I needed a new mattress and read some of the Unilocal reviews and decided to give this store (Manalapan) an opportunity and sell me a mattress and to be fair and Not be guided strictly by the negative comments posted from, as the owner said «competitors». So on Tuesday August 4th, 2015 I decided to visit the store myself. As I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed the windows had large signs saying «STORE CLOSING» Going out of Business, this store just opened a few months ago ! Need I say anymore ! I never shut my car off and went somewhere else ! A. Andolini

I had a similar experience to Samuel R. when I went to their second location in Manalapan/​Freehold. There were many signals that led me to believe that the mattresses were either used or rebuilt? I checked with Sealy to see if they are an authorized dealer, and they said they do not sell to this store. I would never buy a mattress from here, I was really sketched out (all the mattresses are in plastic bags, I didn’t even feel comfortable getting on the bed, GROSS!) Buyer beware!

Mattress Express was suggested by a friend. The salesman took his time to make sure I found the perfect mattress for me. After having shopped around it was a pleasant change to not be pushed towards the most expensive mattress. After picking the one I liked (happened to be the same mattress I looked at in other stores) it cost me about half the price of the other places. I will absolutely be recommending Mattress Express!

I was in the market for a queen set so I went in to check out what was available. What I found should be a concern for all who shop here. First the mattresses are not coming direct from Sealy, Serta & Simmons. They are being purchased from Emes Bedding from Philadelphia without any warranties other than a ‘Store” warranty for 30 days !!! What this all means is If you spend upwards of 499 like their signs advertise and the mattress you purchase has any problems after 30 days, Tuff Luck your out the money and Buyer Beware applies !!! I called Serta direct and found out they DO NOT SELL ANY Mattress Sets Without a WARRANTY, which indicates they MAY be USED !!!

I went into Mattress Express based on a recommendation from a friend who had bought a couple of mattresses from there. I was pleasantly surprised. I went in with a particular mattress in mind that I had seen in another store. The owner showed me a similar mattress from the same manufacturer that I was looking for for almost half the price! I was able to take it home same day. I will recommend Mattress Express to everyone I know.
