M.R. Ducks

Came here with my girlfriend and was seated right away with a beautiful view of the bay. The prices for the food and apps is very reasonable and we enjoyed the crab-​balls and mahi mahi tacos. We had a couple of Duck Calls (light rum, coconut rum, pineapple juice) and they were delicious and the bartender didn’t skimp you on the alcohol. Our server was polite and attentive and even allowed me to charge my phone behind the host station. Only complaint was we sat pretty far away from the bar/​DJ area and the music was still very loud for what time it was which took away from the ambiance of a nice sun set dinner.

All these years we’ve been coming to OC and we finally had lunch at M.R. Ducks. Great location and the staff couldn’t have been any friendlier. We sat at the bar and had the jerk chicken appetizer. It was delicious, but not highly seasoned. For lunch, the Mahi Mahi tacos were the best I’ve had. My husband got the blackened tuna bites, which were on special. Again, needed more seasoning, but they were tasty. The Old Bay French fries were perfect — crispy and piping hot. Can’t wait to go back.

Fries are amazing! We had the crab balls and fish tacos. Both were cooked to perfection and very tasty. It overlooks the water and beautiful to sit outside on a sunny day. Would definitely recommend.

I came for happy hour and got the «chug a duck» (i.e. you chug a drink out of a plastic ducks beak; super funny/​fun!) and a few beers. Nice, chill outdoor bar; Good service. I would definitely come back!

Beautiful location at the dock. Great place for a beer and to hear live music.
Food is OK… I wouldn’t go just for the food, but I would meet a couple of friends there to grab some beers.

Really chill outdoor bar, with great drink prices. I discovered MR Ducks on the last day of my vacation & wish I would’ve visited earlier in my stay.

The food was not very good and they changed the prices of the drinks every day which is odd. I wouldnt go back to eat there. The view of the water is nice.

Great spot right on the marina. Beautiful views and great crowds… Def a place to check out for a drink. I did not eat, but it looks like its typical bar food

Food is great, drinks are even better. Amazing location right on the bay and no better place to watch the sun set. We love going when there is live music in the summer and there is a wonderful atmosphere around. There is also a shop there where you can find some unique little souvenirs and clothing.

We stayed in ocean city for 2 days and came here 3 times. It’s a very cute bar with the most friendliest courteous staff In ocean city! Probably the best drinks in ocean city. The orange crush was so refreshing and delicious ! And you must chug a duck !!! The appetizers are good the atmosphere is fun and over the water ! Love it here

Was surprised very basic sandwich and appz. Menu. Very fair price esp. With the happy hour m-​f 3 to 6 clams, shrimp, even drinks.
Got the hamburger was little more cooked then asked but over all food is really good. Yet, I think it’s a drinking place for sure. Cuz. They got great deals on the adult cocktails. Enjoy. Xo

A waitress at a restaurant we went to recommended this place for Sunday night deck party. Was more lively than some of the other bars on Sunday night but still pretty tame. $ 3 drinks was great. Outside area was nice but small. Didn’t chug a duck even though I wanted to.

Stopped by here at 11am because we missed our boat. They didn’t start serving till 1130 but waitress told us we can sit down and have a drink
Bloody Mary was strong and spicy. Kids enjoyed their Chicken fingers and fries.
Overall very good place and very nice staff

All seating outdoors and faces the bay. Staff is friendly, attentive, courteous. Crab cake sandwich was amazing, as was the rockfish. Mac & Cheese is Kraft from a box. Expect DJ or band. We didn’t imbibe, but the drinks looked delicious.
Gift shop was well stocked with high quality shirts, etc. They had great photos of Labs & life on the Chesapeake.
We’d come again just for the crab dip. Nicely done.

My wife and I have visited M.R. ducks four times over the last two years and we overall satisfied with our experiences there, but not for the food or drinks. The seating on the water and watching the sunset right from the deck is the main reason we come to this restaurant.
The food, overall is decent but with a very limited selection. The hot wings are pretty decent, but not terribly spicy. The garlic parmesan wings are flat out disappointing because they barely do anything else besides smother crushed garlic on top of them. Burgers are filling and tasty but the fries are pretty boring and typical of any mediocre restaurant. The crab cake is quite tasty and probably the best thing on the menu, but again, there aren’t any fries or sides that make you dying to return for a second time.
The bar, overall is mediocre as well. Mixed drinks aren’t too heavy and they have a fair selection. However, their beer selection is extremely limited with no beers on draft.
However the serving staff is incredibly nice and caring. They are prompt with drinks and always appeared attentive to our table.
We’ll continue to visit M.R. Ducks because is low key, rarely too crowded, and have a decent selection of food and drink to choose from.

This is just a review on the bar. Went on a sunday and had a blast. The duck chugs were disgusting but hilarious. The crowd was having a blast and the bartenders were great. I would definitely come here again.

The best thing about M.R. Ducks is the seating on the water and the view. I went for lunch and drinks over the weekend with some friends and really enjoyed the location of the restaurant.
I had the pineapple rum crush which was AMAZING!
My complaint about the restaurant was that my lunch was not good. I ordered the garden salad which came with browning lettuce, dried out cucumber slices, and salad dressing in a bag. I completely understand that salads are not their specialty with all of the seafood options, but a fresh salad should not be hard to master especially being so close to farming communities. I was very disappointed with my entrée.

Nice place for dinner close to the boardwalk but on the Bayside. I got the fish sandwich and it was decent. The spicy aioli put it over the top and made it delicious. Try the old bay wings for an appetizer! Nice live music as well

This place was great for a nice lunch. We wanted to be close to the board walk but off the main drag to be compass a bit. We ate at a table near the bar, but separate. They were great with our 3 year old and had good chicken tenders for her, not the mushy gross ones people tend to put on a kids menu. My husband had grilled fish sandwich that was delicious. However the show stopper was my soft shell crab sandwich!!! Lightly breaded, crispy fried sweet and wonderful! Came on a roll with a spicy creole mayo sauce. So so so good. We will be beck!
