Kirby’s Red Onion Grille

The outside is deceiving. It’s much cleaner and new on the inside then it appears on the outside. When we first pulled up we almost left. I’m so glad we didn’t! We were there just after lunch time and there was only one bartender/​waitress to cover the entire restaurant. She had 3 tables including ours and about 7 people at the bar. she was quick, efficient and friendly. The food was incredible. We had a Paulies po boy and french dip. both were made with real meat, not steakum type meat. The fries had what I think was old bay seasoning and were delicious. There are only 3 options on thr kids menu, but they are great options to satisfy any kid. We’ll be back!

Came here for dinner and drinks on a Saturday night. The food was good, service was okay, but we were ignored a few times. Addmitedly there were no servers so the bartenders were handing EVERYTHING. Definitely a locals bar which is fine because those seem most friendly. I got a salad with added tuna which was advertised as a special for about $ 12 bit was charged $ 16 (maybe they didn’t know it was a special) My salad came out after my boyfriends burger. If I wasn’t gluten or lactose intolerant I would have so tasted that burger because he raved it was the best he has had in a LONG TIME and it smelled and looked awesome. My salad was AWESOME. I know… a salad in a bar? Like I said… gluten and lactose intolerant. Kind of immediately limits my options but there was seriously a hefty serving of freshly grilled tuna on it and it was awesome. We did request the caps game be put on and it wasn’t (seriously about 15 tvs in the whole bar which isn’t even a large space) until we asked again during the 3^rd. Met a local or two and they were crazy nice. Once the games were ending the staff seemed more attentive. Plus the place was directly next to the Fenwick Inn so we didn’t have to worry about having pets and driving all the way down to the boardwalk to have a good time. Not their fault, but was card was declined. I’m guessing because my card was skimmed at another establishment in ocean city at an ATM. Bank put a hold on my card and I confirmed I didn’t make certain purchases but it was still embarassing.

Really excellent burgers — among the best I have ever had. The wait staff was attentive, there is an extensive beer list, and there are many tvs displaying televised sports. A great find.

Somehow never tried this place despite staying across the street every summer for a few years. But sure glad I checked it out after dropping off the luggage tonight. Burger was delicious, hand formed and seasoned ground beef. Everything I saw come out looked great. Bartender was nice, turned on Nationals game right in front of me after just seeing the hat I was wearing. If your looking for small American sports bar with great food, this is a no brainer. Will be back.

Every time I come to ocean city we come here at least once, considering its my dads favorite place to come. Mainly for the shuffle bowl however the food is good as well. The staff is very friendly and attentive! Their crab dip is great and their wings are amazing!

Great prices and super fun atmosphere. We were only in town for a day and really enjoyed it.

My finances condo is right around the corner and I am so shocked we haven’t found the gem sooner. The food was delicious! The drinks were poured perfectly and the price is right!
This bar has a lot of TVs so if you are catching a game while in OC I highly suggest this place.
I ordered the Old Bay wings and Chicken cheesesteak with waffle fries and both turned out great! There was a special for $ 4.00 mimosas and they were delicious. My friend also got a crabcake sandwich for $ 13 and he was impressed with the quality. I will be revisiting next time I am in town :)

Very friendly place with great food. Food is a step up from other similar OC spots. Had the Crab Cake and Oyster Po Bo which were both very good. The Pauley Po Boy is an awesome steak sandwich (real filet). Rolls are fresh.

I had the crab cake sandwich and cheese fries for an app. Very Very good. My friend had the Boom Boom burger and says it was delish. He had the crab dip as an app and it tasted fantastic on the cheese fries! All and All a very nice spot to visit and catch a game on tv! Would definitely come back.

We went to this location because of the good ratings on Unilocal and came out a bit disappointed. Good ratings should account for good food and also good service. While the food here maybe is above average, the service isn’t, bringing the overall rating to 2 stars in my opinion. Plus I found a guy at the bar laughing at a pornographic image on the green monitor/​game console/​contraption situated at the left corner of the bar, making this place pretty family unfriendly too.

Affordable prices and excellent food. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Definitely a regular go to. Locals love it.

Great, fun, casual atmosphere. Took or two young kids with us on a late Saturday night. We felt welcome. The kids loved the bowling game in the back. The food was delicious all around. We had requested a push order of sliders for our girls who were fading fast. The chef brought them out himself quickly. We will be back.

So good. Pulled pork potato skins and paulie poboy is what my boyfriend and I had. So delicious!

Showed up late with a group of 8, the service was fast, courteous and more than expected from the bar staff. Ordered plenty of good food and drinks. Certainly a must for anyone visiting the OC area when you want a little piece of local flavor!

Checked this place out tonight after seeing it multiple times. Had a very good bacon cheeseburger. Very relaxed local kind of place.

Great place and the ahi tuna was out of this world! I have been several times during the week and thought food was good but bartenders not friendly and welcoming but on the weekends it was totally different the bartender was great and the place was busy. Had a great time. I just wish the week day bartenders could take a lesson from the weekend staff would make a a great experience all the time.

A local’s hangout and sports bar. Emphasis is more on the bar than the restaurant part. The staff is friendly and the food is good, steamed shrimp is not to be missed. The locals are loud to the point of being annoying. It is better during the season when more laid back vacationers are visiting. It is useful to have a bar within walking distance to my condo so there is no risk of a DUI.

Great food, fun staff. This place used to be the Island Café in Ocean City, recently bought by the owner of Kirby’s Pub on 94^th Street. Totally renovated, this place has a great local vibe. Will absolutely be a place that will have a great crowd all winter long well after the tourists have gone. If you’re looking for a local’s watering hole, this is it. Make sure you try the Bangin’ Wings.

Just opened a few weeks ago. Nice place, clean and friendly. Bar & restaurant. The burgers were great! Best thing– very affordable!
