Extremely limited menu, but excellent food at a decent price. It is super tiny (as is everything in OG) so don’t expect to eat in a spacious booth. The best time to go is when you’ll be able to eat outside.

Rude! 40 minutes for a pie?!
The sign in the window says pizza by the slice and when I asked for one the dude looked at me as if I had a squid growing out of my forehead and rudely informed me that they «DO NOT DO SLICES!»

Fantastic personal pizza! They did a great job with my hubby’s custom order of white pizza (no tomato sauce) with eggplant, meatballs, and mushrooms. I had pepperoni. We shared a walnut, pear, and bleu cheese salad.
It was Saturday evening so the place was busy and they did a great job handling everyone’s order in a timely fashion.
Al fresco dining was available but we opted to sit inside since it was a little muggy out.

This place must have changed hands recently. We went back and the eggplant pizza was terrible! It used to have lots of thick breaded eggplant, sauce and tons of cheese. So good!
Went back a few weeks ago; hadn’t been there in a few years. The eggplant pizza was awful. Thinly sliced eggplant, no breading, barely any sauce, and the cheese wasn’t good. Tasted cheap. And the pizza was very bland! Not going back.

This place is overpriced, cash only, cranky old guy serving you average pizza for above average prices. He burned 3 pizzas while we were there waiting, was slamming stuff around and rude to customers. Stay away.

THIS IS NOW CALLED GROVE PIZZA Excellent for what it is. The salads are great. The chicken nuggets are really good. The prices seem reasonable. It’s a good option for quick fast food. I’ve done take out twice and the service is always fast and pleasant. I’ll continue to Order from here.

New managers are doing great too! I’ve had food from there the past 3 weekends! The coconut shrimp salad and wraps are very good. We’ve enjoyed their personal pizzas too.

I’ve been going to ocean grove since I was a kid and this place used to be amazing, best pizza ever. However, I learned today that they have new management and let me say it shows. Pizza is nowhere near as good now as it was in the past. It was average, overly expensive, barely any toppings and barely any cheese. I have to say I am so disappointed and I miss the guys who used to own it before, guess I’ll be going elsewhere now

The pizza’s good, but if you go in the off-​season and dine in, don’t be surprised when the owner gets on the phone and drops the «N» word a few dozen times. Loudly. I was disgusted.

Too expensive for what they were selling. Ice had personal pies before but not that small. The dough seemed undercooked. The person behind the counter was in such a rush with attitude. He threw my money down like I was annoying him. If you want something quick and good I’d say don’t go.

It’s personal sized pizza which is OK, but it’s really freakin expensive for its size and taste. The meatball pizza was just slices of meat and the pizza was so poorly put together it just apart into bits and smithereens when you try to pick it up. Not too sure why the rating so high — it seems like a 3 at the best.

This place is terrible! I ordered a OVERPRICED pizza last night… with some ziti. I got the pizza in 15 minutes then waited another hour and a half for the ziti… The guys just kept saying. oh well its busy tonight. The pizza was decent but the ziti disgusting… I saw them microwaving plastic containers of ziti. Not fresh. Don’t waste your money…

Buyer beware of their bait and switch. They list personal pizzas on their menu and then list other speciality pizzas. They don’t identify those as also being personal size. With a couple of toppings we paid $ 13 for a personal sized pie. Ouch! And it wasn’t even good. The crust was not cooked and was soggy. I think they were so busy they were rushing to get pies out of their oven.

The Pizza Shop is one of the cheaper place to eat in Ocean Grove. The Piazzas are personal sized only. So if you just want a slice this is not the place for you. They are a CASH only business. I love the Pizza. they have other things besides pizza. Your order is assigned a number and they call you number when you food is ready. The employees are VERY nice. And the Pizza is well worth the wait. We try to eat hear ever time we are in Ocean Grove NJ.

Nothing spectacular to see here. Nice clean place to take a break from the beach. Ordered pizza, poured drinks, then informed us it is cash only. R u kidding? The pizza was marginal. The crust had burnt pieces from the oven stuck on the bottom, so it was like eating charcoal. It was served on a cardboard plate and resembled a frozen pizza from the grocery store. Won’t do this place again.

Summary: I read into the Unilocal Hype on Pizza Shoppe and came away disappointed.
They offer personal sized pizzas with your standard toppings along with a few gourmet-​type options. The prices seemed a bit high, especially considering Pizza Shoppe is cash only, however, I assumed quality would more than make up for it. Our pizza came out hot, but seemed like the crust was separate from the cheese and toppings. I ended up eating the pizza with a fork and knife, toppings first, then crust second. The taste was average. Therefore, the overall value did not meet expectations.

A wonderful little shop for pizza right in my hometown. But don’t come expecting large pies.
The idea of The Pizza Shoppe is to have one size for all (not counting the other dishes), as opposed to 3 or four. You get a nice personal pizza alone, or ask for a drink to go with it. The menu itself is more than pizza as well (as expected).
Definitely worth stopping at first if you ever visit Ocean Grove.

Excellent pizza. Old world feel. Friendly staff. My kids love it here and the personal pies. It’s their favorite pizza place, one of mine too.
