Scene: Me sweating from head to toe, still smell of old bay from eating crabs for dinner and completely exhausted from handling two cranky hot toddlers all day.
At the conclusion of my very busy day in ocean city, my Mother In law says, «lets go get an apple.» Im thinking, great… fruit, that’s just what I want right now… Give me carbs and sugar and caffine please!!!
Boy was I confused… she meant an APPLE from Wockenfuss. The most delicious thing in Ocean City, MD. The apple is crisp and tart and is perfectly balanced by the sweetness and creaminess from the chocolate/​nut/​caramel layers… and it’s not like a carnival apple… the chocolate around the outside is thick! Like, half an inch of chocolate! HELLOOOOOO TEMPTATION!
They also had delectable pecan turtles and milk chocolate caramels.
The store is kind of boutique-​ish. They have cute little wine glasses and nick nacks for your house and expensive crap for your kids that they won’t appreciate. It’s quite adorable. Although the boutique stuff does crowd the chocolate area so there is not much space in the establishment.
Don’t question yourself… just do everyone a favor and come here. Don’t think… just do it.
