as well. My son loved his cali burrito and the breakfast burrito looked amazing when we saw the cook making them, must come back for those. I went with al pastor and fish tacos, fish was not very good, also a small portion, pass next time. The al pastor the shining star, worth coming back for over and over again! Love that they open early, what better way to start the day then with tacos?

My husband and I came here for years because we enjoyed the food. We always order nachos. We usually order and order of nachos without meat– substituting the meat for cheese(hence you’ll get extra cheese). But we’ve gotten stiffed every single time. We pay the same price as if we’ve ordered carne asada nachos AND get charged $ 1EXTRA on top of that!!! Let me get this straight, you’re going to charge me $ 11 for meatless nachos?! What a joke! We loved the food here, but I recommend not ordering anything that requires customization in any way. Otherwise, not only will you not get what you ordered but you’ll get charged EXTRA. Please see my pictures! If I wasn’t starving right now I would totally drive back there and demand my money back. Oh and this recent visit… They did not give us sour cream nor the extra cheese. I’m upset that they never get the order right?! Additionally, there is a heavier set lady that is extremely rude to the customers– not just myself but to other people. Let’s get that attitude in check. Sorry Los Tacos, you just lost some customers. :(
