Very friendly and helpful folks at the entrance to H2o. Got checked in and offered towels immediately. Decided to walk around first and check the place out. Noticed some cool decked out cabanas and other VIP looking areas throughout the place. Reserved cabana E at the rental hut from another helpful gentleman at 3PM. Went to my hotel room to change and returned to H2O at 4:15 to a very occupied cabana E. Stood around looking confused for a few before trekking back across the pool area in 100 degree MS heat to the rental hut where I was told that we’d been moved to cabana D. Seems that the people now in E were in another cabana that had a non-functioning TV. Quite naturally, my question was«well is the TV working in D?» to which a response of «Oh, Yes» was received. Well, TV didn’t work and batteries were missing from the fan remote. In addition to that, loud country music was blasting from the speakers which couldn’t be fixed due to a missing remote. Decided to wait to address the issues with the server. What server? 5 mins passed…10 mins passed…15 mins passed and still no server. Tried flagging down who I came to know as Megan but she avoided me like the plague while attending to the cabana right next door. Soooo, asked my dd to trek back across the pool area to advise the rental hut attendant that we were having issues. WHOA!!! Megan just passed again. Didn’t even look in my direction. But here comes the rental hut attendant dashing my way, jumping over lounges with remote and batteries in hand. «Thank You! Can you tell me who’s serving my cabana?». He responds, I’ll get someone right over. No one ever came. Finally oh finally I stopped olé«look away» Megan in her tracks this time. Know what she told me? «Sorry, but I’m about to get off at 5pm!» I couldn’t believe it… I’d just spent my hard earned money to be completely ignored and then dismissed in sweltering heat for 1 hour. Couldn’t even get a glass of water. I HATE I wasted my time and money on this place because shortly after that a bad storm came through with strong winds and lightning. Ugh…one thing I can’t stand is bad service and you’re guaranteed to get it here if you’re wanting to do anything other than get a towel and touch the water.

If you don’t mind waiting 30 minutes at the bar or 1 hour around the pool for service this is the spot! No joke. We had time to eat lunch at the pools snack area and the women next to us still was waiting for her drinks that she ordered before we left to eat. If you go to the pool bar you have to be very forceful to get drinks. John Tafer needs to visit this place! This place could double its revenue stream with better service and having a DJ show up before 2pm. Management is focused on keeping the towels nicely tucked in versus taking care of customers. The chairs have to be touching and if you leave them for a period of time they will refold your towel. Managements focus is in the wrong area. Too many men folding towels and trying to impress girls with their connections and not enough service. Glad I brought my own beer. :)
