Firefly Tavern

Firefly is a great new spot in Ocean Springs! Great staff and pleasant atmosphere right on Government St. I was surprised to also find very good food here. Had the chance to met Adam who is the GM here — he’s awesome. Seems like good things to come here at Firefly.

waited 25 min for food, we were the only ones inside. had the beach burger figured it would hav awesome flavor but unfortunately had no seasoning or flavor bland. bummer… also when we were there they do not except discounts for veterans or active soldiers.. REALLY. wow how disrespectful. .sad i will never return. oh by the way im neither but i am grateful to all military.

Very good appetizers we got! And the service was friendly. I’m always pleased with the cucumber martini, not too sweet, just right :)

Very clean place, waitress very attentive for the most part. On duty management very polite. Whole experience, along with our 35 minute drive to try the place was shot down with the additional charge for using my debit card. Wowwww, so I’m covering your monthly bottom line on your P& L for credit and debit charges? Maybe I should clock in if things are that tight and you need to pass around the offertory plate. Maybe you should’ve applied for a larger bank loan before you opened. Good business practice 101 would suggest you either let patrons know up front, by signage or server, that we’re having to help you stay afloat. A real shame as something so underhanded can piss on otherwise good food, atmosphere and presentation. Perhaps you assume that the crowd you’re brand attracts won’t care or notice the additional charge, however minuscule. Some folks don’t notice. Others pay closer attention than you might think. Good luck with that. Bad dog, no bone.

This place is awesome! The food and drinks are phenomenal!

Very well prepared and extremely tasty early New Year’s Eve dinner. Large, juicy fried oysters, boiled royal reds, grilled shrimp, and pan fried pork with artichoke and capers. Complemented with a bottle of Kendal Jackson.

Under new ownership, this is bound to be one of Ocean Springs’ favorites. Fantastic appetizers… best smoked tuna dip I’ve ever had. bacon wrapped grilled jalapeño duck bites are amazing! Our table also had a wedge salad that was fresh and delicious and HUGE, fried green tomatoes – awesome, boom-​boom shrimp that were great with just the right spice, and a half order of the crawfish Monica that was creamy and tasty and a very generous portion. They also have a great drink menu… the martinis were the bomb! We tried several and my favorite was the one with cucumber! We have been back and have ordered the fried green tomato BLT and it was perfect… thick sliced bacon and tender bread… mmm mmmm. They are a great addition to the downtown Ocean Springs bar/​restaurant scene!

Cool place, clean and friendly, chill vibe, nice staff. Not a huge place but plenty of seating, both tables and couch style. Outdoor seating available as well. Gratefully smoke free.
They have music on Fri/​Sat nights and brunch on Sundays. The menu has a variety of sandwiches, burgers, wraps & fries and some basic bar-​food appetizers.
My husband had the shrimp wrap & beignets, I had the fries. All good.
Brunch menu looks delicious.
