Beautiful location. Decently appointed cabins. However the management was so unwelcoming that we felt we were imposing with our presence. There were a few things we would have asked for(extra towels etc) but we did without rather than dealing with them. We will definitely spend our future vacations at a place where we are welcome rather than a pain in the $#%.

It’s my birthday and I am staying at one of my favorite spots on the planet! Been here many times and I love this place. Easy walk to a great beach… the gardens are beautiful and you can walk to Jimella’s for dinner. If you want a spot to get away… this is it.

LOVETHISPLACE! We stayed for four nights and really made use of the cottage. We BBQed every night, DROVE to and ON the beach, had a fire going on each night — it was very accommodating for all five of us. The girls, being so spoiled with their tablets complained of the WI-FI, but it was decent enough, and served our purpose for NOT promoting such things on this vacation. The couple that runs the cottages are nice and were the groundkeepers(since the mid 70’s?) They were great! Had no problems with anything — plenty of blankets in our cabin(#8) bed was soo comfortable and the pull out bed fr the couch was great for the kids. The view is gorgeous and we did get to see deer outside our window each morning. What I thought was really cute is the guest books they have and you can write in your experience. Everyone had such a great experience and were return customers for years. I hope to be one of them! I wish we lived closer so we can get away more often to this cozy gem of a place. I will be sad when the couple retires, I feel like whoever will take over may not keep its simplicity. I would definitely recommend this for a family vacay, but not a place to bring all your party people and rent out all cottages at the same time.(But hey, that wouldn’t be such a bad idea). But Im sure the family thats in the next cottage wouldn’t appreciate such a crowd.

We stayed here 6 years ago, and thought the location was great. We knew there would be a pullout couch which we needed. There was an issue with it(no sheets). We found out at 9:45pm about the problem and they’d said tell them before 6pm if anything was needed. The next day, they didn’t seem to think it was a problem that we couldn’t use the pullout. The best thing: venturing to the beach at 7am in the mist, a stag was about 20 feet away from us! He kept moving through the grasses & trees, then another stag started following the first one! The area has many houses around so it was a happy surprise to see. I think they’re a bit overpriced too considering the abundance of other similar places to stay in the area. It was quite clean, but we’ll find another place to stay for the next Pacific Northwest vacation.

So disappointing! We were planning a trip to Long Beach, the day after Memorial Day and on the recommendation of friends, we decided to stay at the Klipsan Beach Cabins. We weren’t sure if we could actually go because of work commitments. I kept checking the website the week before and there were cabins available for the one night we were planning to stay. The website reservation default is for two nights and you can change it to 1, 2 – 5 nights, however long you plan to stay and check availability. We got to Long Beach the day after Memorial Day and I checked the website and there were four cabins available for one night. I called them and was told that we couldn’t stay for one night because there is a two night minimum. I explained to the gentleman that I had checked the website several times and that there was availability for this one night. He said that couldn’t/shouldn’t have happened and was very abrupt & annoyed and said that the one night option on the website needed to be changed. So I asked if he could make an exception because we were 9 miles away and really wanted to stay there. Again, he sounded annoyed, bordering on rude, and said no he wouldn’t do that and the conversation ended. We ended up staying at the adorable Boardwalk Cottages in Long Beach, who also have a two night minimum but waived that because we were right there & they also gave us a 10% discount! Today I checked the Klipsan website and nowhere does it say a two night minimum. Also, today, I was still able to check one night on the website and cabin availability came up. It seems to me that if someone really wants to stay at your Cottages, are less than 15 minutes away and there four cottages available that the owners might be more accommodating particularly as we had done our homework and fully believed we could stay one night. Disappointing!

First came here 20 years ago, and they just keep getting better. Cozy little beach cabins, beautifully maintained, a short walk through the dunes to the beach. Wifi, fireplace & fully equipped kitchen. Very comfortable & relaxing. We’ll be back in July!

S.U. and I have been meeting old friends from Seattle here every September for several years. These are classic, cute, well maintained beach cabins(short walk through the beach grass) just north of Long Beach. No WiFi, limited cell service, a great get-away. You can walk for miles on The Beach, bike the easy roads, pick up the freshest oysters around in Oysterville and enjoy the quiet. Great get-away! Remember, bring your own oyster knife and glove!
