You want a delicious burger that is not overcooked, mashed down and dry? You go here. You want creative combinations, terrific service and a fun atmosphere? You go here. You want crappy meat, cheap, greasy, processed cheese and limp, shoestring fries? Go to McDonald’s. We adore the balsamic garlic burger special and we split ½ pound burger and small fries each time and its more than enough. So glad you came to our neck of the woods!

Such amazing service. Their burgers are huge and delicious. Their small serving of onion rings were enormous. We came in before they were open and let us drink beer while we waited for them to open. First time visiting Pismo has started out great!

We were visiting and asked our air bnb host for a good burger place zand she told us to go here. Everything is cooked to order so it is fresh and hot. If you are in the area try this place for sure. The staff even remembered us a year later!!! Can you believe that? Love it!!!

Without a doubt the juiciest best tasting hamburgers in the Pismo Beach area and maybe all of San Luis Obispo County. You might have to eat it with a knife and fork it is so juicy. Bring your friends have some fun and enjoy the incredible food. vegetarians, they have a couple veggie burgers too .my wife prefers the hippy burger.

Delicious! I had the Old Fashioned burger and my husband had the Texas Flood burger. Very large, two people could eat off one — we took home left overs. The garlic fries were delicious, and the onion rings were the best we’ve ever had. Crispy and not a bit greasy. The young woman who took our order was very friendly and even came around to see if we needed anything. We will definitely come here next time we come to Pismo.

The food is okay. Too expensive! Clam chowder sucks! Everything is over priced! I won’t recommend this place!

Free Burger on your birthday! !!
We came here this evening for my mother’s birthday (her first time), she loved it! I got the mushroom burger, fries and a pineapple shake my sister got the Hawaiian burger with onion rings and my mother go a plain burger. We all shared the fries and onions rings. Everything was delicious, and the staff were extremely friendly. Every time I go here I always have a pleasant experience, I definitely plan on coming here again on my birthday! :-)

I liked my hippie burger (veggie). I got mine without cream cheese. It was pretty pricey though. Almost $ 8 for a veggie burger. My friend got the tri tip salad and said it was good but not as good as the steak salad from Firestone. We shared an order of garlic fries. A large was too big for us and half got thrown away. The fries reminded me of Long John Silvers’ fries with that texture that almost seems like they’re battered… The garlic also isn’t fresh. It’s the canned wet stuff and doesn’t get evenly distributed. Just a huge pile of garlic sitting only on the fries up top. Don’t think I would get them again. There is plenty of outdoor seating and you get a free burger on your birthday.

This place is mediocre at best. I’ve been here a few times and when I am most pleased with them, I am mildly satisfied. Tonight I came in and ordered a burger, fries, salad, and 2 drinks to go. A pretty simple order. The people in front of me also ordered their food to go, and ordered just about the same thing as me. While I was waiting for my food, the people in front of me got their food, decided to eat their to-​go-​order in, and left, all while I was STILL waiting for my order. I asked someone to check on my order, so the staff goes into the kitchen and comes immediately out with my food. When I got home everything was cold and the burger had gotten soggy. It was clear my food had been sitting around for quite awhile. Nothing was remotely good, and my husband had to replace his burger bun with a new one from it being so soggy. That is the last time I will ever eat there.

I have been to the Sylvesters in Atascadero. This one is incredible too. We had three different buglers (basic cheese, California, and heart attack) and all were cooked just right and mixed we’ll with their secret sauce.
We had the garlic fries which were good, but after a bit were pretty strong. Overall great experience and nice staff. Will be back when feel like a good burger.

I ordered the heart attack burger, gf ordered the black n’ bleu (½ lb each), shared 1 basket of garlic fries, 1 small order of sweet potato fries, and 1 pitcher of beer…
and it came out to nearly $ 50?! whoa… this better be good…
Unfortunately, it was only OK to us. The egg in the heart attack burger was overcooked, and the egg yolk wasn’t even runny. The black n’ bleu was alright… there just wasn’t anything special about either one and they were a bit bland considering all that came inside each burger. I was hopeful when I saw the size of each burger. The quantity was there, but at $ 12 each (no fries included!) then the quality better be there as well.
The sweet potato fries came with powdered sugar on top. and the garlic fries came with the bits of garlic. I wasn’t a fan of these either. I like when my garlic fries are soaking up the garlic goodness. They don’t really do that when chopped garlic is just thrown on top (and doesn’t even stick to the fries).
I would still probably come back to this place if I were in the area. I’m curious about their elk burger and other «from the range» options. Hopefully those are bigger hits than the ones we had on this visit.

I loved it! My family loved it. Except for one of us that thought it was just okay. She got a sandwich. The rest of us got burgers and salads. Great experience for this small part of town. There were some spider webs I could do without but a really friendly and tasty restaurant.

Let me start by saying that Sylvesters Burgers is a top notch burger joint. Their burgers are amazing, the fries are excellent, the service is superb, the atmosphere is fun, the price is right, and those onion rings are the best we’ve ever had.

The Texas flood was the delicious very good food very good service and they have the best shakes ever

I have eaten here a handful of times and I must say everytime I go in the experience gets better and better. The atmosphere is great! Family friendly and if you wanna take your girlfriend out on a date or go on a burger run! You have amazing staff members who give excellent customer service but the one whom stands out the most… I believe her name is Edith! While I eat my food I observe the way your employees work. Edith is always running around making sure that the customer is fully satisfied! Even if she has to run around in circles. She will climb mountains for the customers! The food is a 20 out of 10! Shoutout to the cooks making delicious burgers that are ALWAYS made with love. But, nothing beats eating local and finding out that Sylvesters has came together with Cayucos hot sauce. Two local companies collided = FOODGASM

Had lunch here, garden burger, the old fashioned, and philly. We also had the onion rings and garlic fries. The food was fast, fresh and delicious! The servers were all very friendly, the tunes playing were the hits from the 80’s :)

Best burgers ever! They make my special meatless mushroom burger and I die of a heart attack every time! The good kind of heart attack tho!

The Heart Attack was very well-​presented (as in it was stacked really well and looked pretty), but was a little lackluster once we started eating. My friend who goes to SLO (I go to UCD and was visiting for the weekend) said the burger was messier (and juicier?) at the other locations — he hadn’t been to this one before. I was pretty satisfied, but it didn’t blow me away. If I’m ever in SLO again, maybe I’ll try the other locations to see if there’s a difference.
Other miscellaneous notes:
We ordered in and pulled up 15 minutes before closing, but still were able to eat in. The place was a simple side-​of-​the-​road diner/​burger joint type place.

Got the heart attack burger with garlic fries and onion rings and my husband got the clam chowder. The burger was delicious! I ordered without tomato and they were more than willing to custom my order. They put a lot of the sauce on the burger. I needed like 10 napkins, but it was delicious! The fries and onion rings were nice and crispy. I tasted my husband’a clam chowder. It was a bit watery for my taste, but he liked it.
They also have a patio and we were able to bring our dogs. They offered a water dish for the dogs too.
We will definitely be back!
