Ordered delivery, I’ve ordered from this place in the past, about a year ago, and it was eh okay. Decided to give it another chance and I’m glad I did. They make some of the best bagels you can get on Long Island. Soft and still warm! Delivery was prompt, everything tasted extremely fresh. Definitely ordering from here again

I have been there a few times but this was my last! Filthy and the women who took care of me was more concerned about her private phone conversation then me as a customer. Bagels are so so.

Although Oceanside has many bagel stores I’ve been giving Brower bagel a few opportunities to see how their bagels and service stack up. Their bagels are pretty good but they usually run out of certain varieties so it’s difficult to get what you want. Today I went in for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. After waiting about 10 minutes for my order and watching 4 people that came in after me receive their egg order I asked where my sandwich was. They had no idea what was going on. I got fed up, put my coffee on the counter and left. It wasn’t so busy which would justify them being so confused so I was extremely disappointed with the service. I will not be going back again.

Not sure what happened to the place. I’m a local & have been there hundreds of times over the years. The bagels are not consistent. Recently, often times bagel choices are skinny & hard. The place is clean & spacious for in house eating. The staff is friendly but can get harried during busy times.

Went in this morning to use the atm and was going to buy some bagels or rolls. I looked at the challah rolls and onion challah rolls. Before I could order I noticed the seeds were moving. The rolls were covered in flies. I politely said no thank you and left. Gross!!!

The bagels here are decent, but they don’t quite know how to run the place. Every time I go and order the same thing, it’s a different price. Sometimes you will stand there when the place is empty and the staff won’t even notice you. I only eat here occasionally because I live nearby.

Spoke to «Barry» today who pretended to be the manager when I called. He is actually the employee who completely messed up my order last week and who threw one slice of turkey on my bagel(literally) when I corrected him on my order and stated that I ordered a turkey BLT– which was not the reason why I wanted to speak to the manager today. Completely unprofessional business and not run properly. I will never order from there again.

Considering that this place is where I had my very first NY bagel, I have to give it a high rating. I loved their bagels! They really had a different taste and texture than bagels I’ve had back at home. And their spreads were awesome! I especially liked their Green Onion and Lox spreads. Big thanks to my aunt for picking up two dozen Brower Bagels for breakfast and introducing me to this gem in Oceanside.

Not going to lie, the food is fresh and good, but the service is why I have to give it a lower rating. I once went in and ordered a bagel, got to work, and realized they gave me the wrong bag. I went another time and was 1 of 2 customers and I waited about a half hour for my food(a wrap and a sandwich). Something that should have taken 15 minutes tops. It seemed like it was the girl’s(no older than 16) first day and she had no idea how to even cut chicken, which she did at a snail’s pace. Another girl was helping her but she was just as slow and confused as to how a sandwich was made. There was a lot of chit chat and standing around in the back, so the man in front of me looked like he waited about the same amount of time for 3 egg sandwiches. When all was said and done, I couldn’t believe a wrap, a sandwich, a half pound of mac salad, and 3 drinks was $ 25. The older woman gave me a menu and told me I should call ahead so I didn’t have to wait as long. I appreciate the offer, but it shouldn’t take a half hour to make what was made. I went in about 1 hour before close and they were already wrapping up the salads and sweeping. Also, one of the guys was wearing pajama pants and the girl was wearing what looked like«last night’s outfit». This might be a personal pet peeve of mine, but I don’t think pajama pants belong in any food service setting and most places around here have some kind of uniform. Uncomfortable. Please reconsider who you’re hiring and try to figure out how to do things way more quickly.

Brower bagel is on the end of my block, great friendly staff, tuna salad is great so is there challah bread. Almost every Saturday morning I get egg sandwiches from them, the reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is because every Saturday my egg sandwich is completely different. I always take it to go but there have been times I’ve ordered bacon egg and cheese came home with ham or sausage, ask for no ketchup they put extra it’s weird. I wish they were more consistent, so if you are ordering egg Sandwiches don’t wait until you leave to see your scrambled eggs dripping over easy

Was not impressed. We came on a summer morning, the place was unbearably hot. The bagels were nothing special. Won’t be back as there are tons of other better bagel places.

I usually go to 24 hr bagels but figured I try this place out as it is closer to my house. I got a raisin bagel with cream cheese and jelly. I was very disappointed, lacked flavor and had almost no raisins. I will not return. stuff was very nice

I live in the neighborhood and have been in this place several times telling myself they will get better but they don’t. Disorganized is not the word for this place. And it’s way too expensive. 4 flat bagels and 2 plain bagels came to 7.60. their bialys are downright disgusting and their bagels have gone downhill. When they first opened the bagels were very good… crunchy out and soft inside. Now they are soft and chewy and you’ll need tylenol for your jaw. I’m so done with this place.

Love this bagel shop. Great Sandwich list. Reminds me of Zingermans in Ann Arbor. Very creative menu. I’ve eaten here a bunch of times, always good.

The culmination of two bagel professionals creates the underpinnings of Brower Bagels. Richie from Richie’s Bagels Plus and Andrew of Bagelo have joined forces to bring the residents of Oceanside and the surrounding areas«The best bagel in town.» I was taken back by the physical size of the location, if it was the size of two storefronts, it was the size of three. Enough room to not be left with a bagel in hand and nowhere to sit. But Browers is so much more than bagels as there are wraps available and not your run of the mill standard operating procedure options. A Waldorf Wrap(all for $ 7.99) is made with chunky chicken salad, cranberries, crumbled bacon, walnuts and mixed greens. and that is one option out of thirteen. Same culinary approach to the Panini’s and sandwich combos. There is a grill station offering a hot sandwich’s selection that will have you trying a new meal a day, yet not enjoying the same delicious meal twice. I was also impressed with the Carving Station area: Richie’s Homemade brisket, chicken pot pies, roasted chicken and more. As it was early in the morning I went with a few bagels and the Lobster Salad as it came highly recommended, Although a smallish cup ran me $ 8.00 each and i ordered two, it was a bit pricey. But the quality was there and it was quite enjoyable. With delivery services available and the fact that Brower is open to better service their customers 7 days a week, this is a well built business with the customer held in the highest priority.

There is a place in Brooklyn on Ave X between West St. and E.1st street called Bake City Bagels. Being that my family is from that area I always used this place as setting the bar for bagels. Why you may ask? Well on L.I. I just haven’t found a place that has that nice crispy, crunchy outside with a soft inside.(yeah…yeah…I know all about 24 hr. bagel) Well…being that Brower Bagel is just steps from my home I waited with much anticipation as they were building. So…I stop in one Sunday morning and order a pumpernickel with butter and coffee to go. As I’m driving to church I open up the bag, sink my teeth into that puppy and am just so happy I don’t have to drive to Brooklyn to get a decent bagel! Absolutely a winner!
